I came to The Office with a healthy amount of skepticism after reading some of the reviews. I'm pretty critical when it comes to restaurants and don't hand out 5-star reviews easily, especially in tourist-heavy areas where food is often overhyped and underwhelming. This place pleasantly surprised me. I ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp in sauce, and it was excellent. What really caught me off guard, though, were the vegetables on the side. They were so flavorful and perfectly prepared that I was genuinely impressed, which is saying a lot because vegetables are rarely memorable. The shrimp themselves were delicious and cooked perfectly. We also had the coconut-crusted lobster, which was very good as well. The only minor drawback was that the mashed potatoes were a little cold when they arrived. Overall, I'd rate the experience a 4.5 out of 5, which is high praise coming from me. Despite being in a tourist area, The Office delivered flavorful, well-prepared food and exceeded my expectations. What an amazing place. The ambiance was so therapeutic and upbeat as well. Ricardo and Christopher were fantastic in their profession and efficient service. I finally got to The Office during my last visit to Cabo and it was a great time. We went in the evening for dinner and didn't know there would also be performances taking place so that was a bonus. What a place! Recommend by family who frequent there when they are in Cabo. We made a reservation months in advance, definitely recommend via their website... We stopped at Cabo for the day, we walked all around the harbor to the end of the beach, then walked across the sand and entered the restaurant on the sand, we were worried as we docked late and arrived at the Office 15 mins late... they were packed .. but reservation honored and was given a table straight away overlooking the beach and rocks. Staff were incredible, firstly they poured shots of tequila, then took out orders. Everybody pitches in, refilling drinks, chips, salsas, asking about more drinks... etc. We ordered appetizers, taking it all in. Everything was brought out so quick despite how packed the restaurant was. Food was fantastic, Guacamole, salsas, don't forget to ask for the hot hot hot salsa! Wow. I had 12 guests with me. We had a great time eating here. We were there on the beach all day and it was a perfect time when the beach closed at 5 PM and we just went there for food. The food was amazing. The steak to the octopus the oysters were also fresh. The price is not the cheapest but none of us got sick. Our server was amazing because the tide was coming in and he was able to bring a lot of tears around us to put our bag so that it did not get wet. The Mexican coffee was so delicious. This is our second year going to the office for lunch while in port in Cabo San Lucas. I highly recommend making a reservation if you are going during a holiday. We were there New Years Day and they were turning away anyone without a reservation. The restaurant is a 20 minute walk from the port or take a water taxi. Just know it is a water entrance on the beach in front of the restaurant. We had a great lunch of tacos and fresh guacamole. Our lunches all came with guacamole so I would probably skip that next time. read more

Absolutely disgusting. Ok, this is a party central community, hot, smelly, also population location for people who just want to not behave as humans. I'm not a prude, and definitely enjoy parties and partying. I'm also not adverse to overly sexy people. But when you have dumb tourists having a waiter pour cheap-make-you-sick tequila down your throat, with a bottle that has been passed down more lips, than grandma in kissing booth... you know that any semblance of class is completely lost. It is so crowded, and expensive for what it is. The servers are really nice and try really hard to manage the sea of human bodies hurting themselves with bad alcohol and not so great food, who are also wearing the cheapest and tackiest headbands known to mankind. But the ambience is 100% Fort Lauderdale on a cheap binge. It has a demographic and cult following. Vini vidi, never to come back. But if this is your jam, rack your brains out! PS - the coconut shrimp were a little bit dry, but delicious, however, the mashed potatoes that they were served with... absolutely gross! read more

