Unbelievably dirty and cluttered for a food establishment. The wall above the serving counter is so covered in dust is conceals some of the red color completely. It has been that way for a long time to build up that much. There isn't enough storage apparently, because there are boxes stacked everywhere. Including directly on the floor, a health violation. There is a dark corner with 2 sofas, partly walled in by more stock boxes, that just screams spiders. The whole place just smells dusty. They need to close for a week, clean thoroughly and figure out their storage issues. No one wants to come in and see a mess like this. read more

By chance we ended up here because the other place we wanted was closed. The coffee place was clean, but the only employee had the broom and dusting pan right out in front. My husband ordered a Caramel Macchiato with coconut milk and I ordered an ice blended Tiramisu with coconut milk. The Caramel Macchiato was good; the Tiramisu tasted like blended ice with a hint of sweet flavor and I didn't like it, but helped with alleviating my hot flashes...LOL. I normally frequent the downtown location, which is excellent, so this rating is specifically for this location. Our drink order - one simple smoothie and my almond coconut boba - too over ten minutes to prepare. The two women behind the counter appeared confused and disorganized. When we finally did get our beverages, I was given a regular straw for my boba drink. Since we didn't plan to stay to drink our beverages, we hit the road. Guess what? My order was incorrect! I think I got some mocha drink. Additionally, the boba was too soft and squishy. Not the quality I expect from a Coffee and Tea Zone. The entire experience was disappointing, to say the least. We won't return to this location and will go the extra distance for the boba downtown. read more

I come here regularly just for bubble tea. It is one of the few places in Colorado Springs that sells it. The baristas are very friendly and efficient at what they do. The cafe setting is dimly lit, has spacious seating, and is mostly quiet aside from the blenders and side chat. I would not recommend this as a study spot, but it will work if you just want to hangout. The bubble tea here is not that great, but again, this cafe is one of the only places that offers it. The boba is always leftover and is hard and stale. The teas are all blended into smoothies except for milk tea. Portions are pretty small, even the large. I would prefer less sugar and less ice, if given the option. Flavors are limited as well. Overall, I would not come here for bubble tea if Colorado Springs opens an actual bubble tea shop that most cities have. However for the time being, it's the best I can get. read more

I stopped by Coffee & Tea Zone a couple of Sundays ago as I was visiting Colorado. I was staying with some friends who live near there and was up super early for a Sunday and hopped on Yelp to find a good place for a coffee run, and this place was the closest and open. I didn't have anything special- 5 regular coffees- but the coffee was great (I like mine medium/light and not too bold)! They had several brew types and offered espresso drinks. They also had a vast variety of locally owned healthy snacks. The young lady behind the counter was super friendly as well. Needless to say, if I lived in the area this would definitely be my coffee spot. read more

The drinks aren't horrible but they aren't great either. The service wasn't good either and my order was wrong. I ordered a milk tea and they gave me a smoothie, but I didn't even bother to mention it because the service was rude anyway. Their boba is alright- good texture, but not a great taste (boba is pretty tasteless but it's nice if they are a tad sweetened at least) My drink itself tasted overly artificially flavored and sweet though. The drinks are pretty good although I think the boba could be a little bit sweeter. My biggest complaint is how flimsy the cups are. They are made out of very flimsy, cheap plastic and it feels like they could easily collapse when they are full. For a $5 drink, they could provide better quality cups like all of the other drink places do. It feels like the business owners are trying to cut corners with such cheap cups. read more

