Hey everyone I'd like to share my completely honest opinion about my wonderful experience here yesterday as a walk in appointment only with my trained service dog. I had to do errands yesterday in Schaumburg and didn't call the reception desk to book a nail appointment so I walked in unannounced with packages, my mountain dog and ZERO notice. I was accommodated on the spot, offered a cool beverage (coca cola) and told to relax and have a seat after picking two chrome colors for my no chip manicure. Ben took extremely good care of me asking how short each nail will be and the shape I desired and he took his time making sure he carefully removed old products from my nails, cut my cuticles after soaking and even applying a double layer of chrome powder at the end so my chrome won't chip off so easily. Ben is a very talented manicurist who will listen to you and we had a great conversation too. Make sure to ask for Ben -- he'll take very good care of you. Second time coming, second time being disappointed. I brought my daughter for her bday in January. She chose a gel polish with design. The lady said "no gel" and proceeded to slap on layers of standard polish on my daughter's nails. Her nails were a mess and were peeling off within two days. Fast forward to today. My Appt was at 4 for a pedicure and builder gel fill. I was asked if I wanted a design or plain color. My nail tech was switched twice. The second time the man happened to have a picture up of a nail design he had just finished. I thought, great, he can handle a 2 nail leopard design. I provided a picture of the nails, he took the picture of a picture... referred to said picture ONLY TO DO ALL BLACK FRENCH TIPS. At that point it was 6:40 pm. I was tired, hungry, and annoyed at the flaws easily pointed out with my old set, while willfully ignoring the obvious service flaw he was making. Did I pay?, yes. Did I tip?, also yes. Should I have requested it be fixed? Yes, but when you've been in the nail salon for almost 3 hours, I was just ready to go home. My cuticles were not even trimmed. I still don't understand the point of taking a picture of a design if you're going to do whatever his heart desired. read more

I never get my nails done, but my friend was getting engaged and asked me to join her when getting hers done. Jenny (?) almost sanded my entire fingernail off on my right hand and it hurt really bad and was red for about a month. Also my nails were incredibly weak and brittle and broke super easily for about 5 months after I went here. They also kept my friend and I waiting around for almost 2 hours because the workers went out of order of the clients for some reason that only benefited them. Also I showed my lady a picture of white and red nails and she gave me pink and red because she had me send the picture to her, and her phone screen was too dark so it appeared pink instead of white. And my nails were bulbous looking from so many layers of whatever, and one of them broke off after 1 week. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I saw it on my way to work and figured I'd give it a try since it's close to home. It was not a planned appointment so I had work clothes on, but pants were loose enough to pull up for a pedicure and I would opt to wear their flip flops home as I didn't bring my own. (This is important later). There's a young girl up front to assist with checking in and paying but every transaction she tried to assist on staff stood over her and criticized the whole time. I like the variety of service offered. I had a coffee pedicure that smelled divine. The massaging chairs were hitting the right spots in my back and helped get me relaxed. The time spent on the various lotions and scrubs was adequate but that's where it stopped. There was no shaping or cutting nails, no cuticle work nothing. When he began the polish he pulled my pants legs down with no caution for the WAX that was smeared all over my legs and the bottom 2 inches of my Aritzia pants are completely ruined. I asked him to fix a few edges where the polish bled over and at that point there was no going back. I let him finish, sat under the dryer for about 15 minutes, paid and left. I did tip, though I regret it now. I came home looked down and the polish literally was running down the side of my toes. Needless to say I had to pull out polish remover and take it all off. I got to cocos nail bar with my two friends. They started with pedis and my girl was awesome. She was very funny and very kind, just wanted to help me have beautiful toes. The color I wanted vs the ones on my toes were different I wanted a light pink but she gave me more of an orange color which is fine because it was still nice! She shaped them nice and painted them very nice. Overall pedicure was good, id give her a 5/5! I got dip for the first time. The lady that took me did a good job. However she did file my nail so hard I winced. And had two cuts on my fingers. She looked up smiled and said sorry. She also was on the phone for a bit which I didn't mind. I'm not really sure how dip is suppose to be, I've heard many different things about dip how you're not suppose dip your entire nails in the jar for sanitary reasons, I