I've been wanting to try a sweet corn latte and saw that cafe joy had one. It's only available iced which is fine. It's served with one of the lids that you can just sip from. That detail is only important because this is a drink that needs to be stirred. The first half-ish of the drink was just coffee before I had enough room to really stir it. Once I was able to, it was obvious that it had enough sweet corn syrup to sweeter that first half. It does genuinely taste like corn which is fascinating. Do I have an urge to try this particular drink again? Nope but it's a cute cafe and would definitely stop by again go try something else. My only critic for this drink is that the syrup really should be stirred with the coffee because the lid implies that you wouldn't need to. read more

The sweet corn latte is fairly unique and delicious. The coffee mixes quite well with the sweet corn puree below; make sure to mix it well so you won't end up drinking pure sweet corn or coffee at a given point. The mango matcha latte is solid, just a little artificial tasting from the mango syrup. The K-street toast is fairly hearty with some ham, eggs, and 2 thick slices of toast. It also comes with a potato salad. The strawberry matcha croffle is good amount of sweetness and the matcha cream is dalgona like. I've tried many drinks from their menu and they were all great, but my favorites are the strawberry dalgona latte and the dalgona latte. They have so many unique flavors, and you can't go wrong. If I could drink one coffee drink for the rest of my life, it'll probably be this. It might sound strange, but it's a truly delicious combination. If you're not into coffee, they also have matcha drinks or dalgona drinks. I also got the mango matcha (they also have a strawberry version), which was just perfectly sweetened. You can get most drinks either hot or iced. They also have croffles and cakes and other desserts to pair with your drinks. The staff are very knowledgeable and kind. I asked a lot of questions regarding dairy in different drinks and they were able to answer all of them for me, and were very patient too. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, which is perfect for chatting with friends or cafe working. Parking might be difficult to find as it is street parking only. I've been to Cafe Joy a couple of times, but this time ultimately blew me away and made it a staple for my favorite Bellevue cafes. Looking at various reviews on Google Maps, I came upon an intriguing one talking about subbing the Sweet Corn Latte for a Sweet Corn Matcha. Tempted, I ordered this drink (just order one [sweetened] matcha latte with sweet corn foam) and I was so glad I did! This might've been one of the BEST MATCHA DRINKS I'VE EVER HAD, quite literally sending me into another dimension. As a matcha enthusiast, I don't take saying such things lightly. The combination was the perfect taste to satisfy my cravings and immediately had me ready to go back. Previously, I've had their Strawberry Matcha as well (also recommend) and Dalgona Coffee (not too much a fan of their coffee), but the sweet corn matcha today topped it off. Their service is great too, with generally 1-2 very nice baristas working together and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the space being absolutely adorable to study in![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They're right across from the Bellevue Library, so parking is free and easy, and if you're taking public transit it's only a 10 minute walk from the Bellevue Transit Center! I've been excited to try out Cafe Joy as soon as I saw they were opening in Bellevue! I've been dying to have a K-style cafe in the area, especially close to work! Overall, we were happy with our experience and look forward to returning to try out more of their menu. The drinks were good, though I think I should have mixed mine more since the sweet corn syrup settled a bit at the bottom. I ended up using it to make another drink at home though, so it worked out perfect. Also, the k-street toast was made to order and super delicious! I think it was around $25 for two drinks and the toast which felt very reasonable. The toast came with a little side of pasta salad, too.
