First time here and ordered everything to go. Customer service was excellent, but the food just wasn't really our group's taste. * Iced Crème Brûlée Latte: 5/10 - Looked great, but both my sister and I didn't enjoy the flavor. The drink didn't have much flavor surprisingly. * Cold Brew: 7/10 - Solid. I'd definitely order it again. * Hot Pandan Latte: 8/10 - My favorite drink we tried. * Asado Chips: 10/10 - Easily the best thing we ordered. * Side Salad: 1/10 - Just wasn't for me and didn't pair well with the sandwiches. * Kimchi Spam Croissant: 5/10 - It was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. * Grilled Cheese: 1/10 -Way too much mayo, barely any cheese, and I ended up throwing most of it away. Overall, not a bad place, it just wasn't our taste. I'd come back for the cold brew, the hot pandan latte, and definitely the asado chips.
While in the area, I decided to grab some food and drink before heading home. Dash was nearby, so I placed my order for pick-up, and it was ready within 10 minutes (so quick)! Service was minimal, but nice when I arrived and soon brought the food/drinks back home. The food (egg souffle sandwich and ube cornflake brownie) were sourced from other shops, so I won't review them here. However, the drinks were, sadly, a bit disappointing: my matcha einspänner had barely any matcha flavor, and I mostly tasted milk. The Perfect in Purple (with ube cream top) had some promise with a tasty, sweet ube cream, but the coffee itself was too acidic to enjoy. Overall, an okay-café, but I'd rather go to nearby Danbi Café instead for better drinks.

They have cookies and brownies that look and an assortment of Asian flavored potato chips. This is a small shop, so when there are a lot of to go orders it gets chaotic to wait in. Service was kind and knowledgeable. The seats inside are comfy and inviting. They have a whole patio area set up and extending into the parking lot, as well. Its a little bare bones, but perfectly serviceable. Music inside is maybe too loud for studying or work without earbuds, but ymmv. There is a small lot that they share with the Thai place next door, and there is sometimes also street parking.
I tried the matcha einspanner here and I was originally worried it'd be overly sweet, but the cream was lightly sweetened and provided a really nice silky mouthfeel to the drink. I also tried a sip of my friend's strawberry matcha and that was also pretty good. Nothing against the business, but the parking situation can be really awful. I lucked out with a spot in the corner but also had to wait for a trash truck to back out. Due to the parking situation, I'm not sure if I'd want to come here to study or anything, but I'd happily come back if someone else drove lol

