It's a cute salon that also sells a small collection of clothes and accessories. They offer you something to drink every time you come in. I see plenty of men getting their hair cut here too. I make my appointments online and wait for approval by my stylist. I've always been happy with the service at this salon! However, my stylist is opening her own salon soon so I will sadly no longer be coming to Benji, but I would still recommend it because they have several different stylists!

I told him that I wanted to dye my hair but was averse to using chemicals since I was bf babies at the time, and he said he would be able to lighten my hair without chemicals since it was virgin hair, and successfully turned it from black to a light brown in one session! I've been getting it touched up every couple months from then on and it has held on wonderfully! I love his sunny disposition and never feel pressured to step out of my comfort zone. He's also great with getting my next appointment setup right then and there, otherwise I will say that he's extremely busy and it is harder to get back on schedule right away since he's booked far out. The first time I went, I did one streak of highlight called a flash highlight (over 200$) to test the waters and it turned out great, so I came back expecting the same quality. This time was completely different. Paige double-booked another client and had her assistant handle most of my appointment. The assistant was extremely rough while washing my hair even after I repeatedly asked her to be gentle. She seemed annoyed that I said something and actually handed me the brush and said "do you want to brush it?" I shouldn't have to explain the same thing twice to her assistant when I already paid for a consultation to make sure this wouldn't happen. Paige barely checked in, didn't review my foils before they were rinsed, and my hair came out yellow and orange instead of the cool blonde I asked for. I didn't even get to choose the toner or discuss the results before being told by the assistant to pay. I also asked for thicker highlights and ended up with baby lights that looked uneven in tone. I walked out in tears and paid $265 for results that look like I used a bottle of Sun-In at home. I'm beyond frustrated and will not be going back. Letting an inexperienced assistant take over while charging full price is completely unacceptable.
