AMAZING SPOT!!! Super sweet owner who just loves comics and sharing the love with others, I came around opening time and he gave me a whole tour of the shop, showing me where everything is and all the cool stuff they have!! IF YOURE LOOKING FOR NEW COMICS THIS IS THE SPOT!!! The whole first room as you walk in is filled with new comics and merch and I found some of the newest Absolute issues i couldnt find anywhere else!!! Definitely coming back!!! absolutely in love with the crew. the owner jeff along with one of his many lovely employees Ian,, chris and i have ironically havent met the last employee coffin but i hear great things about him as well. this crew is so welcoming and helpful. whether youre a new customer or a returning one they are always open to conversation and really passionate about their work and love for this medium. jeff is also REALLY REALLY patient and understanding when it comes to questions and i cannot thank him enough for that. they have a variety of comics and are willing to order whatever you are looking for if its in their ability to do so. ongoing/new releases are cover price but they always have great deals and great bins for cheaper books or books sold in a set. read more

If I could give this store a billion stars I would. They are just so kind and cool, and truly so passionate about their job and the art they are so selling :). If you are looking for a local comic shop, this is the one. They have an amazing selection for such a small store, and tbh that makes it easier to find everything ! The workers are so so so nice and just so excited to talk about and get you your comic. And the free coffee with every comic is just a such a cool nice touch! We don't get a lot of nice and genuinely cool places in HB. So I hope this one stays here forever. Also all their comics are so nicely priced !! I've always been into nerd culture but never comics because it felt like an intimidating possibly gatekeepy area. But when I checked out this store on Free Comic Book day, it felt so welcoming! Everyone was lovely, even other patrons. I left really excited to read my free comics. And later when I called, the owner helped me learn how to preorder upcoming comics online and subscribe to a series so I won't miss out. Really cool shop. Came here a few weekends ago looking for a semi obscure back issue from 2017. They didn't have it, but the owner Frank took initiative and offered to order it for me. I didn't even think you could order something from that far back. I came back yesterday to pick it up and and grabbed another issue as well, I'm always supportive of shops with excellent customer service since they are so few and far between. The owner Frank and one of the employees I spoke to on the phone are just cool people. I ended up hanging out a bit and talking about Star Wars and whatever comics we had both been reading lately and he explained their mystery boxes which are all #1 issues with some extra stuff thrown in. I go to a higher volume shop in OC that doesn't fully embrace technology but if I ever move closer, I would switch over to this place in a heartbeat since they sync all their pulls online. read more

I just found this store and stopped in last night for the first time. I am new to comics and have been visiting stores all around OC to get my collection going. This was by far my favorite spot. Everything is organized exactly how I wish every store was set up. The owner showed me around and shared a lot of knowledge. Walked in last Saturday and was greeted by a wonderfully friendly staff. Upon first entering the shop is rather small but space is utilized rather well. After talking comics and life, the other thing we had in common is we were all former military. I walked away with purchases not only for myself but with the kids at home in mind. They allowed me freedom to browse as well as did some searching for me based on my likes and conversation. He has a great selection of both trades/graphic novels and single issues, which combined with the store website makes for a great customer experience. Best comic shop I have been to anywhere in the area if you are shopping for modern books. It is a small shop run by very friendly staff with a lifetimes knowledge of comics. They specialize in modern books but do have a great selection of back stock books, trade paperbacks and graded comics. Great shop to have a pull list with as their customer service is top tier. It's tucked into a small shopping area on Beach Blvd and can be a little hard to find from the street but it is worth a visit. read more
