I went in today for a shellac manicure and I was so impressed! They were busy but they got me right in. All the girls were really sweet and friendly. My shellac manicure is BEAUTIFUL and looks just as good (if not better) than some of the $65 shellac manicures I've had (this one was only $35). Okay. This place is amazing if you get the right person. Aka, the manager. They will either give you the best nails of your life, or completely ruin you if you get someone who doesn't give a crap about you. If you enjoy Russian Roulette, go here. I went to have my full set removed about a week after they were done because I was due with my baby any day and didn't want to deal with the maintenance at the time. They didn't even file the nails down first. Girl just plucked the nails from my fingers and I'm not kidding ripped a hole in my nail. My actual nail. Exposing flesh. And when I said "OW, YOU'RE HURTING ME" she said "oh, do you need me to be more gentle?". No I just enjoy my nails ripped from my fingers. She proceeded to put acetone on it. I think I almost cried. I had to wear a band aid for weeks until my new nail grew back. Also, when I was getting my nails done for my wedding a while before this, I had a girl who just belittled me and told me I was making a wrong choice for my nail color (nude??) and that I was too young to get married (21?). Just left this place and am so frustrated... worst experience for a pedicure and fill I have ever had and I've been getting my nails done almost 10 years now!!! I called and made an appointment because last time I tried walking in they were slammed (good sign right?) so got there and picked the spa signature pedicure ($38) I also showed the lady doing my pedicure a picture of what I wanted on my fill and specifically asked if they did marble... she said yes and to pick my color so I did and sat back to enjoy the pedicure. However 5 minutes later another woman comes up and asks if I'm getting a fill and starts doing my fill in the chair; I've had this done before when a place is slammed and they're trying to get everyone in but even this lady said "it's slow today" so I don't understand why I had to spend the next hour with my right arm being pulled across my body uncomfortably and do the fill then; she ran her machine so badly i had to pull away my fingers were on fire and again I'm no rookie I've done this before!!! She just asked "hot?" And kept going She also took a nail off that had a corner broken honestly just to charge me for a fix I think, during this she clipped the nail AND MY SKIN off! I obviously didn't enjoy the pedicure as I was being twisted for the fill and was told I had to turn the massage chair off because it was shaking which again is kind of a big deal with a pedicure; especially since this pedicure just meant slap some oil on you and call it good there was a little massage done but not a "spa signature" When it came time to do my nails the woman goes to start painting and I was irritated because she hadn't asked to see the picture and had no idea what I wanted, so I show her and she says she can't do that, I told her the other woman said this place could and thank god a third woman showed up and was able to give me pretty nails or I'd have walked out!! On their menu a fill is $25 with a nail fix at $5 but somewhere they added $20 probably the designs I ended up getting because my total was $88 and not worth it.... I didn't get the matte top coat I wanted but honestly was so sick of this woman messing up and hurting me (my shoulder aches from being in an awkward position so long and I am young and workout a ton I'm the last person who should feel this!!) i just wanted out of there and didn't bring it up... so yes I know TLDR for most of you but go somewhere else you'll regret going here! what a refreshing and much needed take on a nail salon! attempting to get myself out of a funk, i decided i would treat myself to a pedicure. however, already being in a crummy mood, i was not about to find relief at a dumpy nail salon! i was craving a more classy, spa-like environment...SOOOO glad i found this place on yelp!! located on tacoma ave and division in the stadium area, i have found what i have been looking for! The salon has been remodeled and open for about a month now...the owner is great and super