The ube cream top actually had a strong ube flavor instead of just sweetness and the matcha itself tasted high quality and nicely balanced. Sadly, I didn't enjoy the pandan latte much. I got it half sweet and could barely taste any pandan at all, and the espresso just wasn't really my favorite. Not terrible, just not something I'd go out of my way for. My husband liked it more than I did. Service was friendly and fast, and there's also a self serve kiosk by the entrance if you want to order quickly. The cafe itself is small with only a few tables, but it feels like a nice little spot to sit, chat, or get some work done for a bit. They also sell little Thai/Asian snacks and random knick knacks which was fun to browse while waiting for drinks (wound up with a bag of kimchi and salted egg yolk Lays). Conveniently located on the southeast side of Union and Lake too.
Consistently delicious pandan lattes and matcha concoctions! Dash has been a favorite now for years. I'm not local, but anytime I return to Pasadena, I always visit at least once or twice! The staff is always so gracious and knowledgeable about their current offerings. They continue to experiment with flavors (a new favorite is the Matcha Jasmine latte) Perennial favorites: Pandan Latte (they somehow make the best flavored one here, even though there are now several coffee shops in the area that make this drink. I believe they might be the OG). Matcha latte (they make theirs unsweetened, and for purists, this is perfect!) I need to talk about their Ube foam here. You can add it to any drink (I like topping my pandan lattes with it--it's a perfect flavor blend!) It is decadent, sweet, and creamy, and yes, makes your drink a dessert! While other shops also make Ube cream tops, Dash's Ube foam is the best one by a large margin when it comes to taste and texture. The shop space is cozy and clean, with indoor and outdoor seating. There is customer turnover, but sometimes it's not fast, so a few times, I've had to take my drinks to go even though I had planned to stay a while if seating allowed--obviously others enjoy the vibe here as well!
OMG! Highly recommend! 1. Parking - street (metered) or they have a small parking lot. 2. Drinks ordered - matcha coconut water (10/5), dirty thai tea, biscoff latte, hojicha (my least favorite but still good!) and creme brulee latte. All were sooo amazing! 3. Pricing - :( the only down side is it is quite expensive averaging $8+ per drink. But the quality of their drinks brings us back. 4. Service is usually very prompt. Nothing to go crazy over. 5. They have a few tables indoor and outdoor!
Came in to do some work and it is a cute little spot. They have their own parking lot so that was a plus. They have tables and seats inside and outside. You could order from a kiosk or the cashier. I got the pandan cookie and the butterfly pea fizz. The cookie was pretty good. It was crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. The drink was also good. I wasn't feeling a coffee but I still needed a pick me up and this was a good choice. It was sweet and a little sour. Both items were very tasty!
I was in the Pasadena area and wanted an Einspanner latte. I did a quick search and Dash came up. There's a small parking lot connected which is great, especially in Pasadena. Upon entering the barista was very welcoming and kind. My drink was quickly made and while good it wasn't quite an Einspanner. There were about four small tables inside and really cool speciality snacks.
Such a great cafe! Food: 10/10! Tried the seasonal matcha latte with strawberry cold foam... and I chugged it lol! Matcha latte had a very strong matcha flavor and the strawberry cold foam was amazing! It didn't overpower anything and it was incredible! I was recommended the Ube cornflake caramel brownie and it's something I've never had before! So yummy and would come back and crave it! Service: 10/10! Kind employees who took my siblings' order and whoever expedited my order was fantastic :) Ambiance: 10/10! Cute interior and place was packed with people studying/working. Overall, my siblings and I loved it and we will definitely be coming back! (Maybe next week since we have a weekly sibling hangout lol

Stumbled across this coffee spot after lunch. Overall cute with different types of drinks. Only downside is the parking. Parking lot is very small and so we had to circle around to find street parking. Inside is small but they do have a few tables. Staff greeted us and was friendly. I got the dirty Thai tea and it was interesting but in a good way. I also tried the matcha and it had a nice strong flavor. I'm interested to come back to try other things off the menu.
DISAPPOINTED. I walked into the store at 9:20 am on a Wednesday and no greeting from two girls working there. Only when my friend told them we're here for a pickup, then they said it's behind the counter and tell them our name. No smile expression. I'm not sure. Drink has no sweetness? Or has it always been minimal. Pandan matcha (hot) does not have pandan flavor Matcha einspanner has good cream that doesn't mix with the drink (I only mixed it because the drink wasn't sweet, I usually don't mix and drink it from the lid).

Great study spot as it's quiet and chill, but there aren't a ton of tables/seating available as a heads up. My pandan latte was fine, there was barely any pandan flavor, which was a little disappointing. Service was super quick though! read more

