Thank you guys so much for helping us through such a hard time and explaining the situation to us over and over because we just couldn't grasp the idea of losing our baby. The flowers you sent were so thoughtful after. Nothing will ever prepare you for losing your baby but thank you for being so professional and so kind to us. -Moreé's Mom

As a family, we had to make the devastating decision to put our beloved dog to sleep, and we entrusted this facility with her final moments. In that moment of grief, we made one single, simple, deeply personal request: that the blanket our dog was wrapped in be returned to us. This blanket was not just a piece of fabric--it was the last tangible connection we would have to our family member, a source of comfort in our mourning. They failed us in the worst possible way. Despite our clear and heartfelt request, the blanket was not returned. When we asked where it was, all we received in return was a cold, dismissive response: "There's nothing we can do." And an empty "I'm sorry." That is not an appropriate or acceptable response for a family shattered by grief. This isn't about a mistake over paperwork or a rescheduling issue--this is about compassion, respect, and basic human decency being completely absent when we needed it most. I want anyone considering this facility to imagine being in our shoes. Imagine losing your pet--your family member--and trusting a hospital with her final care, only to be told that the one thing you asked for, the one small comfort you clung to, was carelessly discarded. Imagine if this were your mother, your child, or anyone you loved being handled with such indifference. The trauma this has caused our family is immeasurable. Their staff's response was unacceptable and devoid of true empathy. "There's nothing we can do" is not a policy--it's a failure of compassion. A veterinary hospital should understand the gravity of these moments and treat them with the utmost care. Instead, we were left with a hollow apology and no effort to make things right. We are utterly disgusted and heartbroken by the way we were treated. Trust is everything when it comes to end-of-life care for a beloved pet, and Temple Terrace Animal Hospital has proven they do not deserve that trust. I would strongly urge other families to think twice before bringing their pet here for such sensitive care. No one deserves to endure the pain we have experienced, knowing that the very people you put your faith in could not be bothered to respect your last request.

I don't usually share personal stuff like this, but I'm making this post for one reason only. If you ever have an emergency with your pet, go to VEG ER for Pets. When we were trying to find a vet to perform the surgery, our VEG doctor sat there and personally called vet after vet to get someone to fit us in. And when we finally found the right place, she stayed on the phone with the surgeon and fully briefed him on Charlie's condition so there was not a single gap in his care. They kept us informed, comforted, and confident that our boy was in the best hands. He made it through surgery like a champ and finally came home but after we got him settled, his temperature dropped and we had to rush him back to VEG. They immediately took him in, warmed him, ran an ultrasound to make sure nothing was wrong, monitored him until he was stable... and didn't charge us a dime. Because of how long this whole process was, and having to go back again, we saw three different doctors at VEG, and every single one of them treated Charlie (and us) with the exact same level of urgency, compassion, and kindness. That consistency in care meant everything to us. Charlie is home now, snuggled in blankets, eating, and slowly getting stronger! If you ever face an emergency with your fur baby, VEG is the place to go. We are beyond grateful and will recommend them to anyone and everyone.
