Feeding is open and you can sit anywhere where a table light is not turned on. Please sit in a cozy corner booth and order cocktails. I was so tempted to try this cocktail that was priced at $75, it is listed as a luxury pour but it sounded so good. I will have to treat myself one day and order it to see if it's worth the cost. LOL I guess since I'm posting a review, I can't gate-keep this one, but it's worth sharing. Lol

One time I made a joke along the lines of "you can ask me anything on there, I memorized it all." And she threatened to confiscate my ID and give it to the police. Not because she suspected it was fake, but because she was offended or something? Another time I asked to step outside to smoke and she said if I did I'd have to get back in line (I only asked because she, for some reason, keeps the door of the bar locked from the inside). She also dresses in a militarized costume, as if she it gives her more authority or something. How annoying she makes the experience of going to mash is well known amongst everyone I know who goes. This woman epitomizes abuse of power -- so thank god she has close to none.

Mash fit the bill (pun intended hah) and did the job just fine. The drink menu is pretty expansive, both as far as liquor selection and cocktails as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a few standard mocktails that they're known for! I tried the raspberry mock mule, and I'm happy to report that it's a hit. Great flavor and super refreshing, plus it offers a fun drink even if you're not drinking. The bartender was super nice and helped break down all the options as well. The crowd at mash is more collegiate than I was expecting -- I thought a whiskey inspired bar would driver an older crowd, but the bar was packed with early 20-somethings on a Saturday night. If you show up past 9pm on the weekend, there's a good chance you won't find a seat and will have to wait 20 minutes to get through the line at the bar, but Mash serves as a great place to meet up with the crew. As we were leaving around 11, we spotted a huge line out the door trying to get in too; it seems like the collegiate clientele have really designated Mqsh as the place to be on a weekend night! Overall, I'd recommend Mash -- I'm looking forward to going back and trying out more of their menu!

What I do love about Ann Arbor is that they balance out the drunk haunts of young adults with great restaurants and high end bars for the people looking for more than a pitcher of cheap beer. Rabbit Hole is one of those spots. Down the same little alley way as Circ Bar, this underground bar is tucked away, stone hallways and open up and lead to different openings that provide seating, a dance floor and an amazingly stocked bar. If you like bourbon you will love this spot. Our bartender was fantastic, absolutely worked with me on working out a drink. I know I took a pic of an espresso martini, but my drink was made perfect also. Another nice surprise was that it wasn't some crazy price on the drink (I mean any crazier than other places and quite cheaper than around my home), especially for Ann Arbor. Walking away from the bar is a dance floor, and surrounding it are booths in a separate rooms and tables on a level up from the dance floor. There are also two hallways that lead to more booths and tables in different areas of the bar. As you can imagine this is a huge place. We came on a Friday and it wasn't very busy, but school is out and the weather had just broke so not surprising. I really enjoyed my time and the company I was with, and I would definitely go back.

Definitely a bit confusing to figure out where to go. I wish I had been given some direction. There is seating against the wall throughout the winding halls. There is a dance floor and a couple bars. I loved the look which would definitely bring me back if I had also loved the Cocktails. The drink I ordered was way too sweet. I was underwhelmed. Most of their drinks looked on the sweeter side even the bartender mentioned. For my second I just ordered a glass of bubbly. It was also on the sweeter side but an improvement. For the prices, I really don't want to have to get up, find my way back to the bar to order my drink, then walk back to my seat avoiding the people and trying not to spill.

I ordered some simple cauliflower bites, chicken tenders. Just some snacks to hold me over for the drive home. Place has a typical dive look to it but it seems they have live music, maybe even karaoke on certain days. Venturing around the place, it really has that cozy look to it. Seems like a place for locals and people have their "bar" they go to. They have a party room as well it looks like it can be rented for private parties. Overall a cute little place. Has that nostalgic feel to it and maybe I'll stop back again on my way back in the future. Three stars only because the food is the typical bar food. Tasty but nothing special.