We decided to stop in at this restaurant based off of another tourist recommendation. If you are ever in Cabo San Lucas, I highly recommend you stop by this beach front restaurant. From the food to the service to the ambience it's fantastic. Let's talk about the food. We had already eaten at another restaurant but decided to stop in for drinks. Well, you can't have drinks without a snack so we ordered the chips, pico de gallo, salsa, guacamole and some handmade tortillas. Yes the tortillas were handmade literally by the lovely lady at the station right next to our table. Please see video below.Not only were the tortillas absolutely delicious and left me wanting more if I only had more room for them, but the guacamole was delicious and fresh the salsa had a light spicy essence. Everything we tried was absolutely fantastic. As far as our drinks go, My husband had a local beer served with lime, of course. I had a fresh tamarind margarita with Taheen on the rim. Nothing topped off my vacation quite like my margarita with fresh tamarind pulp. The staff were all very friendly and super helpful from seating us to recommendations and photos. Came here on the first night of my bachelorette trip and reserved a table in advance for 7 total gals. We came on a Thursday dinner, so their Fiesta Mexicana event was going on and it was such a vibe! Really aesthetic spot. We were seated right by the stage and participated in fun games, and had such a blast! And for the food/drink, it was all SOOOOO delicious! The ambiance is touristy and loud with a spring break type of crowd. Sitting next to partition separating establishment from beach allows you to get very acquainted with local vendors. We ordered several dishes. Tortilla soup, asada tacos, fish tacos, and a surf N turf plate. The chips, habañero salsa and guacamole were excellent. Tortillas are made fresh in house. Server Rogelio was patient and efficient. Tortilla soup, worst I've ever had. Asada tacos, far from the best we've had. Seafood entrees however, were thoroughly enjoyed. This place is one of the more known & popular tourist attractions, as far as restaurants go, in Cabo, The prices here have gotten bonkers. I don't mind that things have gone up here in Mexico in general, tourists have gotten away with getting over on traveling here for cheap for years. But the climb seems to not have been steady or gradual. These are essentially 4 star American food/restaurant prices now, and that's just not the quality to match. The ambiance here is amazing, you're eating right near the water and hearing the waves coming in all meal long, it's very nice. The upselling on all things is a tad over the top though, $25 for a shot of tequila? C'mon. They have people taking photos of you at the table then try and sell them to you. There's another guy with a tequila bottle in a holster, he blows the whistle while he pours shots in your mouth with you leaning back, a tip, don't drink that tequila. The experience again is cool, but I don't want to feel like your hand is in my pocket at every time I look up. I had the fried sea bass, my wife the fried tiger prawns, and nothing beats a table side made Caesar salad. Prawns were good too. Bottom line, The Office is a must if you haven't been when visiting Cabo, but my days of going every time I come are probably over considering the prices now. read more

We mainly stayed at our resort most of our trip. On our last night, we decided to come here. Not one bit of regret! Great entrance to the place as you walk in as you're surrounded by a hallway with walls of all types of different tequila's. We didn't have a reservation but were seated right away. You're brought right onto the beach and your table is literally on the sand. Great views, great ambiance and rapid service. There was a two person band (both singing, while one played the guitar and the other on a piano keyboard) Played a mixture of oldies and current hits. They were awesome and added to the fun there especially once the drinks started flowing. The food was awesome. I ordered the Tampiqunea which had a flank steak, refried beans, rice, guacamole, chicken enchiladas and a quesadilla. It was delicious! We also ordered the mixed beef and shrimp fajitas as well as the flan for dessert. Again all really good too. For drinks we had the margaritas, mojito, Paloma and multiple tequila shots. All really good as the drinks are made strong! One of the highlights of this place was our waiter Guillermo! Prompt, attentive, and simply enhanced our dining experience there. If there are "must go to' places in Cabo, you have to visit, "The Office", on Medano Beach. You can enter via land (flanked by a wall of spirits, mainly tequilas), or from the beach, like I did. I was there when they opened at 7 am and had the choice to sit on the deck, or on the beach, under covered umbrellas with my feet and chair in the Cabo beach sand. The pacific ocean ambiance is unparalleled. There you are, watching the sun rise from the ocean, silver reflections on the sea and the milld sound of soft waves, kissing the shore. The music in the background, is not too loud, just right. I must be in paradise. I decided to spend the first hour indulging in black Mexican coffee (very good) and sipping freshly squeezed orange juice (not too acidic and super). The wait staff was more than welcoming. My server was Edgar, a hospitality man, extraordinaire. First came out the complimentary chips and salsas (pico de Gallo, tomatillo salsa verde and by request the habanero concoction). All were fresh and fantastic. The big breakfast items (shrimp, lobster omelettes, etc) run at around $50 USD. Not being a breakfast person per se, I was looking for an entree with the smallest in volume footprint. My choice: The 3 eggs over medium, with medium crisp double bacon, special house potatoes (unique and good), Mexican pinto beans (soupy and amazing ), freshly made corn tortillas (prepared openly on site) and ranchero sauce (superb), on the side. FOOD was yummy. The coconut shrimp was good. This place gets so busy! We were lucky as a table of two to get sat right away. They have seating on the beach level and above where the bar level is. They have live music walking around too but expect to pay them if you say yes. It's best to say no thank you. Reservation ahead of time is recommended especially during busy meal times.
