Children's Mac & Cheese and fries

My daughter and son-in-law live here and they go to this place regularly because everything they get is of consistent quality and Customer Service. You get large portions, reasonably priced and always delicious and they are known for their buns with cinnamon butter! I came here with my granddaughter for lunch, I ordered her favorite mac & cheese, I have had their mac & cheese for dinner before, and it was homemade and delicious, so I was a little disappointed to see that what they served her look like it was from a craft box of mac & cheese didn't look the same at all, but for kids, she really didn't care. She's only three and doesn't eat that much so it was a lot of food. It was more like an adult portion than a child's portion. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but the server had suggested they're special. I chose the pulled pork with vegetables and a sweet potato. They came with buns to make sliders out of the pulled pork, but the real plus was that it came with dessert, which was apple crisp bread, pudding I believe, I was so excited for that, so imagine my disappointment when it was time for my dessert, and he said I'm sorry we are all out!!! What?! I asked him was there an alternative dessert? He said., no unfortunately when we run out we run out! I thought to myself, really? So I ordered this because it came with free dessert, but too bad for me no dessert?! I thought that the fact that there was no alternative not even a dish of one scoop of ice cream was very disappointing because I felt like I paid for something that I didn't get. Aside from that the food was delicious, our server was exceptionally attentive, I guess just keep in mind if they run out of dessert for the lunch special too bad too sad! I think next time I'll ask them to serve my dessert first. But then again, I don't live here so I may not be back lol

Joy, our waitress was an absolute joy and took great care of us! The food was great ! Everyone had shrimp but me with a burger. . They devoured before I could get a picture. If you hit during Happy Hour, it's a double score on drinks! You won't be disappointed. Come hungry and thirsty!

Food was fairly good, lacking just a little in flavor, but we would return. Hopefully just an off day in the kitchen. Otherwise food was cooked well and the atmosphere was casual but pleasant.

Cody's Roadhouse was a delightful surprise. We came here today for a quick meal. We got a very delicious, solid meal and outstanding service. The menu is large with a ton of variety, so there is something for everyone. The server was honestly just terrific. Attentive and quick, she made sure we always had drinks and checked often to ensure we were happy. Her manager also checked in several times and was visible. They are very attuned to their patrons and actively looking to offer help. The food was extremely solid. We started with the chips and 3 dipping sauces followed by a house salad before our meals. The salad is tossed at the table, a nice touch and very fresh. The yeast rolls also are a delight, and they disappeared very quickly. For our main courses, 2 people got fajitas, 1 person got pot roast and I got the steak with scallops. It was all very good and cooked just right. They also had buy 1 get 1 free drinks, which was awesome. You get drinks 2 at a time, so be ready! Also worth noting the margarita mix is very smooth. A very solid experience at this place and recommended for large groups.

One warnihng: avoid going on Sunday afternoon/evening wihen the games are on unless you are a football fan. It's loud and you may have to wait for a table. But after all, it is a sports bar!

However, it is nice that this is conveniently located just off of US 19. That said, this is a great, quick bar type atmosphere with good food. They have a onion appetizer that is similar to the blooming onion at Steakhouse's. It is fabulous. They also have drink specials like a rocket pop during specific holidays and are quite tasty. Conveniently located behind steak 'n Shake in the Publix plaza. Indoor seating is air-conditioned and they have booths, which are nice when you're with family wanting conversation. Outdoor area is shaded and has a TV in a breeze (wish they'd clean up the trash in the retention pond because it takes away from this experience). Still, the food, selection, quality, and drinks special shells have brought us back on occasion.

We parked in a spot that wasn't handicap allotted so I had a little bit of a walk to get to the handicap accessible curb. Thankfully there are plenty of benches outside to sit and rest when I became tired. The vestibule going into the restaurant itself also had seating for those waiting for a table. The inside had a very rustic, country feel to it with lots of wood on their walls and rafters. Their decor had horseshoes on the columns separating the rooms. Some stuffed animals decorated the walls - my favorite was the huge moose head above the entrance way. As soon as you walk in the hostess station is on the right side to sign in. Even though they were busy we were told our wait time was only ten minutes. I sat down on my walker right near the fresh dinner rolls pick up window. Let me tell you there is nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread to make your mouth water. We were seated at a booth in less than the ten minute wait time by our hostess Zaleigh a very kind young lady who offered to take my walker and place it out of the walk way so people had plenty of room to walk. Our server named Michael came over right away to introduce himself and ask for our drink order while giving us a bag of peanuts to snack on. We ordered unsweetened ice teas with lemons. Their ice tea was very fresh and not watered down like some places offer. For our appetizer we ordered their fried pickles with a choice of dipping sauce - either Ranch or their Cajun sauce. We hesitated for a moment so Michael suggested that we try a little of both. We agreed. A very nice sized portion of fried pickles and two dipping sauces came out in a timely manner. The pickle chips were warm, breaded nicely and not greasy. Both sauces were tasty and it was great to mix them together on the chip. They were very good - a great way to start our meal. For our mains we ordered the fourteen ounce Fort Worth Ribeyes(no bone) medium rare. I ordered mine with fried onions on top and hubby ordered his with fried mushrooms. They were cooked perfectly and were flavorful and so tender. We were impressed. Our steaks came with two sides. I decided to have a Caesar salad for my first side. It was cold, crisp and had plenty of shredded Parmesan cheese with a delicious Caesar dressing and a couple of large croutons. Great salad. My second side was their seasoned rice. It was like a rice pilaf. Rice was perfectly cooked - not under cooked or mushy - it was seasoned well and even had bits of onions in it. Also a solid side dish. Of course I cannot finish my review without talking about their fresh rolls. Soft, warm and smelling like heaven, the rolls were served with their "honey butter". It tasted more like a cinnamon butter compound to me but whatever you call it - they are fabulous. The staff here were friendly and very attentive. Zaleigh took care of my walker and brought it back to me when we were ready to leave. Michael checked on us frequently always with a smile. He had such a great personality! Aidan who is a manager stopped by our table and asked how everything was and if we needed anything. He was very kind and sincere that we were well taken care of. This attention to their customer's needs and the little details made our dining experience exceptional. A really great dining experience that we will definitely repeat!