It is 3pm and I've never ever had a bad experience until today! I always come here and the people are always so nice and inviting until now. The girl working is just so straight up rude. I guess she doesn't know how to provide any customer service. It's sad that now I'd rather to go to the powers location even if it's farther. Friendly, but this place could use an upgrade. A simple Goodwill or Salvation Army trip could do wonders for furnature. The icecream freezer is being used for items other than ice cream. Posters hangingboff walls just gives it a low class feel. Spend the time and let your customers know you are. Just a thought. I still recommend this place for coffee, but long term business or school ventures, not so much. Loved the coffee in a mug and the prices are very reasonable for the area. To put it simply, this place is legit af, great coffee, friendly service... boba. They will even put boba in your coffee, a first for me and I never want to go back. Awful customer service. This was my first time trying the chia bubble tea with boba and I didn't like it so I asked to exchange it for a different flavor and the manager/owner wouldn't exchange it and said she needed to make a profit. She argured with my friend for about 5 minutes who paid for the drink and she would only exchange for a small when we paid for a large. A profit is more important to her than her customers. She just lost two customers. Apparently she doesnt know she needs customers in order to make a profit. When customer service is genuine and kind that is when you make the profit. I had high hopes for this local coffee shop. But this was a horrible experience. The gal was slow and then later when the owner, Kathy, arrived, all she could say was "thank you?" I stopped by to try some of their coffee beans and a coffee. It took 40 minutes to get my order. There is only one person working on Sunday and based on comments from others there that is how they staff on Sundays. The gal took my order and then I notice several people waiting. She continued to take orders before she started any of the orders that were waiting! when she did start the orders and someone else arrived, she would stop and take additional orders! I lowered my rating recently, not because the service or quality of products changed. I used to stop by often in the morning; however, now you have to deal with a bunch of smoke walking in and out of the restaurant most mornings. There is a bench close to the door where there is often a group of people smoking. It is nice to see a group of people gathering each morning and I don't mind that they smoke, but the smoking spot needs to be moved further from the door so others don't have to walk through it. There are ways to balance protecting the freedom to smoke and the freedom from others having to breathe it. I hope a compromise can be found by moving the smoking spot further from the door. When I see them outside I drive by and go elsewhere. read more

Out of all the Coffee & Tea Zones in Colorado, this is the best location. Boba at different locations would vary on texture, but this location always serve fresh boba. I have been experimenting with the drinks and my favorites are the Polar Mocha and Tropicalada with jelly. read more

I've been to Coffee and tea zone twice and will never go back. I enjoyed one drink, but after a horrible experience with the manager/owner they will not be getting my business. I bought a large drink for a friend, she didn't end up liking it so I asked to exchange it, and after about 5 minutes of arguing with me, the woman changed my order but would only change it to a small drink not the size I paid for, which was very upsetting. I deserve to get what I paid for not what the woman thinks I deserve. It was an unnecessary argument that wouldn't have occurred if they had better customer service. read more

I came here with a friend on November 24th at about 5pm for a quick pick me up. We ordered a mocha. I was given a boba, which at the time I had no idea what a boba was. I can understand the miscommunication with the two items sounding similar however when I told the barista I received the wrong drink, he very rudely told me I had ordered a boba and begrudgingly made me a mocha. Worst mocha I have ever had! Tasted like watered down coffee with absolutely no mocha flavor. I ended up not being able to drink it. I will never come back to this establishment again. This a a 5 star cafe!!!! i go here daily and i love everything they have from frozen yogurt....all the way to their micky's magic boba smoothie. the prices are affordable and i love the workers.... you just HAVE to leave a tip because of the genuine quality here. they also do speciality drinks like hot choclate on ice cream and red bull boba smoothies...JUST ASK! i strongly recomend going here and im there so much i will probaly see you!!!!! read more

I had a bad experience at this chain today. I went in wanting to purchase 4 boba tea straws from them but they told me they don't sell those straws (even though they have plenty in the store) which was fine. Then I asked whether they can just give me one and they refused. I thought it was very rude as I was trying to purchase it from them and they refuse and they won't even give me one (to send me off happily) . I was employed at Coffee and Tea Zone, it is a horrible business and I caution people from going there. The management was the worst I've ever experienced in all my years of working, and they mistreat their employees, paying them way under minimum wage, and get away with it because the employees make meager tips. I was baffled by the amount of people that quit or were fired, the turnover rate of employees is so drastic, that they had a "now hiring" sign up the entire half year I worked there. No time or effort goes into making of drinks, almost all of the bubble tea drinks are literally powder and milk, and they are extremely overpriced. The stores themselves are questionable as far as health codes are concerned, I recall being shocked because the were rodent problems, and the management, did nothing. Please consider giving your business to other coffee shops that actually care about their customers, and put effort into making drinks. read more
