They doin it different here!! The best banana matcha latte I've tasted. Actual mashed banana in the cold foam with toffee almonds. My only complaint is I want it in a 32oz cup!! Creamy not too sweet and very high quality. Also got a matcha rain latte with matcha cold foam. Equally delicious. Sweet staff, they have some cute treats too but I didn't try any.
Danbi Coffee is aesthetically pleasing and has delicious brews that satisfy anyone's taste pallets. Being in Pasadena, I'm surprised it wasn't heavily trafficked as other locations. I'm assuming because it isn't near the shopping areas of downtown, so it's not quite as bad. They have a designated parking area in the back of the coffee shop, but you can easily find parking on the street. We came on a Sunday morning and noticed all the seats being taken up inside. They have seats lined on the exterior of the perimeter of the store, too. The AC was blasting when we came, matching the cold, rainy temperature outside... we actually didn't end up staying here for long due to the that. When we were in line, we were able to peruse the merchandise that they had for display. Shirts, snacks, or drinkware. We also decided what items we had wanted from their menu. I was quite disappointed that they discontinued their mochi drink. I ended up getting their banana latte and my fiancé ordered their coffee coffee latte. We also ordered their beautiful dessert. Their banana latte was good but it truly tasted like an overripe banana; the type you put in your freezer to save for banana bread. I didn't quite like it. It was also topped with toffee bits, which gave the drink a new appeal. I think I preferred my fiancé's drink over mine. We ordered their Tropical Fruit dessert as well, which reminded me of the viral pastries I would see influencers eat. It had a crunch exterior made of chocolate with real mango chunks inside. It was mixed with passion fruit mousse and coconut crunch and sponge, like an almond joy bar. It was delicious but quite expensive to purchase. I'd love to try their other ones such as the Dubai chocolate one or their raspberry. Overall, the experience was quite decent. Their workers are very stressed and fixated on pumping out the drinks at a fast rate. I'd come back if I'm ever in the area, to try other drinks they have alongside their desserts.
I had a good experience at Danbi Coffee (Pasadena). I ordered the Banana Cream Latte ($6.50 - Iced). The caffeine is soft but uplifting. And when sipped directly from the cup, there's a fresh & clean banana flavor from the cream. There's even a "CRUNCH" from its sprinkled almond toffee. It's not bad. I arrived at Danbi Coffee (Pasadena) on Monday (around 10:50AM). Parking is EASY and FREE which is a very pleasant feeling whenever in Pasadena. There's a public free lot across the street. There's also free street parking nearby. Most street signs say, "2 Hour Parking" or "1 Hour Parking." Staff is friendly and helpful. Staff politely answered all my questions. Staff was also busy with a steady flow of customers. My coffee took eight minutes and five seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Banana Cream Latte ($6.50 - Iced). There's potential since the ingredients taste good quality and well-prepared. For example, I really appreciate how there's mashed up bananas in the cream. However, the drink tastes like separate ingredients all attempting to mesh together. This coffee doesn't taste like bananas; rather, it just tastes like a milky, weak-ish cold brew with squished bananas on top. It's not bad, but the cream tasted better than the coffee... On ambiance, Danbi Coffee (Pasadena) looks relatively clean but old. The plastic chairs have bits of hair in its crevices. There's swathes of dust underneath the corners of the building. The cleaning all felt a little half-done. Fortunately, the tables and general area felt clean. Also, I love how they're generous with the air conditioning; the location is almost chilly and crisp. There's also utility at Danbi Coffee (Pasadena). Although there's only three electrical outlets, they're adapted to hold four sockets each. There's also customer internet with password; the details are displayed near the register on the straw container. There's also a gender neutral restroom. In addition, there's about 12 interior tables, and there's about seven outside tables. There's plenty of seating. Overall, I had a good experience at Danbi Coffee (Pasadena). Parking is EASY and FREE which is a luxury for Pasadena. Although the location is also a bit worn down... there's genuine utility if searching for a solid work/study spot. Danbi Coffee (Pasadena) is not bad. 4.5 out of 5
Very clean and cute place with plenty of indoor seating. Great spot for studying. Parking was easy with a free lot in the back and additional street parking available. Staff were nice, though service was a bit slow. We ordered the Matcha Rain (unsweetened) and Banana Cream Latte, along with the Tropical Mango and Espresso Tiramisu for dessert. The matcha was a bit of a letdown. It tasted more milky than matcha-forward. The banana latte wasn't bad and didn't taste artificial, but it leaned on the sweeter side. For desserts, they were a bit pricey, but the espresso tiramisu stood out. Great texture, flavor, and not overly sweet. The mango dessert had potential, but the mango itself insiwas very tart. Overall, a decent spot, especially for studying, but some hits and misses with the drinks and desserts.
I LOVED MY DRINK! As soon as I finished I wanted another one. Such a treat. It's a cute cafe with a great selection. They certainly have a diverse menu that rotates and it seems they are in the specialty coffee / matcha lane. Cream tops, fun flavors and such but they use good coffee beans so I am sure there regular standard cafe items are also really good! The service was quick and the space was spacious to work but it does get crowded! They have a nice patio too! I can't wait to come back!

