I must confess, I am not a bubble/milk tea person. So when friends want to get bubble tea, I always choose other options available. So this is for all you non-bubble/milk tea people out there! Or, maybe bubble/milk tea people who want to try other drinks. I got the Mango Yakult drink and loved it! I don't get Yakult drinks very often, so it's always a treat when I do get to have some. I appreciated that we had the option to choose how much sugar and ice you wanted for your drink. For each drink, they offer different percentages; for example, for my Mango Yakult drink, I had the option of having 0%, 70%, or 100% sugar. For ice, they were able to provide all they had listed (less, regular, extra). I thought the balance between the Mango and Yakult was good. I'll go back some other time and try other drinks, but based off that Mango Yakult drink, it was great! The workers behind the counter were sweet and efficient; I didn't have to wait long for my drink, despite the room being semi-crowded. The place was clean and cute! It is a fun place to hang out.

We needed a little mid afternoon caffeine kick on our drive out of Seattle so we decided on this spot because it's near the freeway and they have online ordering. Selection - they have a very basic selection of boba teas and options. I'm lactose intolerant and decided to get their lemon black tea with boba and grass jelly. Service was friendly and they had our drinks ready upon arrival. The space of the cafe is really cute and clean which I appreciate it! Boba - I got my lemon black tea at 50% sugar and it was just right. Not overly sweet and very refreshing. My only downside was that I kept getting lemon seeds in my mouth, but at least they used fresh lemon. The boba was decent, not the best or worst I've had. The grass jelly though was just ok....the texture was a little weird from the usual.

After grabbing lunch nearby with a group of friends, we debated on if we wanted to grab something sweet like boba afterwards. CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice was about a 15 minute or so walk from where we were, so we ventured off to get some boba! This part of Bellevue is pretty busy, so if you can walk from wherever you are coming from, that would be the best way to go about it. There is parking nearby, but no destinated spots for this shop. It was late Saturday afternoon and it was busy inside this small boba shop. They do have a few seating areas and public bathrooms (need a key from staff). It was loud in there as well, so when the cashier was repeating my order back to me it was hard to hear. Luckily, I could see the screen and everything looked correct. All our drinks came out with no issues as well! Overall, a pretty solid place to grab boba from!

I think this place I've always been back at some random times with my friends that bring it up since there are so many other boba places here. I think the drinks are consistent, especially for the mango green tea that I always get to compare to other places. Services can vary I remember, but this time is good. The inside is small and cozy but it is clean. My only issue with this place is the location because there is no parking! Which is why I usually don't go here unless someone brings it up.

Such a great spot around the world, not just in Seattle. The best spot to go to for consistent drinks because they never mess up. Lots of favorites but I might have to narrow it down to the roasted milk tea. It might take a little longer because they need to roast the tea, but it results in a nutty, sweeter, and richer flavor. It's also a fairly uncommon item since I don't see roasted milk tea offered elsewhere. Other go-tos for me include 2 Ladies and Sago Taro. The boba here is bouncy in the chewiness and actually holds some flavor. The 2 Ladies comes with pudding which is amazing as well. Even the 3 Guys is exceptional because grass jelly is a pretty standard topping that never goes wrong. Just depends on how many toppings you'd like for the day - the three (boba, pudding, grass jelly) are one of the best combinations. I wish there was a specialized drink with boba and grass jelly though, but you can always order that yourself for a bit extra.

Note that CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice IS OPEN during Covid for TAKEOUT and DELIVERY ONLY! I'm actually surprised I've never written a review for CoCo. There are very few bubble tea chains that I will go out of my way for, but CoCo is definitely worth the drive over. My go-to order is a large roasted milk tea, 50% sweetness & no ice (the milk is chilled already so I never really think it needs ice, but you can also get light ice if you so desire) ($6). It's definitely a unique item that I have never seen anywhere else. I highly recommend this item if you like hojicha (roasted green milk tea) and/or strong nutty notes. My brother got the fresh taro milk tea (large, 70% sweetness, light ice) ($6.50) and enjoyed the taro chunks at the bottom of his drink. I think I've tried the regular taro milk tea (made from powder) here before, but it wasn't as good as the fresh one. Coco milk tea always has a smooth and creamy consistency- definitely not watered down like other bubble tea chains. Service was excellent. I pre-ordered the drinks on GrubHub and the drinks were ready for pickup within 15-20 minutes. The cashiers were friendly and had my drinks all ready to go in a plastic bag with my name on it. I was in and out of the door in less than a minute. All employees and customers were wearing masks. Social distancing is enforced on the sign outside of the door as well. Coco additionally has an excellent health rating so bonus points for that! Parking can be hard to find, but they have retail parking in the Marriott Courtyard garage. All of the spots are compact and very tight though. Overall: 5/5 for drinks, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for health and safety standards

Parking: Coco Fresh is located right next to Subway. Free retail parking is located in the Marriott garage up around the corner. COVID-19: There's no indoor seating and everyone wears masks inside. Drinks: There was a wide selection! We got the sago taro milk tea which was interesting since I usually don't get sago. The Roasted Milk Tea was one of the most expensive drinks, and I'm not sure why? It was good, but nothing spectacular. I'd come back to try more drinks, like the mango smoothie or Yakult drinks, especially since parking was easy!

This was my first time at Emerald City Smoothie in ten years and my first time at the Downtown Bellevue location. The interior is fairly small with only a few tables to sit/stand at and so it's mostly a takeout place rather than a place to meet with friends. Emerald City Smoothie has a wide menu and categorize their menu into five categories based on health goals: "Boost My Immune System", "Help Me Lose Weight", "Go Green", "Bulk Me Up" and "Nourish My Body". They also have a menu just for "Boosters" which cost extra and include everything from antioxidants to bees pollen to creatine and fat burner. Lastly, they have a Secret Menu which includes Banana Creme Pie, Matcha Green Tea, Maui Paradise, Mountain Berry Blast, Orange Creamsicle, Piña Colada, and Peanut Butter Cup. I'm pretty sure their secret menu is just drinks that don't fit into the other categories (or ran out of room for), because they had these same drinks on their menu ten years ago. I ordered the MATCHA GREEN TEA (16-oz) off the secret menu. This smoothie has soy milk, matcha, non-fat milk, and whey. For $7.44 (including tax), this was pretty pricey for a "healthified" matcha Frappucinno. They obviously don't use high quality matcha as the matcha color was on the yellow side and the taste was quite diluted and bland. It mostly just tasted like sugary blended milk with little to no matcha flavor; I was honestly disappointed, but drank it anyway. My friend got her favorite NUTTY BANANA (sub vegan protein) which has banana, peanut butter, protein, and nonfat milk, which is probably what I should've gotten instead. She also ordered a PB&J and MANGO MANIA for her family members which are also supposed to be decent. Lesson learned, stick with the fruit smoothies. Service was good- the baristas are friendly and efficient and we got our drinks within 10 minutes after ordering. Overall: 2/5 for drinks, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

Overall, I probably wouldn't order it again unless there's another BOGO and I would go in person to order on the spot rather than do a pick up order since it's basically just melting there on the counter.

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!
