I had filtered tap water for my drink and my wife had a can of Diet Coke with a slice of lemon and ice in a cup, provided. The quiche was custardy inside with a delicious hint of caramelized shallots to go with the bacon and cheese/egg filling. The bacon did not overwhelm. The crust was perfectly baked and a nice flakey crust. I really liked the balance of each component in this sandwich, such that nothing dominated the flavors and each distinctive was individually identifiable in the contribution to the whole sandwich. The portion was just right. The chicken salad was also good, but was the bronze medal winner compared to the other two. The croissant was flaky, but not too much. We liked this so much, we chose to buy two loaves of bread to go, a Chattanooga Sourdough and a garlic Parmesan and also a 5 lb bag of in house ground bread flour. I told her we would not patronize the shop and my mom and I left. The tone and look on her face was not welcoming and had no kindness to it.
