Stopped by here on my trip to SoCal and spent about $500 worth of books. They got a great collection of books both translated from foreign books to Vietnamese books. Nice little bookstore and got some tea tasting as well. Owner was helpful and offered to ship all my books back to Hawaii for free. Pricing is okay. They're not much sales but worth te price if you really like books. Nice place to look for Vietnamese books. read more

Great customer service. Came here last month to buy children's books in Vietnamese; they have an excellent selection. The one I wanted only had 1 copy left, and it was among a big shelf of lots of other books. The man working there personally came and helped me sift through the shelf to find it. The one I bought ("Goodnight Moon" in Vietnamese) turned out to be missing one page, which I discovered after I got home. Brought the book back today. This being a Vietnamese shop, I was cautious to dig out my receipt and bring it, lest they give me a hard time about refunds. The same guy was at the counter. I showed him the problem. He looked in the computer and saw there was another copy. We checked that one and it had all the pages. Without hesitation, he gave me the other copy and took back the old copy (no time wasted recording any returns). He even apologized. Used to Vietnamese levels of customer service, I was impressed. read more

I came here to look around for the first time and I walked away with 4 books. The place is really organized. No pressure to buy anything. This place has many, many options. The person I spoke with that day was super helpful and was willing to look up any book and explained to me how I could look up any book online if I wanted to. I did not know about this option. He gave me a 10% discount when I bought 4 books. I wanted to bring home at least 15, yes 15 books but I had to control myself. Parking was easy. It was easy to find as it's located right in the corner. Like others said: this place has a wide range of selections. You won't be disappointed. It was my first time there and I will definitely come back again when I am back in the OC. read more

I've been buying ashitaba tea here for nearly 10 years. I moved out of state during the pandemic, but still order online from them. Many online retailers of ashitaba tea only sell the 1.41 oz packets, but Tu Luc sells 2.5 oz for a good price. The customer service has always been fantastic and the owner was always a very pleasant man. I'll keep ordering from them. read more

Since I live in OC, in the area with the largest Vietnamese population in the US, there has to be at least one Vietnamese bookstore. My community leader friends (thanks Ysa and Julie) pointed me to Tu Luc when I sought their advice. I was shopping for some children's books for my friends (they keep breeding) and thought I go old school instead of online shopping. I had came across some books online and was curious to see if they had some of the books in their store. It might helpful if you know some Vietnamese since this non-Vietnamese, of course, missed their store since I was just looking for Tu Luc but the storefront name is Nha Sach Tu Luc. Nha Sach apparently means bookstore in Vietnamese. (Feel to view my photo of the storefront) to avoid having to do a u-turn like I did. Parking was pretty easy amazingly for the weekend. Ventured in the store and luckily they had some English words for this non-Vietnamese. I browse the aisles and they also have some CDs and magazines. Majority of the book are in Vietnamese. I did find one of the children's books I was looking for. It was probably one of the rare few books that was in English. Majority of the books were in Vietnamese, which makes sense for the core clientle. They had a wide selection of books. Books from Vietnam and popular American books translated into Vietnamese, like Harry Potter (good) and Twilight (bad). Taking a mental note to perhaps purchase their Vietnamese language book for kids for future gifts . The book I bought was at full price so $3 more than if I had bought it on Amazon but it's worth it for me since I rather support a local business over Amazon any day. Every time we visit SoCal, we stop by this bookstore. It carries tons of Vietnamese books and magazines, something we cannot find in the Bay Area. Love browsing here!! It is located in a strip mall, so there is abundance of parking spots. read more

I would not recommend this bookstore because the owner behavior has problem. Mind you I am a mentally illed. He tapped on my shoulder and offered the book for free. He seemed to be interested in me. He's got all the behavior that is unusual and flirtatious. He smiled and kept saying "Its for you. It is for you." Offering a book for free? Tapping on my shoulder? Do not think that mentally illed can not differentiate whats right and wrong. And fyi Yelp manager: if you want to back up this owners misbehavior by telling me that I am wrong. It's a little hidden gem in the middle of Little Saigon. The owner is so nice and the staff service is excellent. I was able to pick out some books for a friend and learning books for the kids. read more

My dad loves to read vietnamese books, so of course all his gifts come from here. The store is located in a typical vietnamese shopping center and there is plenty of parking right up front. The place appears remodeled because it looks newer than the other shops in the same plaza. I hate shopping at dirty places. My vietnamese isn't too great, but the signs definitely help me from picking out a book from the comic book section vs. the fictional stuff. read more

On a trip down to Westminister, my partner and I finally had the chance to stop by this bookstore. I've been on the hunt for a Vietnamese-English medical dictionary for a long time. I found this store's website online a few months ago and knew that they carried an assortment of medical dictionaries. The shop itself is pretty small and packed with books. I found the greatest medical dictionary there and left a very happy camper. They also have a large selection of psychology self help books translated into Vietnamese. I wish had good bookstores like this in the bay area. read more

I really like this book store. I found some Vietnamese book that I like and they are all affordable.

This place sake all Vietnamese books, DVD and CD. We stop by to pick up a new DVD just release and they got it. Presently they got 50% off sale on books. From the look around the store they are fully stocked all book about any subject you need in Vietnamese. They carry all the title and author release before and after 1975 version. I may have to stop by here later to check out more. read more

The organization of books could use some work, but the place is small enough that you can find what you're looking for if its there.