also noticed her tools weren't new, she just pulled from her drawer. And she didn't make me wash my hands? So wasn't really sure how that worked if it's different than a no chip bc that's what I usually do. They were extremely rude and pushy. First time at this salon. I asked for the cost of a basic pedi, did not want or need anything else. I always bring my own polish. They just shoved a book at me. The pedicurist immediately said "oh $39.00, yes"?, I said, "no, I was quoted $32.00". She then said "oh $39.00 much better, you want $39.00". I said no, I don't. She then got extremely sour with with me, brought out a table with a bunch of salts on it and said: "you want this"?, I said no, just a basic basic pedicure. Then she became angry. This actual salon is really pretty, it does look like there is a service bar but I didn't see nor was I given a drink menu. The appointment was for two people at 6:30pm and weren't assisted until 7:30pm. They close at 8pm, by the time the pedicure was done most of the clients were gone and workers were cleaning so the lady who was doing my nails did the wrong shape and was doing everything in a rush. The staff was friendly upon arrival and during the appointment but there is a lack of time management, also asked for student discount since it's advertised on their Instagram and at first the told me no until I showed them. Went to get my acrylics removed and the lady didn't soak my nails or anything calm. She tried to get another acrylic underneath / between my nails to make them pop off. Like wtf. I am new to the area and needed to get a no-chip manicure. I tried this salon because it is convenient to my new house. My nail tech was very young and I think relatively new to the profession because she did not take the polish all the way down the nail and barely did any cuticle work. It's not even a week since my manicure and it looks like I had my nails done 2-3 weeks ago. She was extremely nice and I believe with time she will be much better. Second visit and I will not go back. the place is beautiful but had today's experience bothered me. started my pedicure and had to correct the guy a few times that I wanted regular polish and not no-chip on my toes. Made it VERY clear I wanted DIP on my nails- they gave me swatches and I spent the entire time picking out a color I loved! When I went to the nail desk, I was told that that swatch was no-chip and not DIP!! So they gave me Dip swatches and I had like 2 seconds to pick a color. I picked a color, and although any shade of pink is fine, it was nothing like the shade it looked on the swatch. Color and the job he did was great, but it was annoying that the whole time they gave me the wrong swatches. also, I asked if they had time to do my eyebrows, to which they said YES... but when my nails were done, they had already given me the bill. I just decided not to remind them. Asked him if I could put my sandals back on, he checked the toe, I checked out and went to the store Ross. when I got home, my big toes were smudged on both feet. Also, for being such a big salon, I'm surprised they don't have more dip colors. Not impressed. Everyone is polite and professional but I think the language barrier causes a problem. read more

My sister in law and I decided to try this place and we loved it! It's definitely the most professional nail salon I've ever been to. There's a hostess that greets you at the door and gives you menu books of the different pedicures and nail colors. Then someone walks you to your chair and someone else comes to offer you water, orange juice, or a mimosa! All free! The nail techs walked out with trays with pedicure supplies and products based on what pedicure you picked. We both did the lavender! All the tools were sterilized in autoclaves! (The autoclaves are on display) reasonable prices especially considering what you get! *update* I have been back a few times and things have definitely changed. The grand opening customer service isn't there anymore. The staff isn't friendly at all and looks quite miserable being there. They don't offer anything to drink even when they have a wall of champagne bottles. The only thing they really have going for them now is the decor. read more

Once, a nail technician began to take off my acrylic nails by just peeling them off with another acrylic nail, snapping them off, of course peeled off layers of my real nail and damaged it visibly. I recently moved to Schaumburg and was looking for a new nail salon. I tried a few salons and wasn't impressed. This past Saturday I decided to try another one. I would give this place zero stars if possible. Horrible experience from start to finish. Against my better judgement, I ignored the reviews, which was my first mistake. I had made an appointment, to which I had showed up for. They were running about 10-15 minutes behind, but whatever. While I was waiting, I noticed that several people brought in their small children, and they had phones and tablets that were playing on full blast, and the kids were screaming. Management did nothing. It was finally time for my manicure. They put me with this older woman who was very rude. I sat down and said hello, and she just ignored