I hate wasting food so I tried a few bites to make sure it wasn't just one bite that was sweet. Nope, the whole thing was basically sugar. It only took those few bites for my stomach to start hurting and still is as I write this! I took it back to the counter and politely explained that I couldn't eat it because of how excessively sweet it was. The bowl was over $13 plus tax for a small size, so I asked if I could get a refund. The employee called the manager, who refused, saying they couldn't refund it for the reason I gave. I tried to explain that I've never had an açaí bowl that I couldn't eat and this was truly so overly sweet that it was horrible. They didn't care. They didn't offer to remake it, let me choose something else, or provide any type of solution. I was essentially told sorry, too bad so sad. If you order something here and don't like it, don't expect them to make it right. You're simply out the money. As an added concern, the cleanliness was disappointing. The restroom was in very poor condition, with urine and grime on the toilet seat and all over the floor, and it appeared to have not been thoroughly cleaned for quite some time. Overall very disappointing experience and I would emphatically not recommend!
