This place is a MUST visit in Huntington Beach. We came in very unsuspecting, but wanted a spot where we could find some records. Uhm, SOME records is a severe under-exaggeration of what's offered at 1 Look. When we walked in, Davey immediately greeted us and asked what we were looking for so we pulled up a list of some records on a "hit list," then browsed around while he checked to see if he had any of them. Meanwhile, I hunted around - everything is in total organized chaos, with records everywhere, but clearly labeled by genre. The first record I pulled was Biggie's Ready to Die, which was an obvious must buy. We chatted music while searching and when I mentioned I was a Wu Tang fan, he put on one of GZA's first tracks that really kicked things off, that was unknown to me. Davey is someone who knows music and seems to really love what he does. The shop also features a ton of awesome vintage clothes, comic books, and different nostalgic items (plus VHS and DVDs too, which definitely made me feel old). We left with 4 records at great prices and will continue to come back anytime we're in Huntington! Such a unique space that you could spend HOURS in and not uncover all the magic in that place. read more

My friends and I spent almost two hours here because there were so many interesting items to look at! Some clothing, but lots of CDs, magazines, pins, trinkets/paperweights, and books as well. The person working the counter was very accommodating and was flexible with pricing since many items were unlabeled, and was very knowledgeable about the items they sold. The atmosphere is great, there are various boxes of cassettes and magazines underneath the clothing racks, dating back to the '50s. This place is cool as hell and the owner is chill, honestly the most chill dude that runs a store I've seen so no shade. The shop keeper was cool and he sold me a pair of bespoke doc martins for 70$, he said a runway model threw these out when pawned but I dunno I think he was scammed cus these docs seem fake. I'm disappointed but it doesn't take away from the atmosphere of the place, it cool as hell read more

Great shop! Always check in to see if the owner has something specific you are looking for. I randomly asked if he had any hardcore or power violence tees and he pulled out a bucket for me. Left with so many rad rare tees. I highly recommend this spot! read more

The store has a lot of 1980s stuff to send you down memory lane. However, a lot of items are not priced, so if the owner isn't there, the workers have to text him for a price. I saw a lot of people waiting around for that. Then, I found a record in a record bin in the center of the store. I was excited to buy this record, though it was not priced. So I had to do the whole "let me text the owner" process. I was told that his response apparently was, oh, sorry, that's not actually for sale! I was flabbergasted. I didn't sneak in the back room to find this thing--it was definitely in the for sale bin. Just bizarre. If you're near by and interested, stop by, but I wouldn't go out of your way to come here. read more

What a gem!! This store is truly one of a kind. It's a vintage store, a record store and a gift shop - all-in-one. The store is anchored on vintage, music and pop culture... and you can totally feel that with everything they sell. From babies to adults, girly girls to punk rockers, there's literally something unique here for everyone. I went in to buy a vinyl record and ended up leaving with 2 records for myself, a vintage shirt for my boyfriend, a baby rock shirt for my friend's baby shower, and a succulent plant in a seashell for my mom. Smells musty and moldy. Hardly any room to even move around. It's like a second hand over priced junk store. I touched a duffel bag like you would find in the trash and it was covered with dust. I don't know if it's the owner or a worker but poor guy was so stressed out probably because of lack of sales. I don't want to make it any worse for him so I'll give him 3 stars even though I will never return again. My allergies are going crazy. Maybe someone will buy something but I'm not sure why. This is one of the coolest stores I've been too!!! My kids and I happed I'm to 1look while I'm HB and wow! The owner or manager not sure his title and unfortunately forgot his name but he was super involved but not pushy. We loved hearing his and sharing our experiences! This was a cool walk down memory lane and we copped some incredible gear while making a new friend! Well at least he made us feel that way! Great location right off of Main St. And next to some delicious restaurants. Decided to hang out and thrift in Orange County for the day and this was our first stop. They have a few cute items for women but they are a tad bit overpriced. Vintage T's cut and embellished to funk it up...cute! But for $35? I find it to be a but much. They do have a great selection of cowboy boots for a good price but none in my size. It was like Goldie Locks for me...too big and too small. But over in the men's section, they have great Vintage T's and flannels...both of my favorite things! Ended up with a cute flannel for $15...not too shabby! I would venture back into this store if I'm in the area but there weren't a ton of unique items, so I wouldn't go outta my way to shop here. Also, Parking is a pain in the buns so try to arrive early or get lucky and find parking in the structure. First two hours $2, I think every hour after is + $3 and $20 max. read more

Found myself downtown HB and walking into this place. Haven't been here in this store in years. What caught my attention is the large vinyl record collection. Just went in today and the updated shop is AMAZING! My fiancée have always been fans on 1 Look, however new management has taken over and this place is seriously so much better. Literally night and day. The have a much better selection of clothing nowadays and better prices, and an incredible vinyl selection. David was so knowledgeable about every single item in the store, especially about the records. We told him what bands we liked and he offered a wide array of similar artists that he had vinyls of. Was incredibly impressive, never had such good customer service at this shop under the old management. We will be making it a point to stop at this shop every time we visit HB. Decent place. They have some cool pieces. It's a pretty hip spot. I was surprised to see they were open when I went in. Everytime I try to go, they are closed. I'm pretty big on customer service, especially having worked in retail so it's pretty annoying to go into a store & not be greeted. Especially when the store is empty. I guess some people are too hip to say hi lol. I prefer American vintage (I think that's what it's called??)) it's right down the street & the employees are nice. read more

Personally for me I find some vintage shops a bit overwhelming, like I set a strategy when i walk thru the door. Not 1 Look...its perfect! They carry the perfect mix of old to new styles. Incredible vintage pieces, hip styles from new brands, the RADDEST collection of band tee's, to drop dead beautiful jewelry and everything in between. On top of that they are constantly changing out inventory. You can just tell the owners love what they do and they are damn good at it! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for something unique and I gotta warn you if you come here...your not leaving empty handed! read more
