If you're reading this, then there's a chance that you're hesitant about parasailing. Cocoa Beach Parasail is top-notch, and put all my fears to rest. As someone who is afraid of heights, I found parasailing to be a really great time and not at all stressful. These guys are pros, and they go out of their way to make sure every element of the experience puts safety at the forefront. Be sure to bring some cash to tip the drivers (most brought $10-$20) and go for the photo package. I never thought I'd enjoy something like this, but I can't wait to come back! read more

The entire experience was outstanding. Our kids went on the 500 ft trip and wished they had done 1000 ft. Captain Angus and First Mate Gabe are very safe and caring and at the same time are entertaining. The lady who sold tickets let Mom and Dad ride on the boat too. After spending $600 on Universal, this is quite the value for the money. It is definitely a must do when in Florida...drive here to do it!! read more

Our first time parasailing, and these guys made it great fun! We went in November, so it was a little cool and there was strong wind, but they still took us out for our trip. We had to call a day or 2 in advance to set up an appointment. My husband and I were grouped with 2 older couples and a family of 3. We were the youngest, most excited and comprehended the rules the best, so they sent us up in the parasail first. We opted for the 800 foot flight at $70/person. Definitely pay the extra $5 for the higher flight. The view of the ocean and coast is spectacular. It's such a surreal experience because the climate and wind patterns change on your way up to your soaring altitude. When you're at 800 feet, you can't even feel the boat move, but you can see it bobbing and chugging forward below you. It's almost eerily still and quiet -- the boat is playing music, but you can't hear it. Obviously this is the point, but it feels like you are flying solitary since you hear no motors and you're not held in by anything but a couple of straps. If you look out on the Atlantic Ocean, you can see the curvature of the earth as the horizon continues for miles in either direction. This was the perfect mix of adrenaline and fun. The scariest part for me was actually when they dipped my legs at the end, because I just KNEW that they'd dip me too deep and I'd end up in the water with a parachute wrapped around me. Once we got back down on the boat, I did get seasick as the ocean was choppy on our day out. I'm a tough cookie though, and that didn't spoil my fun. The guys on the boat provided me with a cool towel and a bottle of water to help with my seasickness. We also paid $20 for the pictures of us parasailing. They actually gave us an SD memory card, which was nice because I didn't have to wait around for someone to burn a CD or log in to a website. However, if you don't have an SD card reader, this might be a problem. Our pictures turned out pretty great, and I've posted a few here. I was a brave soul that took my digital camera up in the parasail with me and was able to capture neat pictures from 800 feet. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because of price. For our rides ($70x2) plus pictures ($20) plus tip (I think we gave at least $10) we're at $170 for 15 minutes of actual airtime and about an hour in the boat. But still, the experience is worth it. read more

Awesome time~ 800 feet in the air... Get the photo package--you do not want to miss the pics of you in the air! They can sit 2-3 per a flight. It was an hour excursion for us, 5 parties all together. I got to kiss my bf in the air and get the pic taken so that was amazing...the two crew were pretty chill. I didn't see animals up above..but the sun was shining..and when i was in the boat i saw dolphins and a floating dead fish, lol. Amazing time, for two of us plus photo package only 170$. They give us the photos on a sd card which was cool. read more

Really enjoyed our excursion and definitely recommend the experience. Received this trip as a gift certificate and had to reschedule a couple of times due to poor weather but thankfully gift certificates don't expire. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable and the equipment was very clean and in great shape. We chose to have our feet dipped in the ocean but you don't have to do that when getting pulled back in. The view from 800' is amazing and we were amazed at how still and quiet the air was at that level. We had the 10:30 time slot which was perfect as it wasn't uncomfortable in the bright sun. read more

I almost didn't go to this place because of the low ratings. I had a great experience. I paid online for the 850ft. When I arrived all i had to do is sign a waiver and wait until the boat arrived with the first tour. They suggested the photo package, 25 photos for $25. The guy that took the pictures took way more then 25 shots at no added cost. The staff was friendly and made the experience great. I would recommend this place. read more

The only issue I have is that I bought a nice camera for this and the driver of the boat does not like it if you take your own pictures. Every time we tried to take a picture of our family in the air he would swerve the boat. They want you to buy the sd card from them. read more

