I love minimalist spaces, and this is the exact opposite. This is probably just my own OCD personality that misses Steve Jobs and his black turtlenecks. The staff, however, is very nice! Okay, now the coffee, which is what my rating is based on. The latte was a small step up from Starbucks and had an odd taste that I couldn't quite place. My wife couldn't finish hers. The drip coffee was barely above lukewarm and just didn't taste good. Again, it was hard to put my finger on exactly what was wrong with it, but it didn't taste particularly fresh. I noticed the bag of beans on the counter was roasted on 6/30 and marked down on clearance. Anyway, it's probably a perfectly fine place if you're not obsessed with excellent black coffee or high-quality espresso drinks. The space is large, there's lots of outdoor seating, and the staff is nice. I just wish I'd known going in that the coffee wasn't very good, so I'm writing this review for the other people out there who are equally insufferable about their coffee.

Only thing with the ham and cheese croissant was that I cut it in half the short way to share (so you would think both halves would have an even distribution of everything) but all the ham was pushed to one side that their half literally had no ham in it. There were a lot of other things on display that looked really good so when I venture out to this part of town I'll have to come back and give those a try. I definitely recommend coming in early because a lot of things in the front displays were cleared out by the time we got to the front. They do keep making more but it's not a guarantee.

Just found this supposedly lovely and quaint spot to sit down, enjoy my coffee, and catch up with my embroidery. I ordered the iced rose bowl latte, and it had the perfect balance of rose and turmeric without overpowering one another. However while I was sitting down and doing my work, the place had the A/C on even though it was 65 degrees outside. I told one of the baristas, and her response was, "Yeah it's cold huh?", and did not change the A/C settings or turn it off. I asked the other barista if she can do so, but she said she can since the storage room/kitchen would be super hot. If they can provide a better solution to cool off their storage room/kitchen AND to make sure their customers are NOT freezing that would been better. read more

Found this little coffee shop from our way back of dinner at Il Fornaio, which is in the same square. The super cute decor is what drew my attention and after takin mom for her Mother's Day dinner we decided to stop in and check out this place. We ordered a Matcha and a drink that was blue with coconut. It was so good it was not overly sweet and it was a very refreshing taste. My mom loved her blue drink even though it did not contain any coffee but after our dinner we were already tired so I guess that was a good thing. The matcha coffee place has a cool aesthetic with dried flowers in the drinks, which is a nice touch, but the experience didn't quite live up to the hype. While the presentation is Instagram-worthy, the actual drinks leave something to be desired. If you order a cold drink, it's packed with so much ice that you're essentially paying a premium for barely an ounce of liquid. On top of that, they expect you to add your own cinnamon and cup holders, which feels a bit odd given the prices. Like the decor is mehhh and the people are either rude or just creepy. Totally not my vibe. The manager was some short dude, kinda creepy. I asked a question about the drinks and he told me to add him on ig smh. Like ewww no thanks. You're old. Why are you getting at your customers? I'm only 20. The latte was overpriced, filled with too much ice, and the coffee itself was so diluted it lacked any real flavor. The cookie was decent, but it didn't justify the overall cost. We arrived just after they opened at 7am and were quite literally the first customers of the day. Thanks for opening your doors to us! This place is such a unique blend: part hip-hop vinyl shop, part artsy cafe, and all-around good vibes. The music selection is top notch, and I loved browsing the cute merch and randomly awesome stationery items. Service was super friendly. My husband had a great conversation with one of the guys behind the counter about the shop's minimalist decor, and we learned Two Kids has been thriving for 10 years. I hadn't been in since right around the pandemic, so it was heartwarming to see they made it through and are still flourishing. The espresso was absolutely luscious, and as a bonus, we got the prettiest latte art with hearts in our drinks, big love for that! Really wish I had more time to hang out on the comfy couches in the middle of the shop and soak in some vinyl tunes. Can't wait to come back and spend a morning here the right way, highly recommended!

The employees were really nice and the service was quick! The inside aesthetic was cute. Most of the people inside had coffees, so definitely recommend getting that vs a matcha.

It's convenient to get some coffee or tea before walking around. They have seatings both indoors and outdoors. They have decent choices of lunch items and bakeries. The gluten free cookies and muffins were very good. Except why little GF cookie was more expensive than big muffin LOL. I like to get a cup of iced tea for hydration and moderate caffeine boost. A great place for snacks and caffeine beverages!

Been here a few times. I've tried their tuna & cranberry sandwich which is actually pretty good & they don't skimp on the portion or the flavor. Visitors are not allowed to bring in food or beverages into the gardens so this place is one of the options to get some snacks. It's fairly small indoors, clean, airy, may seat about a dozen people in counter seats/tables & booths. For more options, go further into the gardens, about a 5 minute leisurely walk to the 1919 Cafe- more choices/vendors or stalls. This shop is cute. Good experience.
