I normally go to the Cody's location in Crystal River, but I was in the area and decided to stop by the Spring Hill location to see if there was any difference. I was happy to experience the same great quality food and service I've come to expect from Cody's. My server, Meghan, was wonderful from the moment I walked in. I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and such a friendly, welcoming attitude. She was attentive throughout the entire meal without ever being overbearing and made sure everything was perfect. She checked on me often, kept drinks refilled, and made me feel genuinely appreciated as customer. You can tell she really cares about giving great service. She also told me about the appetizer special -- the stuffed mushrooms -- and I'm so glad she did because they were absolutely delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly. That may sound simple, but it's surprising how often restaurants miss the mark. Cody's always seems to get it right. The food and service are consistently great at Cody's, and now I'm honestly torn between the Crystal River and Spring Hill locations. Thanks Meghan and Cody's for making it so difficult! read more

My daughter and son-in-law live here and they go to this place regularly because everything they get is of consistent quality and Customer Service. You get large portions, reasonably priced and always delicious and they are known for their buns with cinnamon butter! I came here with my granddaughter for lunch, I ordered her favorite mac & cheese, I have had their mac & cheese for dinner before, and it was homemade and delicious, so I was a little disappointed to see that what they served her look like it was from a craft box of mac & cheese didn't look the same at all, but for kids, she really didn't care. She's only three and doesn't eat that much so it was a lot of food. It was more like an adult portion than a child's portion. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but the server had suggested they're special. I chose the pulled pork with vegetables and a sweet potato. They came with buns to make sliders out of the pulled pork, but the real plus was that it came with dessert, which was apple crisp bread, pudding I believe, I was so excited for that, so imagine my disappointment when it was time for my dessert, and he said I'm sorry we are all out!!! What?! I asked him was there an alternative dessert? He said., no unfortunately when we run out we run out! I thought to myself, really? So I ordered this because it came with free dessert, but too bad for me no dessert?! I thought that the fact that there was no alternative not even a dish of one scoop of ice cream was very disappointing because I felt like I paid for something that I didn't get. Aside from that the food was delicious, our server was exceptionally attentive, I guess just keep in mind if they run out of dessert for the lunch special too bad too sad! Cody's is always a great experience. If you're lucky enough to get Joni as a server she is always cheerful and attentive. My only complaint although trivial is I think charging 79 cents because I wanted a little more butter for my potato is a bit much. If you would put enough butter on the potato in the first place, I wouldn't have had to ask for more. I must say, there are Always plenty of servers on hand to take care of their customers, unlike another steakhouse that has the name of a State in it's name! read more

The rolls were tasty with the cinnamon butter. The chicken-fried chicken came out hot with excellent seasoning. Also a large portion. The chopped steak cooked to perfection. Cody's Roadhouse was a delightful surprise. We came here today for a quick meal. We got a very delicious, solid meal and outstanding service. The menu is large with a ton of variety, so there is something for everyone. The server was honestly just terrific. Attentive and quick, she made sure we always had drinks and checked often to ensure we were happy. Her manager also checked in several times and was visible. They are very attuned to their patrons and actively looking to offer help. The food was extremely solid. We started with the chips and 3 dipping sauces followed by a house salad before our meals. The salad is tossed at the table, a nice touch and very fresh. The yeast rolls also are a delight, and they disappeared very quickly. For our main courses, 2 people got fajitas, 1 person got pot roast and I got the steak with scallops. It was all very good and cooked just right. They also had buy 1 get 1 free drinks, which was awesome. You get drinks 2 at a time, so be ready! Also worth noting the margarita mix is very smooth. Went here for Thanksgiving dinner with a friend, because I've had their holiday food before and it has never disappointed. They have two specials, ham or turkey and of course turkey was a selection for Thanksgiving. It includes the salad and a side and I opted for the loaded Mashed potatoes. The atmosphere is noisy, but you experience that always with this restaurant, it's part of its charm. Adrianna was our server and what an adorable one she was. She did not seem to be unhappy to be there. Just willing to serve and give us anything. We needed to make our stay more comfortable. She was absolutely great! The food arrived really quickly, and we barely even finished our salads for the piping hot food came out for us to enjoy. Our friends invited us to have dinner at Cody's steakhouse and I am very glad they did. We were lucky enough to get a server by the name of Ken. I would have to say he was by far, out of every restaurant I have ever been to, the best waiter we have ever had! From the very beginning, he welcomed us with a smile, a great attitude, and a funny joke. He has A wonderful personality he continued to make us laugh and feel like we were part of the family. Our drinks were never empty. He came by and checked on us very often and the jokes continued to keep coming, and of course, we joked back with him. He was extremely funny and when we go back to Cody's, we will request him as our server. He went over the list of specials and told us since we arrived during early bird Special that was the same amount of food, as was the regular portions, but it was cheaper. He was very helpful, very knowledgeable, and treated us like he knew us forever. As you can tell, I'm talking more about our server, Ken, than I am the restaurant. The reason for that is like I said, he was the absolute best waiter we have ever had, and we dine out a lot. Now onto the restaurant. Everything was extremely clean. The service was fast the amount of food we were given was very good for the price that we paid. The French onion soup was probably the best that I've had in a long long time. The raspberry iced tea was excellent and didn't taste like anything artificial had been mixed with it. Our food was brought to us rapidly and looked like an artist had created each dish with skillful hands. There was plenty of parking, handicap accessible, a wide variety of dishes that you could select from. The bathrooms were very clean, handicap accessible as well. We are very, very happy that we chose to come to Cody's and I hope the pictures I submit do it justice. And I even got a picture of Ken. The best waiter of the year award goes to him. read more

Adrianna was our server tonight and did a PERFECT job for us! Average neighborhood joint with lots of seating. Tables have paper/crayons so anyone can draw on-top. Every time we have visited family there is usually a wait on busy nights! Food comes out quick and we've had something wrong or cold with each order. Not sure if it's due to the high amount of traffic and some people's food sits out while others are getting made. Dinner rolls also aren't complimentary and need to be ordered with specific food. Overall we visit to meet up with family but burgers/fries are better across at chilis! read more

The restaurant was completely packed (so many customers outside waiting on their reservation) but everyone was very polite and friendly. We hardly waited 10 minutes. I met friends for an early dinner on Thursday night for the steak special. We were very glad we came early because it was starting to get very crowded. What a great meal for a great price, not even mentioning that we had happy hour going on! Service was great and food was excellent! The manager even came around several times to make sure we had the food and service we wanted. Because it was dinner time we noticed a very large crowd at the bar. It was a little bit too chilly to be out on the patio, there wasn't anyone who was outside but I can imagine it would be a great location for spring, summer and fall.