We had been to this place but did not find anyone to greet us. Called the phone line couple of times and found out in the end that they were booked all day. When asked if they knew any other parasailing in the areas they said they are the only authorized parasailing in the area. read more

This was to be my third trip with Cocoa Beach Parasail. My advice? Be careful if you schedule during their slow season. I called on Thursday for reservations on Friday. Arrived a half hour before departure time as requested. Signed the papers, paid the fee. Then I'm told there are walk ups we have to wait for. Well, apparently the walk ups are the important people. They arrived after 11:00 (the scheduled departure time). Took their good old time signing in and then decided all six of them needed a restroom. Now I have been waiting 45 minutes with no end in sight and no explanations or apologies. So that tells me that I really don't need reservations. I can just call and tell them I'm coming and they should hold the boat for my convenience. Scheduled clients be damned! Well Pam thanks for your explanation. However, it would have been better received if it had been given at the time. Instead we were left to wonder who the important people were. As in any situation if something occurs that causes a lengthy delay, an explanation at the time goes a long way. And as far as them being signed in a few minutes past eleven, we waited until 11:15. In my opinion that's a little more than a few. And it was at that time everybody needed a rest room. We didn't see the boat on the water until 12:10. Again, not a few. And we didn't see it again all afternoon. So while I understand from a business perspective it isn't logical to run an empty boat, my daughter and I could have been taken out as soon as the boat returned from an earlier excursions and been back by the time the next people were ready to fly. I may be back to parasail but it's going to have to be when I'm done feeling like my time doesn't matter. read more

My family and I parasailed this month with Cocoa Beach Parasail and absolutely loved it! Even the ones that were scared. The crew was very professional and super fun. Made us feel comfortable the entire time. It was really windy during our visit and we had to be reschedule a few times but they did an excellent job in communicating with us about weather and time options. To be out on the water was a dream come true! We had a camera but are glad we got the photo package. These guys took way better photos than we did. Not real happy with this operation. We had originally signed up for a sail on Sunday the 14th of July. We showed up at the shop, approximately a half hour before our scheduled time. The boat captain called in at our scheduled time and said they would not be going back out because of windy conditions, which we understood is the nature of this business. We rescheduled for 12:30 on the day we got back from our cruise on Friday the 19th of July. We arrived at the shop a half hour early to check in and were told the group was running late. We left approximately 45 minutes later than our scheduled time. We had asked if my wife and son could come along to take pictures and were told the boat was at capacity. We would have been happy to have paid for the seats. However, when we got to the boat, there were only six other young girls beside my daughter and myself, lots of empty seating was available. There was some unsettled weather off to the east, on the horizon, and the captain stated if conditioned changed while on the water we would have to come back in. No issues in this regard. The captain put up two groups of three girls before us. Both my daughter and I noticed a blue tape ribbon on the rope at approximately 200 - 250 feet, out max. Both of the girls groups were let out to the blue ribbon plus about half that length beyond. I assumed the other groups were paying for the shorter distance out of the boat to 500 feet. The distance the two girls groups were let out to appeared to be only about 350 to 400 feet. My daughter and I were last. We never even came close to the blue ribbon length on the rope. I've parasailed 4 times previously at 800 feet and up and I knew we weren't even close to the length. At the beginning of the trip I overheard the captain tell his deck hand to change out the larger chute for a smaller one. I'm by no means an expert on parasailing but I have a real good eye for distances, lots of shooting and track and field in my background. I would rather the captain had told us conditions weren't appropriate for the height of the chute and gave us the option to cancel our booking. Instead we paid full price for a subpar ride. To be honest, I was rather pissed, and had intended to address this with the captain after the two groups of girls and my daughter had gotten off the boat first. However, the captain had my daughter and I get off the boat first, even though the other groups of girls were in front of us. Not wanting to be seen as an A.H. in front of the kids, for arguing over the trip, I just bit my tongue. When I got to the top of the docks where the other parent's were waiting for their kids, I asked them if they had paid for the 500' sail and they told me the had paid for all six girls to the 800' mark. As I stated before, we never even came close to the blue ribbon on the line, which the other two groups did. Had the captain been up front regarding the conditions, I wouldn't have had any issues. I gave this group a whopping two stars only because my daughter still enjoyed her first parasail adventure. However, I wouldn't recommend this operation to any of my friends or family. read more