me. She then grabbed my hand rather hard, and proceeded to put acetone on the cotton, to remove my old polish. She slapped in on, and the cotton went all the way up to my knuckle. You can tell she was trying to move at lightning speed, and didn't care. She then proceeded to dig her nails into my hand, as all this was taking place. I asked her politely if she could please lighten up her touch, and that her nails were hurting me. She didn't even bat an eyelash. Then while I was waiting to for the polish to soak off, there was another employee next to me, just sitting there, with her phone on speaker mode, which which was very loud and obnoxious. I asked her to please turn it down, and she gave me a dirty look. Now it was time to take the acetone cotton off. The manicurist then asked me if what I wanted again, even thought I had told her twice that I was here for a dip manicure. She looked at me all confused and said "So you want a gel manicure"? I said "No, I want a dip manicure". By this time I had no confidence in this woman and spoke to the manager. I explained to him that I think there is some sort of language barrier, because she could not understand what I was asking for, plus she was incredibly rude. At this point in time, I asked to be put with another nail tech, as I didn't have any confidence that she knew what she was doing. I was told it would be twenty minutes. I said fine, and I sat and waited patiently. The atmosphere was like a ghetto laundromat. Kids screaming, parents ignoring their kids behavior, music blasting, two televisions going, and multiple customers on their cell phones on speaker mode. It was anything but relaxing. I told the manager that most salons do not allow this, as that is just basic salon etiquette. He didn't seem phased and just kept walking. Well...that twenty minutes came and went, and another twenty minutes went by. At this point my I had enough. I walked out of the salon with bare nails, and told the manager that this was absolutely ridiculous. Fortunately I was able to get an emergency appointment at my old salon that I used to go to in Arlington Heights. I will never go anywhere else again, as apparently Schaumburg doesn't seem to have quality nail salons, which is such a shame. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A CRAPPY MANICURE WHERE THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH AND HAVE YOUR TIME WASTED! read more

Stephanie did my no chip mani. She was great. Good conversation and prepared my nails well. I came in with an inspiration pic. Neutral polish with ombré silver and touches of star stickers. I was unsure of the glitter ombré but she made sure I was happy with the ombré before she did it on all 10 nails. She however was not able to finish my nails. Another young man took Stephanie and made her take another customer. They were getting busy, which I understand. She apologized, and the young man proceeded to wrap up my nails. He was so rushed it was disturbing. The rest of the ombré glitter was sloppy and he didn't place any of the stars carefully. Claiming they'd only stick on if clear acrylic was placed over it. They'd stick on fine if he would've taken his time, or let Stephanie finish. Constantly saying that next time I come in, I should get acrylic, etc. Just annoying. I was just chatting with Stephanie about how good my nail beds are and how no chips are fine. He completely ruined the whole vibe and had 0 interest in my nails. Last thing I noticed because I pay very close attention..while the guy was finishing up on my nails, Stephanie came and grabbed her cuticle pusher and clipper from her station. To use on the other customer?? So was mine not clean?? I will not be coming back, which is a shame. When you first walk in the atmosphere is gorgeous but the service is AWFUL.. All of us girls work in the service industry, so we tend to be understanding and never usually complain but this is is unacceptable and I feel that this business needs to be made aware of the issues going on. First, my sisters toenails were forced to be redone. The woman before had gel polish all over her toes, the toenails were all crooked, not cut down, and the free edge was super rough. She tried telling her multiple times during the service to fix it but she ignored her. Thankfully Mike fixed them, he is the one person that we love! My lady was nowhere to be found for an hour. Someone else came and put my nails to soak in acetone... and they were soaking for an hour. My poor cuticles are suffering. My nails aren't the worst of the bunch, but they are meh. The color is very sheer, and my service was obviously rushed and she kept telling me throughout the service that she hasn't had breakfast or lunch all day, which i understand, but it was 1:00 pm and I felt guilty for getting my nails done at that point. She was also very rough and when using the drill she kept on nipping at my cuticles. My one friends nails are alright, she asked for white but received nude pink instead, and they are messy. I'm now to my 6th week. Nothing has budged. I've never had a manicure last as long as 10 days before. I'm going to go back to Hannah. If my nails hadn't grown i could go longer with the same polish.
