Decided to try this place out of sheer convenience and because boba is life. It's a good spot with plenty of seating but it's kind of tucked away toward the back of a food court area. They do have a large sign though so it's hard to miss. Ordering is on multiple touch screens at the front counter. It was early evening on a weekend when I visited so there wasn't a line. Lucky me so I was able to scroll and see all the milk tea, fruit tea, and blended tea options. I got the mango fruit tea with fresh mango bits, no boba. I know, although boba is life I really only like them with milk tea. The fruitiness of the drink lingered and was just the right amount of sweet at 75% sweetness. Tasted like a dessert which is what I was craving after eating dinner nearby. My friend got a brown sugar drink and hated it. She handed it to another friend after a few sips. Clean and pleasant food court that is delightfully free of the sort of sketchy characters you see in lesser mall food courts (the is Bellevue, after all!). Excellent range of beverage choices and reasonable prices. Very pleasant and helpful staff. THE THORNS: One option is to get your beverage in a reusable bear-shaped bottle. While certainly cute, the bottle is extremely unstable and prone to tipping over. Save yourself the $3 extra and just use the normal cups. It's one of the food stalls located in the back of the Lincoln Square Food Hall, but their bright lighting and signage listing their most popular beverages make this place difficult to miss. The prices here are steeper than most other boba shops, with their specialty drinks starting at $7.50, but I figured it was worth a try. At the counter, use one of the two self-ordering kiosks to select your drink and pay. Most of their specialty drinks come automatically with fruit bits, but you can substitute those for a different topping at no extra charge. During both visits, the staff kindly answered our questions about customizations. While you can modify the sweetness, one employee mentioned that the differences in levels are pretty minor and they don't add that much sugar in the first place. I ordered both of my drinks at 25% sweetness which was just right. + N.E.R.D ($7.50): This is described as a guava lemonade with butterfly pea tea and strawberry bits. I unfortunately couldn't detect the flavor of guava nor the tea... this tasted like straight strawberry lemonade after stirring it up. Despite how pretty the drink was, it was unfortunately underwhelming. Sure, it was a good refreshing strawberry lemonade with juicy fruit bits, but it was not worth $7.50. + ABLOH ($7.50): Normally a mango and passionfruit green tea with mango bits, but I substituted the mango for boba. The flavor of the tea itself was pretty subtle, but I enjoyed the burst of passion fruit flavor. It was a nice tropical drink, and the boba was delightfully chewy, not mushy. If I ordered a traditional fruit tea or milk tea, then perhaps the actual tea flavor would have been more apparent. However, I just could not pass up ordering these two specials. Despite the great service, my rating ultimately comes down to the drinks. In terms of taste, they were fine, but compared to all the other boba spots in Bellevue, Drip Tea wouldn't be one of my top choices. read more

As it turns out, this version will become my favorite compare to two others that I will stumble upon within two weeks' time. This location is at the South Lincoln Square Food Hall. One star because it wasn't such a great experience from the very start. I visited the week of Christmas and contemplated whether or not to post a review. I tried to look up a phone number to reach the owner, but I wasn't able to find one. I get it, younger employees can be loud and obnoxious, but the gossiping instead of helping customers is a no go. I stood there as I wanted to ask for a recommendation since it was my first visit with my wife, and the girl behind the counter speaking loudly and gossiping with co-workers, I waited for 13 minutes and no acknowledgement but eyes rolling at my wife and I. I'm a fan of Drip Tea on Capitol Hill, so was glad to see it has made a home in Bellevue at the newly updated Lincoln Square Food Hall. Just like at its Seattle location, you'll find all the favorite drinks and some soft serve and options. I visited Drip Tea on a Saturday around dinner time and the food hall itself was busy with customers, including Drip Tea. Yet, instead of waiting in line to order with an employee, you can easily use one of the two touchscreens to order and pay. I ordered the Babycat blended drink, which is a taro smoothie with Oreo and a chocolate swirl. All of the drinks are pricey, which seems to be the case for most things in the Seattle area. With tip and tax, my drink was nearly $10, so it was steep. It didn't take too long to get my drink, but had to remind the staff to make my drink when they asked if I already ordered since I was standing around, waiting for it. Yes, I already ordered and paid, dude. They apologized for not seeing the order come through, which was not a big deal since I was in no hurry. The drink was good, but it's not $10 good. I love taro, which is the main reason I ordered Babycat. It had a good taro flavor and was blended nicely, with not too much ice. I'm just not sure I'd pay $10 again for this blended drink when the menu features much more to discover, including the ube soft serve for less. We shall see. read more

