I didn't catch names but it was a middle-aged woman with dark hair & an old man. Then right when I go to get ringed for my makeup, the old man says "I didn't know makeup cost this much! That's a lot". That comment made me uncomfortable and he proceeded to talk about how it costs too much. I just wanted to treat myself to new products and I felt judged for it. Finding an Indian-owned salon to get my brows done in South Jersey was hard, until I found Padma's. Voorhees has a wide variety of Indian-owned stores ranging from clothing, to food, to salons. Padma's offers many types of salon services and henna. I have now been going every few weeks for my brow threading over the course of several months. Padma's is located in a strip mall in Voorhees. It's not your average fancy or aesthetically-pleasing salon. However, it offers a good variety of salon/spa services as well as Indian wedding makeup. The women who work here are dedicated and do a great job. Because Padma's is well-staffed, they are able to accommodate a good number of customers at once. For eyebrow threading/waxing, appointments aren't required. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to get my threading done. Overall, I really like this place. The women who work here all do a great job. While they're not focused on exceptional customer service, they still do their best to make conversation and be friendly. For anyone who is familiar with foreign-owned businesses, Padma's has some of that sentimental "back home" feel. Their pricing is also much lower than others in the area; they charge $6 for brows and $4 for upper lip. This place is a true gem; I always make sure to plan my threading around the times in the area.

You should have asked if there was anything you or your staff could do to assist me and my daughter with removing our wet jackets after coming in from the pouring rain outside. During our call, you mentioned that you didn't think I would leave your salon after your mean and unnecessary exchange. I responded that you can't predict a person's reaction that's why you should be kind to ALL. Did you think I would sit in your business and feel uncomfortable, rushed and unwanted? Yes, I've only been there 6 times in 1 Year (thanks for looking that up) and I've never felt an overwhelming sense of peace or warmth in your space. Like most women, I look forward to my time in a beauty salon and when I can share it with my daughter it's even more special. Your behavior ruined that experience. Mind you, this is all because you failed to evaluate a situation before addressing the customer. You made the customer the problem and that's a problem. If a shampoo area was crowded by 5 people, but meant to accommodate 6 then that's a problem that requires your attention. If you ask a customer whose been in your salon for 90 seconds to move out the way then that's a problem. Reading your review, I still don't think you understand that this was unnecessary and ridiculous on your part. I reacted by taking my business elsewhere and sharing my experience. That is just laughable!! When I was sitting in his chair, he went on and on about how some of his clients are "pain in the asses" and one woman in particular had to come back later in the day because she was complaining that her hair looked terrible. No matter what this guy says, dont believe him. He doesn't know what he's doing with hair, I figured that out when he had to complain every five minutes about my hair being "soooo thick" when shampooing and blow drying it.
