    Pub Burger

This is a fairly large restaurant right on Main Street. There's ample garage parking in the back for the shops along the road. I had made a reservation, which made it easy for us to come in and grab a seat. We came in at 7:30pm and it was busy but not crowded. Overall, I would say that the food is decently good for the most part, however the kitchen and service was a bit wild. If I remember correctly from the previous year that I was here, the service was really slow, but last year it was crowed and packed. So I had thought it would've been because how busy the restaurant was....however, coming back again, I would say that they're just slow. Period. Other than our orders, things just kept getting messed up again and again. One thing that's confusing is that the on-line allegory menu is NOT consistent with what they tell you IN PERSON for the allergy alerts. All that to say, things that didn't have egg or dairy allergy (for my child) on-line had allergies when asked in person....confusing. But we had ordered food based off of the on-line menu for it to come back and say it had an allergy...so we changed our order. The apps and the kids food came out first, but the first order still came out and then we sent it back. Then the new order came "rushed" (but 15 min later) incorrectly AGAIN, and "rushed" for us to finally get our order for our kid only for it to come out incorrectly AGAIN. So it only took FOUR times and the communication wasn't there. Super frustrating at 8:30pm waiting for my kid to eat. WILD times (also nothing was done to mitigate this chaos). We had also asked for our broccoli to NOT be soggy but..,you guess it, it arrived soggy and we've been through so many back and fourth we didn't bring it up As for our food when we finally got it 45 - 50 min later.... Our main course adult meals were the pub burger with fries and Baja fish tacos with salad. The burger was pretty good, not dry but juicy and flavorful. The pretzel bun was decent, slightly better than Costcos, and the combo of the flavors were pretty good! Overall, solid burger with good flavors 4/5! Their fries in general are pretty lame, not crunchy and little flaccid and soft, not seasoned well either. Just meh, 2.5/5 The fish tacos were actually good, the fish was battered well with a great crisp and decent amount of fish inside and the sauce and toppings made it great. I probably could've gotten an extra one added to it as they were a little smaller in portion. Overall 4/5! The side salad was a little lame. Normal salad, 3/5. We got two appetizers the Philly cheesesteak rolls and pretzel sticks. Both were good! The cheesesteak rolls had a good crunch to it and decent amount of meat inside, I'd pair with the white sauce more than the red sauce but both kind of worked. 4/5! The pretzel sticks were good! The cheese and the mustard (a bit on the stronger mustard side) paired well with them. Pretzels were soft and had good amount of salt on them. 3.5/5 Overall, the food is good and have some good options, but with the service and how SLOW and how much of a headache the back and fourth is the orders were, I'm honestly not sure if it's worth the hassle for the food. And there was no FOH or anyone apologizing or comping anything. Kind of disappointing tbh.

I've been here so many times. It's really nice & the beer isn't bad. I've tried several & they go down too easy. The food was good the staff helped pair the beer with good. It's a nice please to visit when you go to Hershey.

HERSHEY, Pa. - Clean, plenty of seating, food was *fine*, a couple of the beers were decent. Missus and I met up with friends - a family of four - on a Sunday during the lunch hour. Copious seating available. Would I return? Sure, if in the area, though I might be a bit more inclined to hit Tröegs or Snitz Creek. Would I order the ($16) Voodoo. Chicken pizza again? Tasty, but thru could've covered a little more of the crust with sauce and/or topping. Overall, perfectly fine 3.9-Star experience.

Philly egg roll, you get 2 whole egg rolls, I had already eaten a half. They're ok, premade.

Hmmmm, well the reviews and pics is what first caught my attention. I thought this is a local spot. Later learned it's a small chain. Walked in, 4pm ish, not busy. 3 hostesses, got seated quickly, no issues. Waitress came, got the drinks. We asked about the kids Mac and cheese how is it prepared...Kraft box...lol. Got kids pizza, not bad. Plain side salad, no issues. Kids chicken tenders, prepackaged to include the fries, sigh. Kids side salad, no issues. Got the cheesesteak egg rolls, blah. Prepackaged. Got the Pub burger, had bacon etc. Cooked as requested, thick, juicy and tasty. Pretty damn good burger, like Jules reaction to the Big Kahuna Burger from Pulp Fiction. Got the upgraded truffle fries. No upgrade, no truffle, blah. Asked the server to make sure we didn't miss something how is the truffle fries prepared..."...uh with like cheese...and some parsley..." so yes, we asked for a redo. Second attempt this time you could smell the truffle oil and seasoning...but the fries were not cooked. Wife liked the Ruby beer. Our server, not attentive. Had to ask each time and repeatedly for drink refresh. We had contemplated the $17 nachos and adding the $3 chicken. But almost no place does nachos well...and glad we didn't as the table next to us got it and it looked sad, plus they didn't eat much of it most likely bc it wasn't appetizing. As we left same 3 hostesses at the front, no one said bye, thanks for coming, have a nice day, etc. Too busy chatting amongst themselves. You want a burger, good meal. Good beer. Not sure about the rest of the menu. Would I go back, no.

We went in for Happy Hour recently and it also happened to be Opening Day for Major League Baseball. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The beers were excellent and the various Happy Hour foods that we tried were all delicious and a good value. The location is convenient, and it's spacious and bright inside. Definitely recommend.