Drinks here were pretty expensive, I think my drink came out to around $9? So not somewhere I'd go all the time. Ordering is done on a kiosk, and then the staff will call your order when it's ready for pickup. Since it's in the food hall, there's lots of seating available, but it's basically open seating in the mall so it can get pretty loud too. read more

The milk tea was prepared very quickly and it tasted really amazing! The boba inside was warm and soft. I've been a fan of Drip Tea's Capitol Hill location for a few years now, so when I heard they opened one up in Bellevue, I had to give it a visit. Located in the Lincoln South food hall, Drip Tea now has a spot that serves unique and creative boba beverages, though I'll be honest, I come for their Thai Milk Tea everytime. The Thai Milk Tea is not a traditional Thai Tea by any means, but it's still equally delicious. They use a condensed milk syrup that they use the line the inside of the cup, and so when you mix it, that condensed milk flavor then permeates throughout the whole drink. The thai tea itself is the right amount of bitter, and the condensed milk syrup creates just the right amount of sweetness that isn't overpowering, something that the Capitol Hill location isn't able to do as well for me. The food hall itself is very casual. There's several tables for people to use to eat, drink, or even hang out. I've seen people playing chess, reading, and studying in that area. The pricing is comparable to other beverage spots in the area. My drink comes in at roughly $8, which I think is fair. They give you a sizable drink, and as far as I'm aware, there's only one size available. I'd love to see them offer a slightly smaller size at a lower price point for those that just want a little bit to satisfy a craving. Service is pretty quick - you order at one of two self-serve kiosks and they make your drink to order. I've come at various points on different days, and it has never been SUPER busy. The longest I've waited is probably around 5 minutes for them to make my drink. Parking for Lincoln South can be overwhelming. There's a paid parking lot directly underneath the building, and there's other parking lots in the area for other buildings in the Bellevue Collection. For free options, you'd probably have to either parking at the Bellevue Mall or Bellevue Downtown Park and walk over. With it being a few blocks from me, I have no problems walking over at least once a week to get my Thai Tea craving satisfied, and I fully intend to do so for the foreseeable future. read more

I love Drip Tea!! My favorite drink here is the 'heart eyes'. But all their other drinks are great, and they have a variety of topping options! The heart eyes is a matcha drink with fresh strawberry bits, and it's honestly so refreshing and delicious. It's not too sweet- the perfect matcha taste.. The location is pretty hidden which I think is why there aren't lines at the location but it definitely deserves a lot more recognition. Heard Drip Tea was opening at Bellevue and decided to check them out! We absolutely love the one in Capital Hill and had high expectations. We ordered two soft serves; strawberry shortcake and twisted vanilla/ube swirl. The soft serves were very icy and lack flavor, especially the ube one. It did not have a smooth or creamy consistency. We also ordered, "Heart Eyes" as our drink and it was honestly disgusting. We had to throw it away because there was this thick sourness that lingered throughout the drink and in your mouth, it could either be the milk or quality of matcha. The service is self kiosk but the employees there can also take your order, they were very friendly and attentive to any questions I had, gave me some awesome recommendations. Tried the Takahashi. The love the fresh strawberry bits that bring a refreshing and tart taste to the overall sweet peach black tea base. I only modification I made was 75% sugar since I love my regular teas. The lover boy drink was also very cute, the floral flavor was not too overwhelming, did make an ambitious judgement to do 50% sugar and the lemonade base became very sour and tart that it makes you pucker. DONT be like me, and try drinks at their normal levels first since they know what they're doing and make small adjustments first.
