I saw Mo'cha Bubble Tea and felt that it would be fitting to get some. It's cute inside with places to take photos of your food and drink. We saw that the menu had macarons, but we didn't see any in the display case. We did see a few Cheesecake Factory slices. There were a lot of milk tea options. I wasn't feeling milk tea. I'm more of a fruit tea person. I got a large peach green tea. The woman behind the counter never asked me for my ice and sugar levels. I'm not sure if it's because she was new or if I was too busy chatting with my friend. I did get coconut rainbow jelly as a topping. This place has quite the selection of toppings, from chia seeds and real fruit chunks, to popping boba and crushed Oreos. We took photos as I waited for my drink. The two female staffers were working on my drink. There is bar seating to sit down. It faces the window, which is cheerful. My drink was ready. This store has bamboo straws. Nice! I sipped my bubble tea as we drove eastbound. I enjoyed my peach green tea. It was cold. The peach flavour was excellent, as was the green tea. I would have liked less sugar. It wasn't horrible, though. I'd estimate that the sugar level is set to 20% by default. The coconut rainbow jelly was excellent. It was chewy and delicious. This drink is probably one of their best promos! The popping pearls went perfectly with the drink, so full of lychee flavour, and the slush was perfect for a hot day. It was still quite sweet, I'll try even less sweetness level next time. This location is inside a small store with other food vendors. Service was alright, quick but nothing special.

I had taken advantage of this deal at the CoCo by York University. On Sunday, after a fun time at the Botanical Expo at Evergreen Brick Works, I felt like getting this deal on its final day. I did a search on the Fantuan app and this CoCo in the Riverdale-Leslieville area was the closest one. Perfect! I got the following large bubble teas: - Strawberry black tea ($0.01) with coconut jelly ($0.60) - Lemon green tea I got both teas with no sugar and less ice. It's my usual. This CoCo is diagonally across from Gerrard Square. It's on the southeast corner of Gerrard Street East and Marjory Avenue. I used to spend a lot of time along this stretch of Gerrard Street East years ago. It has definitely changed! My original thought was to try and park along Gerrard. There weren't any spots. Instead, I cycled around the block and drove northbound on Marjory (it's a one-way street). I parked next to CoCo just before I got to Gerrard. There's a side entrance to CoCo on Marjory. Since it was my first time at this store, I decided to go through the main door. If you require accessibility help to get in and out of this store, you are out of luck. The store's construction is old, so there are only steps to get in and out of the store. I had the nicest woman help me out at the counter. I let her know that I had a Fantuan order. I rattled off the last three digits of my order number. She nodded and picked up a bag that was next to her. She handed it over to me with a huge smile. I thanked her for my order and wished her a great day. She reciprocated. This store does not have any seating to sit down and enjoy your beverage. I reckon that it used to before the pandemic. There's lots of space where the orange-lit CoCo logo is. I'm sure that there was seating in that area. I'm also pretty sure that this location was where Grinder Coffee was before CoCo took over. Although sad that the cafe closed, it's nice to see a bubble tea joint in this area. I had the strawberry black tea as I drove home. It's my favourite drink. This drink is made consistently no matter which CoCo location I visit. I loved the strawberries and how naturally sweet they were. The black tea was perfect. I always enjoy coconut jelly in this drink. So good! I had the lemon green tea the following day. I love the tart lemon with the green tea. It's such a refreshing drink. I dig this store. When I'm in the area again and feel like bubble tea, I'll return to this store for my fix. (195)

Last night, I was driving home from dinner downtown. I noticed this Gong Cha. It was new to me. It is located diagonally across from Kew Beach Public School, where I went to school many moons ago. There were people in the store. I decided to check it out. I made a left turn on Elmer Avenue, did a three-point turn, and parked southbound on it. I then took a brief walk over. The store has a mini ramp in front of the door. Accessibility is there for folks who have difficulties going up and down a step. The door, however, requires that you tug on it going into the store, so it could be challenging for those with dexterity issues. I was greeted by three male staff members. I realized with the balloons by the window and a sign that it was this store's grand opening. More importantly, I had come on the second-last day of its buy-one, get-one free drink deal to mark the occasion. Yay, me! I looked carefully at the BOGO bubble tea options. I settled for the following: - Pearl milk tea - QQ peach green tea Both drinks were large in size. I went with my usual order of less ice and no sugar for both of them I paid with my debit card. I tapped and all was great. I had the receipt texted to my phone. I added some change into the tip jar. I rarely have change and decided to use it. One man went in the prep area to make my teas. You don't see all the action happening like you do at most bubble tea stores. My guess is that this store is older and mall that it wasn't possible to showcase making the drinks in front of you. The weird thing was seeing his other two colleagues sitting on the floor. You'd think that perhaps staff could get stools or seats in this place. Nope. Shortly after I had added change to the tip jar, one of the seated men got up from the floor and counted how much was in said jar. It was weird to me, especially doing it in front of a customer. Anyway, I moved my focus over to the menu. This place makes croffles. I was elated to see them on the menu. Had I not been so stuffed from dinner, I would have ordered one. Next time! It didn't take long for my drinks to be made. The nice man asked if I wanted a bag. I said yes. He put a recycled tray for my drinks in a paper bag with handles, and gave me three straws from my two drinks. I'm not sure why I got an extra straw. Maybe he felt that I would lose one walking to my car. I thanked him and happily walked out with my drink haul. I then drove home. I had the pearl milk tea last night. So good! I love how yummy the roasted milk tea was. The tapioca was slightly sweet, which made my evening. This afternoon, I had the QQ peach green tea. The tapioca balls surprisingly held up nicely overnight. The coconut jelly has a better chance of being fine, so I wasn't worried about it. My drink was perfect. The green tea was refreshing and yummy. The peach flavour was subtle, but still noticeable. The toppings made this drink fun and enjoyable. I'd get it again. Today's the last day of this store's grand opening promotion. Even without it, I'd go back to try a croffle. I would imagine that parking can get crazy , especially during the summer. I got there at around 8:30 pm on a Sunday evening and had no problem finding a side street to park.
