My first visit was on Saturday 1/12 and it was so pleasant. I went in to order food to-go and the girls working were so nice. I placed a pretty large order of chicken chow mein, soy sauce chow mein, braised pork belly, shrimp with walnuts and orange chicken. It was by far my favorite orange chicken and the braised pork was so tender and flavorful. I found my new favorite Chinese spot. One of the girls even gave us barley and lime drinks on the house while we waited. Overall such nice people and really tasty food! read more

Great Hainan chicken n other dishes. Great herbal teas! mind u... they use free ranch chicken, better kind but a little tougher meat, but this is the best kind, its lean too. Hainan rice is so tasty too! The 2 sauces that come together with the Hainan chicken are just perfect. Fried tofu, chowfun, filet mignon cubes, n filet mignon cubes with red rice are great too. I came here on a Thursday for lunch - no wait. They have a great lunch special 6.95 for a long list of different dishes. I ordered the Hainan Chicken - came out right away. We order 3 dishes, really authentic flavor, all the dishes are real Chinese, not just soy sauce and oyster flavor, even the rice is awesome, I believe they cook it with chicken broth. Fast service and good size portions, if I lived around here would come often and try many dishes more. This use to be a good place. Went in for dinner just me and the girlfriend and we were the only ones there. We sat down and waited about 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. Ok oh well no big deal. We order the wonton app. and they were terrible, pure frozen junk. The waitress asks what we want to order for the meal and we say couple more minutes please. We sat there for another 30 minutes and she never came back out. One of the cooks came out went outside, smoked a cigarette, looked at us (we saw us when we first walked in too) and yelled something to the back. We thought now she would come to take our order, well 10 minutes later and still no one comes out to take our order. Left $5 on the table for the wontons and walked out. This is such a hidden gem! The food came out super fast, the service was great and attentive, and every dish we ordered tasted great. We got the dark meat boneless Hainan chicken, which was moist and flavorful. We also ordered the Yang Chow fried rice which had a pleasant flavor and wasn't too oily. The filet mignon with rice was so good, and the cauliflower with Taiwanese sausage was amazing. The portions here are much bigger in my opinion than what they were before when this place was "China Star" and I like the food better now.
