I came here as part of the Providence coffee crawls. I went on a Sunday afternoon and spent about 5 minutes driving around trying to find parking. There is a parking lot attached to the building, but I was not sure if they charge; street parking is free on Sundays it was a bad risk to take. It seems like there is more to the building than just the coffee shop, and also that it used to be a space for something like a bank because of the clock on the wall and the aesthetics. There are 4-5 tables to choose from, all by the window with lots of natural light and opportunities te people watch. Unfortunately, the windows face another brick building so its not a glamorous city view. I was not in the mood for coffee, but I was intrigued by the turmeric latte instead. I opted for a medium one and my mom had the hot chai latte. The medium was BIG and it did not bring too much ice so you do get your money's worth. The turmeric latte was a pastel yellow color and tasted a lot like melted French vanilla ice cream, or egg nog but less rich. I was not a fan since it was sweeter than I thought and did not taste like turmeric (or have the color). I did like my mom's chai latte though. It was not too sweet and it was creamy. It was quiet in the shop, so definitely a good place to get some work done or read a book. The staff was friendly. read more

I stopped at coffee connection as part of the PVD Coffee Crawl. I forgot they had a downtown location so this was a nice reminder! The service was quick and the coffee was good. There was some construction going on so I'm curious to see what they are doing with the space! I only went for a coffee today and got an iced mocha swirl with almond milk. They don't charge extra for non dairy milk and you get a discount if you pay in cash! I need to go back for food. The acai bowls and smoothies looked great! There was a cinnamon roll that was calling to me too. I'm lactose intolerant and was so happy to see they had vegan cheese too! Definitely need to come back. They don't have any prices listed though, I do wish I knew how much all the food was. Also pro tip - they are currently raffling off tickets to see Lion King at PPAC, if you don't have tour tickets yet definitely go get a coffee and enter the raffle! read more

It seemed like this shop might have been under construction, but service was friendly and fast. Greatly appreciated. Quality was just as good as the other locations I've been to for coffee connection, but the parking was not easy. If you're downtown for work or something else, it's a good spot. Otherwise, I'd suggest another location that's easier in and out! read more

My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite. Their Black Forest and iced coffee never disappoint! My husband deleted his chicken Cesar wrap and said it was the best Caesar wrap he has ever had. I chose the bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant, but the egg gave me the ick. Service was friendly, and the space was clean. Out of all of their locations, I still prefer the North Attleboro location. read more

I had never been to this coffee shop before, so a friend and I decided to try their coffees to-go. Since it's Valentine's Day time, we opted for flavored coffees. Their Red Velvet iced latte was TO DIE FOR. Easily one of the best sweet coffees I have ever had!!! It tastes exactly like red velvet and was not overly sweet. I've been going here for a couple of years, (maybe two dozen visits) and generally have had okay experiences. The space is nice because they moved right into the old Knead Donuts shop, who'd done a great deal to make the space look good. But Coffee Connection Providence has never been great. Today I had my last bad experience at the coffee connection. I mention weak coffee in my initial review. Today I ordered an iced coffee, then watched the barista fill a cup with ice and pour scalding hot coffee fresh out of the percolator. As said, the coffee is weak to begin with, when i mentioned that I'd have preferred not to have a cup of melted ice, the barista became curt with me, "do you want it or not?" I hate wasting food, so I just took it. But did not appreciate the poor response. They generally do not care about the quality of their food. Today's sandwich was similar to others, I asked for a ham egg and cheese on an english muffin. The egg and ham were microwaved to the texture of rubber. They have the toaster on its lightest setting, which runs the bread through too fast, and you get warmed but not toasted breads, bagels and english muffins. (See pic). The result was a luke warm rubber sandwich on raw dough. Another gripe from an earlier visit is somewhat opaque pricing, which is poorly marked on menus. Once when I was ordering a sandwich, they let me know they'd run out of my chosen bread, and offered me several other options, I chose one I didn't really want, but they charged me an extra 1.50 for the sandwich without letting me know about the added cost beforehand. I think this was more an oversight than intentional, so I am not going to down-mark the rating. Just be mindful of pricing when you make substitutions. The staff there are fine until they you have any complaint, no matter how reasonable. That said, if you are desperate and have low standards for coffee ie, hot or cold brown water, poorly prepared sandwiches, then it will suite you. But it's basically no different than the vending machine at a hospital at midnight, sad depressing food. read more

The iced latte is perfection. The muffins taste homemade with just a hint of sweetness.

The staff their are always awesome, and honestly as somebody who works LONG night shifts it makes the morning that much more enjoyable. Their open earlier than most breakfast places and offer the most food for the lowest price. Their bagels are amazing and I think I'll be a regular here for some time to come. Also in a great location, not too far from the train station, Kennedy plaza, and college hill. The shop is cute inside too. read more

It's so nice to have a new business is the original Knead Doughnuts space! Coffee Connection opened about a week ago, and the staff are still settling in. The coffee menu is large, as expected, with several different flavors of iced coffees - baked into the beans not added as syrups. Weekends they'll offer Knead Doughnuts to supplement the pastries and bagels available daily. read more

Our nearby hotel included breakfast, but after 2 days of so so fare we decided to go "light" so I made the short walk for a few breakfast pastries. Each looked fresh and mouthwatering, but I finally settled on blueberry muffin for the Mrs. and a almond croissant for myself. Neither disappointed. read more

I'm looking forward to trying some of the coffee and breakfast sandwiches, but so far I have only tried a Buffalo chicken wrap at lunch time. It was good but maybe even had too much chicken (which isn't a bad thing but it made it almost too filling). I was impressed! We ordered a few things: - Asiago bagel w egg and cheese (2 stars) - iced chai (4) - berry smoothie with apple juice (5) - Greek salad (5) I WAS SO IMPRESSED. I was excited to try this place because of the wide variety they offered on their menu, but it's actually a very confusing experience. The flavors feel like a Russian roulette because they're all just cute names with no descriptions so you just have to ask about everything. It also smelled like something awful was burning in there. I ended up ordering an açaí bowl, which I usually love and don't really think you can go wrong with. Today I learned you in fact can go wrong. Protein powder is one of the available toppings, I never would have assumed that it was actually going to be a TOPPING. Who throws protein POWDER on top of anything??? I assumed it would have been blended into the açaí. It's not. I even called just to verify this is the way it's intended to be served. They're trying to do way too many things all at once. They may have something on the menu that's good but it would be a hunt to find it. read more

My family and I were so excited to try this place until my son ordered a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich because he's lactose intolerant . When we received the sandwich it had cheese on it When we asked for no cheese . My son not knowing there was cheese ate it and got sick. I work in the area and walked over to this place because i wanted a chicken salad sandwich. i got there a little before 2;40 and the door was locked. i tried to call and it said it was passed business hours despite business hours clearly stating the place is open until 3. I looked in the window and workers were inside. I tried to ask if they were closed through the window and a girl came over to the door and said they were not closed but they're not making food only coffee. I'm sorry i understand they were closing soon but it seems lazy of an establishment to not be fully functional until they're actually closed. I say that as someone who works in the industry. If the kitchen closes at 10, we don't tell people at 9:40 they can only get chips and dip. read more