excited and proud of his new salon. They rated very high for their health inspections. And are actually one of the three salons that carry 7 first class spa-pedicure chairs. Unlike what is commonly used in your average salon, these chairs do not use water to blow bubbles while your feet are soaking (this is known to spread bacteria and lead to infection because the contaminated water gets sucked back into the jets and blown out for the next clients use) La bella takes cleanliness seriously and went the extra mile in getting these spa-pedicure chairs that use air instead of water to blow all the bubbles. La bella is all remodeled and a very relaxing atmosphere. The whole back wall is all windows that look out to the sound area. I got a "classic" spa-pedicure that cost $25 which i would gladly pay for the kind of encironment and treatment i recieved (they were very thorough). This is a great place to take your girl friends (though i would recommend calling for an apointment) or for special occasions- weddings, birthdays, parties. GREAT place for a gift certificate!!! My mother and sister flew in to visit from out of state and after a week of wandering all over Seattle and Tacoma we decided it was time for some pampering for our tired feet. I called this salon about 45 minutes before we wanted to leave. They took our appointment immediately and we were treated very well. I wish I had a better review to give. Based on all the good reviews on Yelp, I diverted from my regular salon thinking I could find an alternate closer to home. Good service is hard to find so I have no problem driving a bit further to get what I like. By 1st impressions, 5 stars. Then it went downhill. I went in for a pedicure (I can't remember the name of it, but next step up from the basic one) and a full set French. I had my feet done first. I don't go there to make new friends, so I appreciated that the lady doing my feet allowed me to relax while she did her thing....for 15 minutes!!! Wha!? Whoa! Slow down. Are you sure you're done because your foot rub left A LOT to be desired?? Nothing special AT ALL! I will go as far as to say that what she did to me is something I could've done at home myself, and enjoyed it 3 times as much. Free. In my jammies. A good self leg & foot massage. WHILE, I'm getting my feet done, another lady starts on my nails. I'll call her Cathy (short for Chatty Cathy). I thought she was prepping my nails for the acrylic. Nope. I was wrong. She was doing my nails while I was getting my feet done and was talking about her conspiracy ideas on why Seahawks lost Superbowl. To give you a better visual, she's STANDING next to me. After the lady finished playing with my feet and painting my toenails, I asked Cathy if we were moving to a seat so she could sit down to do my nails. Nope. She patted my hands like I was a child and said she could do a good job standing. I looked over at the seats....awww, now I get it. They were all full. In my mind I was thinking that I wouldn't mind waiting for a seat, but she said she could do a good job standing...mmm, okay. She finished...still talking about her Seahawks conspiracy that she wholeheartedly believes, and said I was done. Nothing spectacular about my nails. No awesome job. No real need to feel like because they're closer, I shouldn't drive further for the excellent job I'm use to. I didn't get the nail oil, I didn't get lotion. Nada. The service I received reflected in tip I left. 3 days later, the nails are lifting. Now I'm livid. Maybe it was a really bad day for the 2 women I had working on me, or my expectations are too high, or the people that gave better reviews have low expectations or they have the cream of the crop doing their nails. I was disappointed with this nail salon. My mom and I went for mani-pedis and were hopeful because of the great yelp reviews. But the service was disinterested, at best, and we both left with rough heels and messed up nail edges. We had fun, but everyone seemed in a rush and didn't express much care for us. Pedicure Central - I've never seen so many pedicure stations in one nail salon! They were able to fit us in as walk-ins at 6pm on a Friday with only a few minutes' wait. I got a nice french pedicure for $30 + tip. Seemed like a popular place and I'd definitely go back! read more

