    Salted Cold Brew Cloud
    Jowel G.

Same great place since I last visited in 2019. A quick stop for a cold brew and a lemon loaf slice (friend purchased). Cold brew was strong as expected but didn't taste much of the foam as salted anything. The lemon loaf was grainy -not sure what the ingredients were to make it grainy, but I did appreciate the lemon flavor and icing.

Such a cute cafe, that can get busy! Sometimes there aren't tables available, but luckily the last time I went my husband and I were able to get a table to drink our coffees and croissants. I ordered a hot oat latte and it was really good. I've tried the Vietnamese cold brew, but unfortunately it was a little sweet for me. My husband got an Americano and it was great. We both got a ham and cheese croissant and it was soo yummy! Really liked the cheese they use. I will keep coming back when I'm in the area, I want to try more of their pastries!

I've had a lot of things here so I'm going to rate and rank each item: 1. Cardamom oat latte (best cardamom latte I've ever had and is so delicious that I get this far too many times) 2. Iced london fog (so different and nice every once in a while if you like a london fog) 3. Rose matcha (matcha is a decent quality and their rose is so nice and subtle that I get it a decent amount) 4. Purple caramel latte (yum, but sweet) 5. Black vanilla latte (yum, but also sweet) This place is such a great place to also work if you can get a seat. On the weekends they will bring in live performers too, which is so nice!

This has been my favorite coffee spot ever since I last tried it of course I came back the same coffee wish it was a bigger cup though, and I ordered the breakfast burrito, but forgot to take a picture of it. The croissant was perfectly flaky on the outside and nice and soft in the inside and warm. It was very delicious.

(+) Lavender and Oat Latte Republik is a breakfast and lunch restaurant that freshly makes their pastries and serves a variety of sandwiches, coffee tea and breakfast goodies. There are a few locations in the SGV, and this location is located off Green Street, which is a one-way street. They do have a designated parking lot where they validate for an hour of parking. There is parking available on the street too. Drinks: I ordered the lavender and oat latte with a croissant. What stood out to me about the latte was the balance of floral and coffee flavors. None were overbearing. The croissant was delicious as well. Nothing special about it though. I will come back to try some of their hot foods. Service/Ambiance: There is a counter you order from and plenty of seating inside and outside. The shop is welcoming and comfortable. Plenty of large and small tables. Overall, I want to come back and try more of what they have to offer.

4.5* Coffee 4* Service 4.8* Ambiance Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, with a relaxed Mediterranean vibe that feels bright, comfortable and inviting. It's an ideal spot to meet with friends, work remotely, or just enjoy some time people watching. When many other coffee shops close early, Republik stays open until 6:00 pm, which is about two hours later than most nearby cafes. They offer an variety selection of coffee, pastries, parfaits, and sandwiches, along with a few hot dishes on the weekends. The quality here is good with friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and longer hours. Republik has live music on the weekends which makes this also a fun and relaxing place to gear up for the week.

    Vietnamese Cold Brew

Came in on a Sunday afternoon and got the Vietnamese cold brew! The line was kind of long but loved by fast and I got my drink quick. I really wanted to love it because it said there was coconut juice and cold foam on top but it I kind of got bored of the flavor after some time. It's definitely not Vietnamese coffee lol but it's a nice creamy and surprisingly refreshing drink! I couldn't finish it which is rare for me but it started to just taste like a regular vanilla cold brew. It's also pretty sweet but you can ask to dilute with the regular cold brew which I did and it helped! The cafe was cute, there's an outdoor patio and indoor seating with some cute greenery. Saw a variety of people grabbing brunch and doing work!

i really wanted to give this location a better star review because i really loooveee the republik coffee in Burbank!! i stopped by here early morning before work on March 19th @7:16am and thankfully there was parking in the front. i really like how this location is a bit bigger than the one in Burbank. As i walked in it was pretty empty inside which was nice because I didn't have to wait too long. The gentleman who took my order was really nice. i ordered myself the iced lavender and honey matcha latte with oat milk & i got my coworker the salted caramel cold brew. The barista was a nice lady however i do have to say that i was not too happy with my matcha latte. My matcha had more milk than actual matcha which tasted like i was drinking a cup of milk. it was just too much. i feel like the barista didn't measure the matcha properly with the milk or something. thankfully, with the straw i could taste the lavender + the honey in the bottom of the drink which sort of saved it. i did not want to say anything because i had to be at work. My co worker did enjoy her cold brew. Her drink actually looked perfect. i also got myself their breakfast burrito with the spinach wrap & it was really good. it's nice that it comes with a red sauce & a sour cream. Matcha drink 2 / 10 Salted caramel cold brew : 9 / 10 Breakfast burrito : 9 / 10

My favorite coffee shop in Pasadena! Whether it's for a quick coffee or to work for a few hours. The staff is incredible nice and even remember my order and my name. There's been multiple times my drink is already being made before I even order. It can get crowded but that's just a sign of how great this place is. The food is so good and fresh! Some of my favorite are the Mediterranean toast, egg toast, and the chipotle chicken sandwich! My kids love the French toast. The place is great for working or for catching up with friends.

