I enjoyed the pulled pork grilled cheese: the chocolate barbecue sauce reminded me of a lighter molasses-based sauce so it worked with the barbecue. We had the Ferris Wheel appetizer which was mostly a win, but the items could have shown up on a TGI Friday's menu. The next day, to escape the millions of middle schoolers in the park (I have a whole travelogue brewing for that) we came back because I wanted one of their gigantic milkshakes. The Reese's peanut butter shake was peanut butter to the Nth degree, and it was topped by an entire slice of peanut butter pie. My friend got a stomachache but I love anything peanut butter so this was a win for me. Both times the service was really good. Our servers were friendly and attentive so we never felt we were being ignored or passed over. A+ in the service department.

One thing we discovered on the appetizer menu is the half-moon mozzarella. They're listed as part of the larger "Ferris Wheel" appetizer, but we asked if we could order them separately and were told yes. You get four for $15, and they were actually quite good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was more average. I ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes. The meat was tender, but it was also somewhat fatty and didn't have much flavor. My wife and son both ordered burgers, which were OK but nothing particularly memorable. They do offer gluten-free buns, which was a nice bonus and definitely appreciated. Since we were attending a concert, the location was extremely convenient and made grabbing dinner beforehand an easy choice. However, convenience comes at a price here. You're paying a pretty penny for food that, at least during our visit, was just average. Overall, the service was excellent, the mozzarella was good, and the convenience can't be beat if you're attending an event. But at these prices, I was hoping the food would be more of a standout.

The slaw was nice and balanced; there actually was a ton of pickled red onion, which I think totally could have been a little less; the pico was fresh; and the chipotle aioli had a good flavor and was like a mild-medium spice level. Similar to an attraction at Disney World, visitors sit in omnimover-style cars that move continuously along a track through the simulated factory journey. Our sons loved seeing the anthropomorphic chocolate characters who teach visitors about the chocolate-making process. He's been on Chocolate Ave. for about two years. His fudge flavors are incredible. There's Almond Joy, Reese's, Mr. Hershey's Chocolate, etc. To top it off (literally), he puts actual candies in them! The price is $14/lb. He offered to let me sample some flavors, but I declined, since I knew what I wanted. I went with the Almond Joy and Mr. Hershey's. Both were fresh, and it was evident that they were made with quality ingredients. I enjoyed the unique Almond Joy flavor, and the Mr. Hershey's was so soft that it melted in my mouth like buttercream. I practically ate the entire pound in one sitting (immediately after leaving the shop), and I have no shame. It was certainly worth the 40 minute drive! Thanks, Eric!