There is parking available on the streets and their back lot. Their drinks were solid but nothing spectacular imo. I got their matcha rain which is a matcha latte with oat milk and with matcha cream top. I thought it was pretty sweet and the matcha flavor was very mild and wasn't as rich as I'd like. It was also on the pricier side of $8. My friend got their strawberry latte with added espresso and that was pretty good with a nice balance of coffee and sweetness from the strawberry bits. Overall a nice spot to study at but i thought their matcha was just okay. I would probably stick to their coffee next time. They also have really pretty cakes on display although quite pricey at $10 and up for each.
Coffee/boba/matcha shop number 10,000 is here ... Danbi! As a Pasadena guy, I'm moving this one to the top of my list. Here's why: Creamy. If you like an einspanner coffee drink (cream top), put Danbi on your list too. Super creamy and oat milk is available at no extra charge. In fact, all the drinks are priced two or three dollars less than other shops, and the taste is 10/10. There are tons of other options but you cannot beat good coffee. Parking. Unlimited and free behind the shop (which is built into some kind of apartment building I think). Seating. Tons of tables, comfy seating, and great Wifi. It's Sunday afternoon and every table is taken. But there are tall chairs available around this cylinder thing that are very cool. Three baby strollers in the cafe right now, they all contain dogs. Not much in the food department, but the ham and cheese croissant I got was gobbled up in about 10 seconds, so it must have been pretty good. See you At Danbi!
I visited Danbi Coffee to focus on my course work. There were plenty of street parking on Green, so I didn't bother with their parking lot. I got an ice matcha latte. While I ordered less sugar, I still thought it was a touch too sweet. It was still a good drink. There were plenty of seats, but crowded due to its proximity to Pasadena City College. It gets pretty loud but what really bothered me was the temperature. I was trembling after an hour. For a typical spring day (76F), I had worn T shirt and shorts. Overall, would revisit.
Heard nothing but great things about this place and when I happened to be in the area I had to make the stop. There's plenty of street parking around which was great. Upon entering there was a line of about 5 people in front of me. I was looking at the merch items on the wall and couldn't help but notice all the dust. I waited for my turn and when the time came the barista was not welcoming. I ordered the Einspanner coffee and while good I have definitely had better. I noticed the majority of folks were ordering matcha so maybe next time I'll try that.
I kept wondering why so many customers were ordering the matcha rain, so I had to try it myself -- and man, it was delicious. Definitely a must-try. Their iced latte was also pretty tasty. They don't have a huge selection of syrups, but that was fine with me. I believe the one I chose was honey-based. I probably looked a little funny walking out with a matcha and an iced latte in hand, but I couldn't decide. Besides, whichever one I didn't really like, I just gave to my husband lol. If you're around Pasadena, definitely try this spot.

I appreciated that all their drinks come with oat milk as the default and service was really quick and efficient with the drinks but thought the oat milk really overpowered the matcha rain... There's a parking lot behind and also street parking! read more

Great place to post up & study or get work done! * Few outlets (may be hard to snag a table near one) * Many tables * Bathroom available * Free WiFi I got the banana cream latte with oat milk - LOVED! The toffee was a nice touch and I really enjoyed that the cream had real banana in it. Big fan! Parking was not bad at all, I didn't even park in the lot in the rear and had no trouble finding parking elsewhere. Music wasn't too loud or distracting, so very conducive for working or chatting with a friend! read more

I've frequented this shop now and it's 5 stars in my eyes. The matcha rain has been consistently smooth and tastes the same every time. A little sweeter but it's good! The internet is great speed for working, even if sitting in the outdoor tables. Free street parking around too! read more