Really enjoyed my visit to Republik Coffee in Pasadena. They have matcha and avocado toast, which were both great. Sat outside and the vibe was really nice--lots of people working, hanging out, and enjoying the space. Service was easy and smooth. Definitely a good spot if you want a relaxed place to sit, work, or catch up with someone.

Came here since I was near by for an event and was a bit hungry. I have to say I was happy with my choices. I got a strawberry matcha, which was so delicious. I ended up getting an avocado toast, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was so delicious and full of flavor and the presentation was so nice. While I was there a guy was also playing live music. Also I have to say I loved how clean the staff kept the place, since while I was there, I finished my food, but was still enjoying my drink, and the staff took my plate to put away. Honestly great little spot, nice vibes, and nice staff.

In town for a work conference and needed a real coffee moment, so I stopped by Republik Coffee in Pasadena -- great decision. I grabbed their vanilla latte (the fancy name escapes me), and even though it leaned a little sweet, the flavor was super smooth and honestly pretty addictive. No artificial aftertaste, just a really well-made latte. The space has that clean, modern vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned, and for early morning, it was surprisingly calm. Friendly service, quick turnaround, zero hassle. Perfect way to kick off a long conference week. I'd definitely come back -- and next time I'll order it "less sweet" and settle in for a bit.

This bar is tucked inside Vroman's Bookstore (already one of the most charming and iconic bookstores in the area) so the entire experience feels like stepping into a warm, literary universe. You can browse for a new book, take in the bookstore's atmosphere, and then walk straight into the bar. Honestly, it's the perfect outing. What makes 1894 truly special is how intentionally it celebrates literature. Everything in the bar pays homage to the bookstore. The drink menu is full of clever, book-inspired names. You'll find cocktails like Pride and PearJudice Pride, Fifty Shades of Earl Grey, and other fun literary twists. Every drink feels like a little wink to readers, writers, and book lovers, and it adds such a unique charm to the experience. The vibe is super quaint and warm, dim lighting, and a creative atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. The wine is on the pricier side ($19-$21 per glass), but the quality delivers. Customer service was excellent. One of the bartenders spent time chatting with us. He pointed out a chalk artwork behind the bar a dramatic portrait he drew himself featuring expressive, literary-style faces, like Edgar Allan Poe, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, etc. It fits perfectly with the creative, bookish aesthetic of the bar. If you're into books, wine, and unique experiences, 1894 is a spot you absolutely can't miss. Perfect for a date, a solo unwind-with-a-book moment, or a fun night with friends who appreciate a good story and a great drink.

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

The decor is also very nice, it's like a transformation walking into a tasting area in a winery. I get why this place is the way it is, it is a different persona from the other owned establishment, but wine can be intimidating. You have the reds, whites, the sweets, the sparkling and etc. Not only the difference in profile, but you can pair it with food to enhance the overall flavor. There's potential to display educational decor or have sessions to educate. They do provide a wine club, but small steps can establish commitments with a new customer base. The pizza is delicious. The sauce is great, the crust is solid, and the toppings are of quality. If you want something light and fresh, the Margherita. The most underrated pizza since we are all accustomed to a lot of toppings on pizzas. This is a must try. This place out of the other owned spots has burrata cheese. I think adding mozzarella with burrata would improve this pie, but nonetheless still good. The truffle pig pizza was also good. If you're looking for meaty and something not too light, this would be a good option. I definitely will be back. Thanks for everything!

Definitely would recommend the mushroom pizza, one of the best I had. Wine selection was good. Waiter was helpful and knowledgeable when it came to selecting wine.

The menu had many delicious options, and we ended up splitting a cinnamon roll, shrimp Louie salad, BLT, and Quiche Pot Pie. First, let's get into the interior. Superduper cute and has many options for seating, including a sidewalk patio, back patio, and interior dining room. We sat in the dining room and it was comfortable... next time I would probably sit outside for a different scenery. Service was great. I have no complaints about that! It was efficient. The guy was polite and was around when we needed him. The food was delicious, but I really didn't think it was that innovative and thought it was a little bit on the expensive side for what it was (except for the cinnamon roll it was priced accordingly and so good hot!). The BLT was very average and I thought the bacon seemed a little old, good fries, but again it's not anything special. I expected more with the quiche pot pie, but it was really delicious and the endive salad was a nice accompaniment. We really enjoyed the shrimp Louie salad--very fresh and appreciated it was not doused in dressing. I had the garden Siesta cocktail and my friend had one of the spritz-- as a lightweight it did not do anything to me hahaha... All in all a nice leisurely meal, but the flavors and execution was not super memorable for the price point. No h8 though--would go again!