First time here and surprisingly it's not busy for a Saturday Evening Dinner time. Nice comfortable seating heavy wooden tables and chairs a great window view of Chocolate Ave. A Large menu with unique choices the wife ordered a cup of their mushroom soup came out hot and delicious! Strawberry & Goat Cheese Salad baby spinach, red onion, toasted almonds, poppy seed vinaigrette Country Schnitzel . Pan-fried pork cutlets, andouille, bacon and onion gravy, buttery mashed potatoes, garlicky greens Multiple selections of Beers made in house I opted for their Light Lager. They also have a full bar so if you're looking for that mixed adult beverage. Lucas our server did a great job and had a good sense of the menu.

This location is right behind Hershey Park. It was a gorgeous and sunny October evening. This place features a bar that winds around to the outside. The doors were all open and the patio was slammed. It's a large space. The beer was great and the food looked fantastic. I only stopped in for one because I had to drive but I plan to stay in Hershey next month so I won't have as far to go, so I'll be coming back and checking out more of their selection.

Very nice place to visit. It's located in a nice part of town . Very clean and girls were very friendly . We came on a Labor Day weekend and had brunch . 2 coffees Philly egg and cheese rolls and red velvet pancakes- $40.76. unfortunately because we were there at 10am we didnot try any beer , but as far as food - it was delicious. Would not bring family with baby's here , but teenagers feet right in . Definitely worth a visit.

The pizza is the best thing here, and a good way to start one's meal; whether as a shared or personal appetizer. All other items, however, suffered in both execution as well as seasoning & flavor. Courteous and friendly service is to be commended.

    Brittany C.

Service was okay. Cocktails were better than food. Ordered the Brewski burger, food came out wrong and one of the main ingredients of the burger was missing. It was fixed but still not what was expected. Observed multiple orders being sent back to the kitchen. Happy it was a vacation stop

Went on a Tuesday night, place was packed. Got a table and ordered the Brussels sprouts and the fish and chips. The sprouts were really good, crispy, not too salty so you really could enjoy their flavor. The fish and chips were a big portion, fish was lightly fried and not too oily. There were a bunch of families inside, lots of noise, some music and sports on the TV. The lively environment really helped the experience.

    Crab Cake Sandwich

I very rarely give a one star review and when I do, I take extra time to contemplate the reasons. This one star didn't take too long to justify in my mind. We walked into Iron Hill Brewery and were immediately seated - it was 1:30 on a Monday day though. We were almost immediately greeted, we ordered water and then took some time to peruse the menu. I decided on the Strawberry Lemon Drop as my drink and like my SIL, the crab cake sandwich. The drink was delicious - the sugared rim and fresh strawberry garnish were perfect. The crab cake sandwich was, I'll let you pick the adjective, awful/horrible/terrible/poisonous. It wasn't anything even remotely close to being a crab cake. It was a cold pile of mush sitting on a bun. It may have touched a pan for a minute or two but it was raw. I can't believe they served it like that. We each looked at it and decided that it wasn't worth getting sick from. We called over our server who wasn't sure what it was supposed to look like but she talked to the manager and we were able to reorder. Our replacements weren't very good but at least they were cooked. We didn't even bother bringing home our leftovers. The absolute clincher was when the manager came over to tell us that he wasn't going to charge us for the crab cake sandwiches. We both looked at him with what had to be a "what the heck did you just say?" Didn't that go without question? Would he have preferred getting a phone call that patrons had food poisoning? I don't think I am exaggerating when I say this. It. Was. Raw. My parents just moved to Hershey so I anticipate we'll be in town often. I will not return to Iron Hill and if someone asks, I will try to direct them elsewhere.

The menu immediately caught my eye with its local flair, and it did not disappoint. They happened to be hosting trivia night, which was such a fun surprise and gave the place great energy. There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

Second, I've known that all their beers are top notch, which is why I wanted to come here. I'm not an IPA guy, but the black IPA is some top notch stuff that anyone can appreciate. Not super hoppy, really well balanced. Blonde stout is another superb creation, Lancaster gets some depth into it that many other breweries can't manage. Third, if you want food, they learned from the Food Network and limited their menu to just a few choices, all excellently prepared. I ordered the Angry Mac with gator meat. It had excellent flavor, they made it spicier like I asked, and unlike most places they provided plenty of meat. Great quantity and great taste that I wasn't expecting. I tasted my friend's polenta and it was perfectly balanced with some cheese, not too salty. I could eat that for days. Finally, Eva, our waitress? Wonderful. The building is a former printing plant which has a spacious tap rooms/dining on the first floor and the Abbey Bar (with occasional live music) upstairs. I'm a big fan of ABC for many reasons, not the least of which is their variety of approachable and tasty beer styles for nearly any taste. ABC manages to stay creative with a mix of standard selections with a rotating cast of seasonals--but nothing too exotic. The food has been good in my experience and I confess a particular liking for the pierogies--pretty darn good for this part of PA. Service at this location has been uniformly excellent during all my visits. A couple of mild quirks about the Cameron Street location: first, parking is a bit odd. There's a small lot near the entrance but most parking is near the back of the building. Second, the brewery is on a slightly industrial stretch of Cameron Street. Translation: the neighborhood looks worse than it actually is! ABC runs an excellent small chain of brew pubs (I've visited most of them) but I think the original has a je ne sais quoi that makes it special.