Cute coffee and matcha spot! It's down the street from PCC but came by during lunch and it was not busy. I can imagine how busy this place can be with students studying. Street parking is available but there is a parking lot available across the street as well, super convenient! They have drinks and pastries too! We tried the: Matcha Matcha Rain Banana Cream Matcha Matcha Latte All 10/10 recommended. Tomato Basil croissant(?): Highly recommend this. It's like a pizza. Blueberry scone: your basic scone. Nothing too special. Overall, friendly service, good vibes and good drinks! read more
Danbi coffee. Love how they actually had parking near on the street. Lots of it. Staff was nice as expected. Super hot day so I got myself a matcha rain. Which is their version of a double matcha. What a nice surprise! I recently ordered from Uber Eats the Banana Cream Matcha w/ toffee nuts (A) and Einspänner (A+) and both met my expectations! I like the fact that the Banana Cream Matcha had just the right amount of sweetness on regular and the Einspänner had a smokiness to it that was irresistible. If you like La La Land's Banana Cream Matcha you would definitely like Danbi's version. I got both with oat milk which is usually my go-to base. Would definitely order these 2 again but will be trying other items on the menu soon! Packaging for Uber Eats was awesome they had red tamper tape wrapped around each drink. Service was fast as was my Uber driver so can't complain there. Can't speak for the ambiance but from pictures it looks clean and well kept. read more
This is easily the best spot for high-quality matcha in Pasadena! Their coffee is just as impressive, too. I always order the Matcha Rain (double matcha), and the flavor is bold, rich, and never overly sweet. I've also tried their einspanner, which is perfectly creamy, strong and so delicious. The space is very clean with plenty of seating and tables available. It can get pretty busy on the weekends and the line can look long, but the wait is usually not bad at all. Service is fast, and the staff are always nice and friendly. Definitely a go-to spot for a solid matcha fix! read more

This place is super popular. There was a line all the way to the door when I visited on a weekday late afternoon. Most of the seats were occupied by students on laptops but we were able to snag a couple seats. Service was super friendly. I got a banana cream matcha with almond toffee (unique combo that worked surprisingly well)! We also tried an espresso tiramisu. It was pricey but also really good and unique, with a thin chocolate shell with vanilla mousse inside and a crunchy chocolate hazelnut wafer inside that. read more

I've been here multiple times and somehow it just keeps getting better every visit. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I'm addicted to their banana cream drinks. Whether it's coffee or matcha, you really can't go wrong. They're both INSANELY good. The espresso/matcha base is strong and bold, which perfectly balances the thick, sweet banana cream foam. The crunchy taffy-like nut bits on top take it to another level and make the drink feel extra special. The strawberry matcha rain was also beautiful. Delicious, scrumptious, and made exactly how I like it. The strawberry syrup wasn't too sweet, and the matcha (as usual) was strong and perfectly balanced. The Einspanner latte is solid, though pretty standard compared to other places. Pastry-wise, I've only tried the tomato basil croissant and WOW. Super filling, flaky, buttery, and the tomatoes literally burst with subtle sweetness that pairs so well with the pesto. Even though they're always super busy, the service is consistently top-notch. Every staff member I've encountered has been welcoming and friendly. Parking is also easy as there's a lot in the back, plus convenient street parking. Highly recommend!!! read more
One of the best matcha spots in Pasadena! Their matcha rain & banana cream matcha are both amazing & have a strong matcha flavor. There was no line on a Saturday around noon, & the drinks came out fairly quick. The decor/ambiance could use some work, as it is not a place I would want to stick around & chill at. However, was not a big deal since I took my drinks to go. Easy & free street parking. read more
My favorite drink here is the banana cream matcha and my gf loves her strawberry matcha rain from here. Outside of the building gives very early 2000s kdrama vibes. Interior is actually very nice especially for a study spot since they have lots of seating. There's also lots of free public street parking which I appreciated. Service was nice and relatively fast with the coffee. Banana cream matcha was very delicious and went so well with the almond toffee! Strawberry matcha was also amazing and wasn't overly sweet with the jam which I liked. Definitely coming again. read more
The danish was super flavorful and flaky. The tomato paired super well with the pesto. I also found both drinks really good especially the banana cream matcha. It is the perfect balance between banana and matcha and the crunch from the topping adds a great texture. Service was incredible and all the staff were super nice and helpful with questions. Was in line and everyone who drank the strawberry or banana cream matcha would have a wow reaction. I ended up being one of those. I didnt think itd be that good but yes i love the banana cream. I loved the banana cream matcha. The banana cream was thick and flavorful with the added taffy bites. The only downside was that they only have 1 size and its pretty small. Drank it so fast. The eisenberg coffee tasted like how it would taste at other coffee spots. No complaints but also not a wow factor. read more

