This one on Fresh Meadows is quite small for seating arrangements, but still a fun spot to get bubble tea as there are a lot of things to do at Fresh Meadows. They have a lot of options to choose from, but the one that I usually get is the passion fruit bubble tea. They're also known to make good suggestions if you have never tried their bubble tea before, but the passion fruit is definitely delicious. Such good boba! I've had the Okinawa fresh milk tea with boba and the classic milk tea with boba. Both of them were the perfect sweetness for me (not too sweet) and the boba is cooked well. The flavors are really good and they have a lot of different options too. They get the drinks out super fast too! Today, I used the new kiosk to order my taro bubble milk tea today. Unfortunately, Leo, DW, and Nick refused to serve me my bubble tea. I feel discriminated against as the only woman of color In the establishment with coily hair.. they publicly refused to serve me my drink after paying for it and insisted I pay an up-charge to receive the item I purchased. It was highly embarrassing since I decided to support their business a few minutes prior to my physical therapy session and over their competitor Möge Tea across the street. The gave me a receipt and told me, "handle the refund yourself because we are not giving it to you". I've contacted upper management via the website and hope to be recompensed quickly. read more

I like CoCo. I think they're a pretty good bubble tea chain. Each location however, differs and this one is pretty bad. Situated right off the LIE and next to an IRIS bakery, I figured that this location would be the same as the others, fairly quick service with tasty drinks. This location only had 1 person making drinks and taking orders while the other staffer was busy making the bubbles. We only had one order in front of us but it took almost 20 minutes to get an order in and have the beverages made. If this was Flushing, they would've had a riot since no one is willing to wait that long. Going to bypass this location in the future unless they get more help. read more

This is the second time it happened where the customer service isn't fully up to par. I'm not necessarily sure if it's just the cashier's having a bad day or they need to work on how they address answers. Regardless, me and my friend were interested in buying the buy one get one 50%. As soon as I mentioned my order, "Can I get the buy one get one-" *As I point to the poster at the same time* I was interrupted mid sentence, "You mean the buy one get one 50%. Not a buy one get one", the cashier replies. Hmmmn okay maybe they like to make themselves clear. I decided to move on and continue with my order. My friend interjects by saying she wanted with no ice. Immediately the cashier gives me an annoyed undertone of "No the Thai milk tea cannot be without ice. You can't make it without ice." I understood and asked, "Okay can we have it less ice then?" And he sounds more annoyed by answering, "You HAVE to have ice! It's either regular ice or hot. It doesn't taste good without ice." At this point I knew this was bull because I have been to other CoCo stores where they can make it with different variations of ice or not. If they do not feel like taking the ice out, then I would have accepted their honesty. (I just generally don't want to have my drink too cold on a cooler day and only drink hot on a really cold day) Instead he offered to have it hot and make it warm or to have one hot and one iced. Knowing how complicated this order is becoming without me fully finishing it (I had one more drink to add), we just agreed to have it hot. Before I even had a chance to add my other order he proceeds to announce my order as if it's done and how much it costs. At this point I am annoyed myself at how rude he is becoming and how rushed this is. There were no customers in sight. I am not sure if they were treating me like a high schooler due to Francis Lewis close by but I think there are more appropriate ways of addressing or talking to customers about a product. The reason why this review wasn't a 1 star or a feeling of 0 is because the order was done correctly and quickly. I don't look forward to coming here as often as I have hoped. I have been here on and off since the beginning... the staff situation hasn't changed, but you got the regular staff work there often. Their attitudes aren't great toward end of their shifts, but I don't blame them for being there often because short of staff in general (work at this location and other location), and going to school at same time. we are all humans and please be more understanding. Not all of us have to work while we are in school. Yes they have a small price hike, but their stuff tasted better than other places nearby. I know a lot of nearby places offer bubble teas, but they taste like over sugar coated plastics that gave me heart burn every time I got home. All I am saying here, please be considered. Put yourself in other people's shoes sometimes. I had not had many experiences with this company nor their stores. There is a good variety of drinks on the menu. This location is here only for convenience of the product. It does not offer much else.. it is a small store attached to the side of the Iris bakery. There is no seating area in Coco Fresh, and barely any parking because the shared lot only holds like 4 cars. You are forced to find street parking. There is also no incentive for loyalty- no punch cards or reward system for being a customer compared to other bubble tea companies. This location feels to be aimed towards the commuter without a car, such as high school kids. Luckily there is a high school close by. I tried the Mango Yakult, which was okay but more diluted than I would have liked (too much ice). It was sweet, but not overly sweet which is good. Bubbles are not free; they are available for additional charge. I opted for no bubble and thought they were a bit pricy. Overall impression was kind of just ehh. Nothing stands out really. We were there late in the evening when there were no other customers. I can't imagine what it would be like to be in that crowded store front when there are about 10+ people on line. While watching them make my drink I remembered that a few times the cups were pretty sticky because they over fill and they don't wipe the cup down. So I asked the girl (found out later her name was "Jen") behind the counter if she can rinse the cup for my kids but she looked at me like she didn't understand so I said it again in Chinese so she'd understand. She proceeded to argue with me that she didn't spill the drink. I told her I'm watching her make the drink the entire time. OMG it's like I was making an unreasonable request or something. Brand new coco on Horace Harding Expy and 182nd street. So excited about the new location being a long time Coco fan!! They have a small parking lot in front of the store but there are definitely plenty of parking spots on 182nd street. For a limited time they have this wheel that you can spin with various offers (eg. BOGO, free topping upgrade and etc) so definitely take advantage of that! ( Offer ends 4/30/17) Drink wise they taste the same as all other Cocos. My friend thought it was a bit sweeter so thats something to consider when ordering. Price is same across all the Cocos with the large Grapefruit Yakult being the most expensive I believe ( don't quote me on that). If you are new to Coco, definitely try the Three Guys or the Two Ladies to start and see which topping/s you prefer. There is a large section that is currently undergoing renovations so I believe there might be seatings coming up but thats just a wild guess. Hopefully they will have that so we no longer need to head to the ever so busy Flushing to get bubble tea no more. read more

Nice to have a bubble tea spot a block from home. I just wish they had more options and flavors (there are only 5 slush options), but I'm sure they'll add more as customers request them. Not cheap for their more exotic drink combinations, but $3.75 for a medium tapioca milk tea is about the norm. If they start offering stamp cards like tons of other bubble tea joints, they'll be more likely to create repeat customers. I went in because it was new but just like other Cocos, I am not a fan. I irdered large bubblebtea with milk 50% sugar which was 4.75. Went I tried to pay with CC, cashier said sorry $5.00 minimum, you have cash? The way she said it was kinda abrasive. The bubble tea was very sweet..my 14 yr old daughter even complain about how sweet it was. If this was 50% I would think the normal tea would leave you in a diabetic coma! I ordered a Lemon Honey with aloe vera. When my drink was ready the lady asked if it was for me and if it is she does not recommend me drinking it because it has aloe vera. She told me NO REFUNDS NO EXCHANGES. Then i pointed to their own sign that says NO REFUNDS. EXCHANGE ONLY. Gee, what do you know?