The staff here were all really nice and welcoming, which made the visit pleasant from the start. Place was also clean! As for the drinks, they were just okay overall. I tried the pandan matcha -- the pandan flavor was strong and really tasty, but it definitely overpowered the matcha. If you're a big pandan fan, you'll probably enjoy it, but I was hoping for more balance. I also ordered the matcha einspanner. The cream top was delicious and I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. Unfortunately, the matcha underneath tasted pretty light and a bit watery, so the flavor didn't come through as much as I would've liked. Overall, a nice spot with friendly staff -- I just wish the matcha flavor was a little stronger! read more
We got the matcha einspanner with whole milk. First sip was great (typical creamtop), quite thick and a lot of it as well (good). Matcha itself was pretty light in taste, color was just okay, overall taste was just okay. Generally if you wanted a quick matcha fix, this is the place to go; however if you want a super star matcha I'd suggest just going to ktown! Service was chill and quick. Inside is cute with lots of Asian snacks, some desks to do work, and a nice outside area. read more
I really enjoyed my Creme Brulee latte from here. It was very robust, and full of flavor. I will go as far as saying it was the absolute best one, in this flavor category, that I've had. I went back the very next day. Both times the service was great. Its a small spot, and if you're driving and not looking for it, you'd surely miss it. There's not a lot of parking, but I'd say it's worth a short walk from street parking. Try it, and see for yourself. read more
Heard a lot of good things about this place, and I was finally in the area to give this place a try. Cashier is very friendly and helpful. I ordered a Jasmine matcha latte. They use ceremonial grade matcha, and they are very generous of it. The taste of matcha is strong in the drink, which is what I like. I can taste a hint of jasmine too. It is very difficult to find coffee shops with strong matcha latte these day. I will come back again if I am in the area. Small parking lot outside of the store, but street parking is available. read more
Locally owned and loved, Dash Coffee Bar is one of my favorites in Pasadena. The Ube foam latte is my go-to... as well as the matcha latte. Whether it's matcha or Ube, their ingredients are high quality and rich. You can tell with the shade of Ube and matcha! The service is always top tier and reliable. For those early morning meetings, this is my favorite pick-me-ups. There's a small parking lot but plenty of street side parking. Inside the cafe has a couple of seats and tables to cowork at. read more
A cute little cafe in a small plaza! There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and I can see it being perfect for studying or working. The staff were friendly. The matcha latte was $7 and pretty good. I had to ask for an extra cup of syrup since the standard sweetness wasn't very sweet, but the matcha flavor itself was tasty. My friend got a spam sandwich and said it was delicious. This place is adorable! I was in the area and came across Dash, and if you are nearby you should come visit! Tiny parking lot but there seemed to be some street parking nearby. I got the Pandan Latte w/ oatmilk half sweet and it was delicious! I love that they make their Pandan syrup in house there are also a few outlets and cute bench seating if you need to lock in and get some work done. Will def be back to try some of their food options/pastries too! Their staff was helpful and sweet. read more
Delicious matcha and super cute coffee shop! I ordered the hot matcha latte with the default whole milk and the matcha taste was both very strong and smooth, definitely a high quality latte. They also have a bunch of flavors that look interesting like the ube, jasmine, and pandan! Only con is that the parking lot is extremely small and fills up very quickly. read more
Been here too many times to count. I don't drink coffee anymore, but I am obsessed with their new matcha series. The matcha cloud & jasmine matcha latte are worth the $! Baristas are friendly & they also have yummy pastries & baked goods for sale. They have a small free parking lot out front or street parking is quite easy (and also free) in this area. read more
The Pandan Latte was unfortunately a bit of a letdown. The pandan flavor was so subtle it tasted more like a slightly sweetened iced coffee. That said, the service is great and the interior is lovely. Dash is tucked away from the busy Lake Ave and Colorado Blvd, making it a nice, chill spot to read a book or get some work done. read more

what an adorable little coffee shop that has their own parking! it's my first time here & im so happy its not street parking. when i walked in, i was immediately greeted by the gentleman & took my order. their menu is on the wall & it's pretty easy to read. they also have a laminated menu on the counter that has more items to choose from. i ordered the pandan matcha with matcha cream + their crème brûlée latte. both drinks looked soo good! i got myself the pandan matcha & it was soo good!! the sweetness was perfectly balanced. the matcha cream was delicious! then i got my co worker the crème brûlée latte. she said the crème brûlée cold foam was soo yummy! i most definitely want to try their crème brûlée latte next time. 10/10 great experiences. read more

My friend and I were craving some matcha in Pasadena, and wanted to try somewhere new. This placed looked like it had a lot of good reviews so I came in with some high expectations. There are many other places in south pas that has better matchas. Got the ube matcha, subbed with oat milk and the drink was more or less $10 which was the most expensive matcha I've had. The drink only tasted like ube, not ube AND matcha which was very disappointing. The parking lot was smaller than expected but there are outdoor and indoor seating here. read more
Finally making our way through the Pasadena Coffee Passport and Dash was our first stop! Our friends separately recommended this spot for snagging some snacks and tasty flavored coffee. We walked over but there is a small lot for parking as well as some street spots. There was limited indoor seating and several on the patio. You can order at the kiosk or with the team. I'm on the quest for the best dirty matcha--this one did not disappoint! I got it with vanilla and oat milk; it was a great balance of flavor and gave a kick of caffeine without being over the top. My boyfriend got the pandan latte; he said it was one of the best flavored lattes he's had! We got a butter croissant and chocolate croissant. My chocolate croissant was tasty but a little dry, he rated his croissant a 6/10. read more