Went here twice to get my nails done, the first time I got a mani pedi, and I only got one foot really half ass scrubbed, the polish stayed in for a awhile but absolute waste of money for the whole thing when I can paint my toenails myself. My nails the first time, I got a really light pink and within two days they started to get spots of discoloration on them. Went back a week later and said something and they were like oh it's your make up, I hadn't worn makeup all week. They were EXTREMELY rude my second trip in and weren't able to do Pinterest nails like they said. I took a picture of their instagram and they weren't able to recreate it. They have a nice color selection but really rude employees who do extremely mediocre work. Will never return read more

Very reasonable prices and a friendly staff. These massage chairs are fantastic. The space is very clean and very roomy with gigantic windows - which was a nice atmosphere. The soft rock music channel on the TV was a tad annoying, but hey, it was also nice to learn some new facts about Taylor Hicks and Michael Bolton while getting my nails done. French manicure looks alright, but I'm started to get a bit of chipping and it's the end of day four since my mani / pedi. Definitely recommend for the pedi. They also have shellac available for manicures, but that seems to come for quite a pretty penny. read more

This is not your average nail salon. I went because of all the positive reviews and they are absolutely correct. I paid around $35 for a mani-pedi and I was very impressed. The manicure was extra nice and even included paraffin. I got their classic (basic) pedicure and it was very well done. I had gone to the regular old strip mall places in the past, but I won't after this. Worth the drive and the possible parking hassles (although I didn't have any). That was really sweet of her, I still don't think I'll go back but I really appreciate that kind gesture from them. 4/12/17 Bummed to have to cut their stars in half but more bummed by the experience my friend and I suffered today on our visit. My first visit was truly pleasurable and I thought I had finally found a nail spa that I loved but this visit would refute that. We decided to grab pedis and lunch on this beautiful sunny Monday and we chose this spot, my choice because hers was by appointment only. From my previous review I am so untrusting with my toes and pedicures and when the older lady starting shoving down my cuticles today I mentioned my toe sensitivities and I'm sure she didn't understand me because she simply giggled. And to my concern she cut my cuticles way too low and they were stinging by the time she got to simply buffing them. I even tried to pull my feet back and said that's enough when she went over them a second time with the cuticle clippers and said don't do that and she continued to! I chose the winter pedicure again because my feet are dry and could use extra pampering and it was so pleasant the first time but this time she repeatedly burned me with the stones because she kept them in one place too long for too many times !! THE WORST part was, after my paraffin dip when they have to put alcohol over your nails to get them a clean cAnvas for polish she was careless and got the alcohol soaked cotton ball over my whole toe, tearing against my cuticle cuts and stinging me at the same time. As if the pain couldn't get worse she straight POURED alcohol over my toes!!!! Jesus Christ. The torture was finally over and I got my French tip. It was even ENOUGH and not too fat or too thin so that was good but she totally RUSHED me and my friend out of the pedi chairs and neither of our toes were dry. I even told her! She felt mine and then gave me those flimsy flip flops to wear out. I was able to save my $40 French tip from being ruined but my friend couldn't do the same for her bubble gum spring time easter toes and half of her toes were F'd up. I feel totally bad for having to say this about La Bella, my mom LOVES and swears by this place but I feel more bad that I took my friend there for an awful experience for both of us. If you must go here please ask for MY or TI. I won't ever be back as I made the mistake of not requesting them for us but I know those ladies are great. read more

I'm new to the area and have been looking for "the" place to get my pedicures done. I was looking for a nice experience where I could relax, rest, and be a little bit pampered. Being as this is titled as a "nail spa," I made the false assumption that the relaxation factor would apply. Staff: The woman who answered the phone seemed less that interested in being helpful and was very short in her tone. I made an appointment and ended up late as she had no idea how to give directions to the salon. The salon is in a busy area close to Stadium High School which, I'm sure, provides ample foot traffic. There is a significant language barrier for much of the staff which can be difficult to overcome. Service Performed: The nail tech handed me a card for me to select my service. I wanted the winter pedicure with a hot stone massage and paraffin wax treatment. I pointed it out on the card to the tech who seemed to understand and then I sat back and prepared for my treatment. She ended up giving me the Signature Pedicure despite what I had requested. Normally, I would have corrected but neither the tech, nor any of her co-workers close by, spoke any English whatsoever. The service that she did perform, she did well. I am incredibly happy with the result, it just wasn't the service that I wanted. Atmosphere: There are two pedicure rooms; one in front and one in back. There are 7 chairs in the back room and about 5 in the front with a multi-station manicure area in between. The ceilings are high and the floors are hard which makes it incredibly noisy. There is no privacy at all. I was hoping to be able to rest and relax and that was difficult listening to all of the noise, door slamming, and music coming from the rest of the salon. When I was leaving, I noticed the front pedicure room was a complete mess with towels, products, chairs, and implements scattered all over. Sanitation: Pedicure chairs seemed clean and a small blue tablet is put in the water as the basin is filled. The stations look cluttered with lids half on all the jar and product drips around the edges. Implements were brought out in a basket with sharps in a small jar with blue liquid in it labeled "fungicide." No use of an autoclave seemed apparent. Files, nail blocks, and pumice are all reused on different clients. Overall impression: Not a spa. It wasn't much different from my experience in any other nail salon in any mall with the exception of the quality of the work. Truly, she did a very good job. The prices were reasonable for the services performed. Would I go back? It's possible, but I think I will probably find some place that is a bit more relaxing. read more

And always sloppy work, the owner(the wife0 doesn't know how to do powder fills with glitter tips...it was uneven and my fills were bumpy...she is always talking to someone else.