This might be my new favorite spot to get coffee or tea. My bf and I walked here so not sure the parking situation but it's located in a pretty quiet part of Green St more of east of old town Pasadena. I've been on a banana matcha kick and this place was one of the only ones that had it. My bf got the einspanner and I have to say both drinks were 10/10! The banana matcha is a bit pricey at $8 for the size but the quality is there and they don't charge extra for milk substitutions. I went again and got the banana cream latte which was also good but I prefer it with matcha. Lots of toffee bits as well which is a nice texture contrast and sweetness to it. The employees are always very friendly and there's a cute display case with fancy desserts. I like the interior it's spacious and there's comfy mushroom looking chairs to sit and wait for your drink too. I'll be back for sure! read more
Finally got to try danbi coffee! I was so excited to try this place after seeing the cutesy themed menu they have (the font was cute)! It was located on a one-way street so driving there felt like we were making lots of circles before reaching our destination. If you go to PCC, this would be the perfect cafe to visit to study since it's a super short walk! There's parking on both sides of the street which is super convenient! The cafe itself has 2 entrances, one for online orders and one that directly leads to the register! I went on a Thursday late afternoon at around 3 pm and there were quite a few tables full of students! I also noticed that there's a sign that says "pastries 50% off!" I was so tempted to get something but I was so full from lunch, maybe next time! There were 3 people working so the service felt really fast. I ordered the matcha rain and it came out as soon as I paid which was really nice! I was feeling adventurous so I got the matcha rain which was a double matcha, I'm assuming. The total was an even $8! Drink: Matcha Rain (7.5/10): This drink was a matcha latte with a matcha cream top! I think it was an 8oz cup and the total was $8 so $1/ounce! The menu does say they use ceremonial matcha and use oat milk as their default base. It's definitely on the pricer side but the matcha flavor was very strong and prominent. It had a sweetness but umami taste to it. I thought that the drink was very aesthetic since they drizzle some matcha on the side of the cup but ultimately, I thought it was on the pricer side. read more

This is hands-down my go-to coffee shop in Pasadena. They do the basics right. Classic drinks, consistent quality, and zero gimmicks. Every time I come here, the coffee tastes the same in the best way: balanced, well-extracted, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. I've tried dozens of coffee shops across LA, including plenty of hyped spots, and I still come back here because I actually leave satisfied. Their classics outperform every nearby competitor, and that kind of consistency is rare. If you want good coffee without being disappointed or guessing what you're going to get, this is the place. read more
I came back to Danbi since I really loved the flavor of the matcha! This time I got the Banana Cream Matcha and I will say this is one of my favorites! The pairing of this is so good I crave it all the time! Service is great! They're always very nice and will answer any questions you may have. I was in the mood for some matcha post-lunch, and I stopped by Danbi Coffee. The café outside looks unassuming (almost missed it), but inside is very spacious and good for working. I opted for the matcha rain (matcha latte with matcha cream top), and I appreciated that the oat milk was default for those lactose-intolerant, like myself. This coffee house is stark white and very clean and modern looking. The employees were very friendly. They have most of your normal coffee drinks but also some different ones, like the Einspanner and some interesting matchas. I cannot really explain the Einspanner other than it is a "Viennese" coffee and it has a sweet foam. I thought it was great. They don't have a ton of baked goods behind the front counter but the ones we tried (ham and cheese croissant and an almond twist) were very nice. Don't miss the absolutely stunning pastries in the glass case behind and to the right of the counter. They are literally works of edible art. In terms of atmosphere, I personally prefer a less modern look to my coffee houses but for quality and friendliness, I have no complaints. This is very good stuff. read more
Cute coffee shop close to Pasadena city college, a great place to work with indoor and outdoor seating! I ordered the matcha rain and the ham and cheese croissant. I'm back here! This place is really good. They're getting really busy! Now I'm trying their cakes and they're soo pretty aesthetically pleasing and really yummy! They're soo perfectly made The drinks never disappoint its creamy, perfect amount of matcha and coffee and soo good. I really loved the balance. Ambiance is cute, and plenty of seating. They also sell some merch like shirts, coffee, tea and cups. I will definitely comeback again to try more drinks and cake! Definitely my go to cafe place in Pasadena! I ordered a Banana Cream Matcha Latte, and it was very good! It tasted like high quality matcha, but the banana cream was a bit overpowering. I liked the crunchy bits topping a lot! They have a lot of seating available to sit and enjoy your drinks. They do not have a parking lot, but there was ample street parking nearby. read more

Finally got the chance to try out Danbi and I'm glad it's now available closer to the area versus driving into LA. The location is close to PCC, which is nice for students to be able to walk to. There are no parking lots but plenty of street parking near the area. We came on a rainy day thinking it wouldn't be as busy, but to our surprise, it was full of people! The line gets pretty long, so be prepared to wait a bit to order and also get your drink. They are known for their Matcha and coffee, but also have a selection of teas that are from Korea (brand: Our Tea). There are quite a few seats inside if you are looking for a place to study. We ordered their matcha rain which is a combo of matcha cream and matcha latte. Unlike most other places, the drinks aren't as sweet which is nice.