Parking: I parked on the street (the parking lane was in the middle of the one way street). I saw that there is a very small parking lot, but I read that most of the stalls are reserved for other businesses. Ambiance: the coffee shop had ample indoor seating and outdoor seating. The shop was very nicely decorated. Service: the service was ok, not the friendliest I've experienced. I walked up to the register and awkwardly stood there while two baristas were conversing amongst each other until a third barista came up to take my order. Drink: Pandan matcha latte (6/10)- the Pandan flavor definitely shined through and the level of sweetness was great. The matcha itself was alright, not my favorite selection. It wasn't very matcha-y, but also wasn't very creamy either. Also, the drink was $9, which is very expensive for a regular flavored matcha latte Ube Toffee Crunch cookie (10/10)- I really enjoyed the cookie! It's so flavorful and I love the soft chewy center. Im not kidding when i say dash literally got me through college. Dash was the friend I made along the way... Looking back i'm so glad to have lived close by enough to walk here all the time. I got the same thing everytime -Einspanner was the one that changed me from a highschooler obsessed with milk tea to a college girl that needed tasteful caffeine all the time. Its so good. They got the textures of the cream just right and the taste hits the spot between a sweet whip and a bitter coffee. The service was always warm and quick. I love everyone that worked there yall are so cool and chill I lost my APPLE PENCIL HERE LOL and they looked for it and saved it until my next visit. so nice I had a cheesy chicken sandwich here that was godly on a autumn afternoon paired with , yes, an einspanner. Dash coffee bar is a cool spot for local Pasadena vibes. The parking lot is tiny but there can be street parking near by. Pros: a really good matcha latte (one of the creamiest I've ever had & the perfect amount of sweetness). Minimal social interaction if that's your vibe and you order at the kiosk. Get a cool snack like a bag of chips from Thailand or another snack with a flavor you may haven't had before. Cons: not personable bc it seemed encouraged to order at the kiosk. On the pricier side for a drink. For oat milk, sweetener (it doesn't come sweetened as is), and a cold foam, it cost $11. That is wildly overpriced in my honest opinion. Not enough seating. 4 pairs of people can sit inside. Overall, I can see why people would like this place, but it's not my cup of tea. I can't afford to come to this place on a regular basis. read more
I was really looking forward to a vibrant, ceremonial grade matcha latte based on other Yelp photos, but my first drink was a letdown - it was overly milky and barely had any matcha color or taste. (Note: it comes unsweetened). Thankfully, the barista was incredibly accommodating. She readily adjusted my latte by using 75% of the milk (by my request), which made a huge difference in bringing out the matcha's flavor. She also recommended switching my cream foam to their matcha foam, which was subtly sweet and had a wonderful, authentic matcha taste. That was a game-changer! Having experienced truly high-quality matcha by making my own directly from Japan, I confess I'm quite particular. While this matcha is labeled ceremonial grade, it didn't quite match the depth of flavor I'm accustomed to. That said, with a quick chat with the barista and some minor tweaks, you can absolutely customize your drink to be excellent. Don't miss their other unique offerings! I came last weekend with my girl friends because we were craving matcha. At first glance, this place didn't look like much. But it's another case of don't judge a book by its cover because the inside was very cute and cozy. There was plenty of seating with pillows, making our yap sesh so enjoyable. I got the Iced Matcha Strawberry Latte ($7.50) and was kind of surprised to see how small the drink was when I got it. But again, don't judge a book by its cover. I think the drink was pretty good. The strawberry tasted fresh and the proportion of strawberry to matcha was perfect. BUT after 30 min to an hour, my stomach started to hurt, and not just mine.. but my other friends' stomachs started hurting too. We're thinking it could be the milk being left out for too long (2 of use got whole milk and 1 got almond). I'm not sure if I'd come back because the matcha here didn't really stick out to me compared to other places and it wasn't worth the stomach ache. read more

Drinks are 10/10. Staff are always helpful. They actually have a lot of unique items such as exotic chip flavors and beers from Japan. You can order online and they always have it ready upon arrival. You can totally chill and do work or study here. Parking can be difficult although there is a lot. Love this spot. read more
