They have the goods, by means of the caffeine jolt you need after your company has an all out three day bash at the hotels convention center. OMG. So, let's put it this way, seeing that the "bagels" were really pre-sliced and in long plastic bags in the back, I opted for a croissant. They looked... croissanty enough. I asked if they could put ham and cheese in there. No. No, we cannot possibly. But if you'd like, there's a croissant with egg, cheese and sausage. I of course said yes and lived to rue the day. I'm kind of glad I didn't take a picture of the light yellow spongy disc that was the egg. Though I'd like to share the horror, I'm happier that someday perhaps I can forget it. Somehow, the croissant I saw had been swapped for a PERFECTLY CIRCULAR "croissant". Considering the word croissant comes from crescent... nevermind. The "sausage" (which only vaguely tasted like any sort of pork I'm familiar with) was predictably circular as well and the non-descript white cheese as well, also circular. It was $9 for an affront to the palate, the eyes, hell, all the senses were affronted. There is not one thing I could point to as even remotely worth the asking price, nor even, appetizing. It's a great place if you have no sense of taste, have been starved, and perhaps have some kind of non-refundable gift card for. I expect this kind of food in Silent Hill, or in Raccoon city, or indeed any other city in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. Inside the lodge next to fire & grain restaurant. Plenty of seating in the cafe or out in the lobby area of the lodge. Coffee was ok nothing special. I ordered a London fog which was on the seasonal menu. The price showed up incorrectly and when i mentioned in to the cashier she was rude about it. Once I told her the price was listed behind her then she corrected it. It was an awkward interaction. Probably wont be back. Better service and coffee elsewhere. read more

I was here for a conference and they were THE spot for breakfast with an array of choices of food and coffee. Not to mention, super quick and efficient with service. Delicious bagels but whatever that thing is that they call an "Egg" is absolutely gross. Perfectly round and rubbery, with a slight snapping sound as you bite into it. I'd suggest just sticking to the coffee here. I was staying at the lodge and had two breakfasts here because we were on kind of a tight schedule both days. The regular coffee is fine; self-serve, nothing fancy, and decent choices of medium and dark roasts. The first day I had an egg, cheese and ham sandwich on an English muffin and a fruit cup. The egg was a spongy slice and the English muffin wasn't toasted. The fruit cup was mostly melon which was rock hard and not ripe. The second day I had a yogurt cup which was decent but seemed to feature crumbled cookies instead of granola. My plan if I stay at the lodge again will be to bring some granola bars and fruit from home or elsewhere and just get the coffee. read more

We had breakfast here a few times during our stay at the Hershey Lodge. We loved sitting on the couches by the fireplace drinking our lattes and eating our breakfast! As for their lattes, we really liked the pumpkin pie latte!! As for breakfast items, you'll find cereal, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, parfaits, breakfast sandwiches, pound cakes, bagels, etc. The pastries were all quite delicious. As for the breakfast sandwiches, you'll find the usual bacon, egg, and cheese, or ham and cheese, etc. type sandwiches with your choice of a bagel or English muffin, or gluten-free bread. My wife and I had different opinions on the breakfast sandwiches. She really enjoyed her and she had hers on gluten-free bread. I had mine on the bagel and thought it was just OK. Bacon was nice and crispy but the egg was the issue for me. It's like they have a loaf of egg and they slice off a piece to put on your sandwich. Just didn't care for the taste of it. Also, if you want something like a bagel with cream cheese and you want your bagel toasted, your on your own for that. They do have toasters that you can use. All in all it was't a bad place. It's good if you want something quick and I would definetly go back just for the latte's! read more

