This review is strictly about their coffee and service. The workers were extremely friendly and nice, helping me choose the type of coffee beans I wanted to buy as a souvenir. I chose one expresso and one medium roast. Both were excellent and tasted fresh and smooth. Specially, the Ethiopian Ardi had a very fresh, berry, and slightly sweet flavor. It was light and balanced. Also, they offer bagged, fresh roasted coffee beans on their website for delivery. However, it does not include all of the ones at the store. The prices are fairly reasonable and vary between $15-20 a bag. read more

Stopped in for a morning coffee before hitting the road. The shop has a welcoming atmosphere, and seems like a good place to knock out something due before a deadline or wait for inspiration to strike while gazing at the mountains, especially with WiFi and a printer available. A good sized menu with several unique blends of coffee to try. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte on ice, and they got it right out. Good coffee, service and view. COVID SCORE: 1/5 As I was ordering my coffee a guy walks in without a mask. Barista says, "we require masks now" Guy says, "I don't have one" Barista proceeds to take his order as he stands no more than a foot and a half away from her just spraying his germs in her face. She then turns around to make my coffee. NOT COOL AND NOT OKAY. As for the coffee, I drove out of the way to try this local roaster and I'd say the light roast I tried was slightly bitter and over-roasted. That was unfortunate because they were using a very good quality bean from a great region. On a positive note, they did have a very nice selection of beans from other regions as well. Including Chinese sourced beans which is highly unusual in the US due to import costs but it's a fun region to try if you like trying coffee from all around the world. The cinnamon roll was okay. I have had Mission Coffee Roasters on my list to visit for the longest time, and just hadn't made the drive all the way up north until a few weeks ago and I am so glad I did! My first time there, it was pretty busy but the workers were busting orders out and remained super friendly! The customer service here is phenomenal and like no other! Even with being busy, they were super polite and helped suggest a flavor for iced coffee for me to try based off my favorite flavors. I went with a tuxedo flavored iced coffee as recommended by the barista and was absolutely impressed with the flavor and quality of their coffee! Their homemade cinnamon rolls are a must try too! I got one to go warmed up and was better than any leading chains! They also have lots of open space to sit down and have a nice get together with friends, or a nice spot for studying etc! read more

We were here for vacation and decided to try Mission Coffee Roasters out! WOW! We're blown away #1 by the incredible customer service and #2 by the quality of the coffee! I got a sugar free iced vanilla latte and my husband got the sugar free chai latte! Both were incredible and how awesome is it that they had sugar free products! We also had weird requests as both times we came here we asked for side cups of milk to make protein shakes for long hikes we were headed to. I can't believe I haven't been here before! Things are a bit different now with Covid so I didn't know what to expect. Upon entering, we were greeted with masked by masked employees but despite that, you could see the smile behind it and feel the appreciation for just stopping by. My daughter ordered a Vanilla Carmel Frappe and normally, I cringe at high priced coffee shops but knowing that my dollar is going to a good cause made me feel quite happy with the purchase. Her drink was absolutely delicious as well, in fact, she even said it was better than a similar drink she gets at a national chain. Happy we came here and plan on returning again to support local businesses, especially ones that are created in order to serve customers, their community and those in need. read more

I ordered an Americano with cream and the owner became upset with me and told me in a condescending way " you should really be ordering a latte because milk is expensive and it's worse for you but better for us as a business". GREAT COFFEE! Some guys are nice but horrible at business. Some guys are great at business but are downright ornery. Owner Brett Bixler is both kind-hearted and brilliant at business. I am very glad to have recently met him and after sampling his product can say the coffee is first rate. Even mailed a package to coffee snob friends back in NY and they raved about it. There is meeting space upstairs that you can rent which is very convenient. You can have your meeting here and enjoy great coffee and treats. Solid business model with retail and sit down café in addition to being a wholesale supplier. Bring your earbuds and laptop, get a great cup of coffee and stay a while! You'll be glad you did. This review is based on two visits. Both were similar in that the service was good but not exceptional and the coffee drinks average. I really wanted to like this place, and I do, but it's just average. Other than some nice decor, I can't think of anything that is outstanding about Mission Coffee Roasters. The location is on the corner of a row of business that appear to be office or very light industrial businesses. It's a bit of an odd location but it's convenient and the shop is decorated nicely. Its decor is mission style...and I really like it. The service is good and efficient but the baristas don't go the extra mile. For example, after making our espresso drinks, the barista put them on the counter and called out to us to pick them up...but there was nobody else in line. She could have brought them to us at the table...as have countless of other baristas at other coffee shops have done for me or other customers in similar situations. The bottom line is that Mission Coffee Roasters is not bad. It's an average coffee shop. If you're looking for a great espresso drink in The Springs, I couldn't tell you where to find it; I'm still looking. read more