This is a lovely coffee shop and cafe right in the Hershey Lodge. They don't have a huge menu when it comes to food food, but they have a decent selection of beverages and baked goods for breakfast or a snack. You can also grab a beer now! I was here for a dance competition and was grateful for the opportunity to be able to grab a fresh brewed iced coffee. The iced coffee was $3 which I thought was fair. But then I decided to grab a bottle of water and that was $3 too. I get that this is a tourist place but come on, do you need to charge theme park prices on a dinky bottle of water? Especially when my carefully brewed coffee which was delicious was the same price? That just kind of made me sour. We later went down for a croissant. That was $3 too. Maybe its the magic number. The Coco Beanery is located inside of the Hershey Lodge. We stopped in on Sunday morning for a much needed cup of caffeine before hitting the town. It's located on the first floor near the front lobby and is connected to the gift shop. My plan was to get coffee but once I saw that they offered Italian Soda's, I blew off my coffee craving and opted for a Chocolate Italian Soda - when in Rome! It was perfect and not sugary sweet. My friends ended up with a Chocolate Chai and a Frozen Hot Chocolate. The woman behind the counter had heard me and one of my friends talking about wanting to try the frozen hot chocolate, so when she had to make one she made enough to offer Illysa and me a sample of it. Delicious. As mentioned in other reviews, the service here is a bit slow. I noticed the woman making the first two drinks going back and forth between the front counter and the kitchen holding our cups, a few different times, but I think she was new. I wish they were open for nighttime hours as those coffee cravings can hit after 2pm... but I can imagine that not everyone enjoys a caffeine at night as I do. Went here a few times during our stay at Hershey Lodge this past weekend. Each time our coffee/drinks were made right & the staff was efficient & polite, if not overly friendly. Their chocolate croissants were "to die for" & they even made decaf iced latte & iced chai that were not on the menu. In addition to coffee, milkshakes, & other breakfast drinks, they have a couple of morning sandwiches (egg/ham, egg/sausage) & pastries, & are definitely cheaper than eating in one of the restaurants. They also have plenty of tables & chairs, so you can eat/drink at a leisurely pace. Enjoy! read more

We ordered 4 milkshakes which is a lot I give them that. We were in there for 1 hour and thirty minutes because they "forgot to make out drinks" then proceeded to serve the next customer in line until they had 6 people behind the counter. When we got our drinks finally before they closed they screwed up our order..... Those milkshakes were 8.50 I expected more. We also had someone who was dairy free and we asked for no whip cream she got a smoothie but they put it on and she couldn't change it cuz they closed.... we figured we would give it another chance and went down for two simple scoops of ice cream. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Went to Cocoa Beanery at Hershey Lodge to get breakfast this morning. When I paid for my order, the girl asked me outright to put a tip on my credit card. This was counter service - what was I supposed to be tipping for? I asked for a latte with a Splenda - they said I had to go get a Spelnda and bring it to them because they don't keep any behind the counter. I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich. When they brought it to the counter it was wrapped in foil and literally too hot to carry. I burned my fingertips trying to pick it up. I asked for a plate to put it on. They couldn't find one. I asked for napkins to wrap it in. The girl was literally standing next to a stack of napkins but told me to go to the condiment table across the restaurant to get one. When I opened the foil, the croissant was burned black. I took it back to the counter and asked them to remake it. They offered no apology, just threw a new one on the counter and walked away. Really?! I am a paying customer, they're not doing me some kind of favor. For the outrageous prices they charge, I would expect them to offer a decent level of customer service, but these girls were downright ignorant and rude. Cocoa Beanery has coffee, pastries/muffins, and egg sandwiches. Eggs are not cooked to order, but sliced from a strange quivery loaf of prescrambled egg. Not appealing. Lots of seating and no wait, which gives it the edge over Lebbie Lebkicher's, the other restaurant in the Lodge lobby. we waited 20 minutes for a hot chocolate, just a simple hot chocolate, and when we finally got one, it was basically water. we had to pay $3.50 for watered down got chocolate that was half filled that i could've made in my kitchen. when we asked for my money back, they told us that they couldn't refund our money because they didn't have the receipt on record after the barista threw it away. i'll give him the credit though that his mustache was awesome! they just need to work on their costumer service and work force, but it was a cute restaurant and i liked the seating area. read more