Poor service. I don't know if their coffee is good or not as the "barista" told us she didn't know how to make it, nor was it ready, despite the order being placed two days prior via Door Dash. We had an event and ordered coffee but was ultimately told that the barista didn't know how to make the boxed coffee or do refunds. Poor training for the barista and that is a direct reflection on management/ownership. I was asked why I was upset..."it's just coffee." I cannot stress enough how important it is to check out the many local coffee shop businesses that roam your city. Starbucks is great and all but how many times have you come in with the inability to work at a table or there is a line that stretches all the way over to the next continent? I came here to study with my friend a few days ago and there were tables for me to work at after checking out two other Starbucks prior (this is what I am talking about people!). The shop is quite spacious and the baristas we conversed with were splendid. What I had to drink: Caramel Vanilla Latte (extra sweet because I like my coffee to give me Type II Diabetes, not funny but it honestly is the truth). It tasted grreeaatt paired with my afternoon Chipotle (I am not sure how much more basic I could possibly get) Last impressions of this place would be that it has many tables to work on, there is fast wifi, service is great, and the coffee is wonderful! It is quite a shame that they are located in the corner of Voyager that many do not seem to see, but this hidden gem is my new go-to study spot!! read more

Mission Coffee Roasters coffee is smoooooooooooth. They also have some great looking pastries from a bakery in Denver. The owner has a big heart for service so he uses his business to benefit non-profits. The location is a bit odd, but it seems to work for them. They have a conference room upstairs that can be rented by the day. This would be a great colaborative space, and with coffee in hand you're bound to have a good time. read more

The owner and baristas are super friendly - but most importantly - extremely knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. I had one of two brewed coffee on tap - the Mexican Chiapas. Not the worst coffee shop in the Springs, but not the best either. When I saw this establishment opening up I was super excited. I thought maybe there might be an amazing coffee shop that couples both ambiance & quality in the same place, but my wish was granted as much as I hoped. I will say that this coffee shop does have a great ambiance. The recycled wood used for all the tables, counters, and other fixtures really gives a great vibe to the whole shop. I think if I just wanted to go and get some studying done or have a meeting there it would be perfect for that. Now I may be too much of a coffee snob when it comes to coffee shops (there are few that really impress me honestly) but I had much higher hopes for the coffee here. I have been in twice now and the first time I ordered an 8oz latte which I was abruptly told was "the kids size". I continued with my order anyways and I had expected there would be 2 shots of espresso in the latte, which is fairly standard at any serious coffee shop, but there wasn't. The barista handed me the latte and it was very hot and the foam looked like soap suds. I paid and left. But I am a fair guy so I gave it another chance. The second time I went back, knowing what I knew, I asked for a double 8oz latte steamed to 140 degrees (which is perfect drinking temperature and the milk starts to burn past that, losing it's sweetness) hoping that it would be correct. This time the latte was hardly warm, just like warm milk, and I couldn't taste the espresso hardly at all. What I could taste, tasted good, but either there was still only 1 shot or it is just incredibly light for an espresso. The milk foam again was pretty sudsy. All in all I will probably go back again to give it one more shot sometime, but my expectations are fairly low. If you are going for atmosphere I say give it a shot but if you're looking for good coffee you should either go across the street to Cafe Velo, Colorado Coffee Merchants off of Fillmore, or Urban Steam downtown. read more

I use to absolutely love this place. I would study here and drink my weight in coffee and tea. However, as of recently they started charging people per hour to use the upstairs area, which is really the only place to talk to other and to do some work since now the main level blasts Christian rock music a little too loud to think or talk, causing a headache (even with headphones). A few months back they use to play soft jazz and instrumental music, which was nice to listen and make the main level the best place to be and talk. I hope they return to they way things use to be. I would be back in a heartbeat. I still think their dirty chi is the best here in all of the Springs. read more
