I used to visit Little City at least three times a week when I worked in Downtown Providence and I always had a magnificent experience. From the staff to the coffee to the food - Little City is one of the best, if not THE best coffee shop in Providence. Definitely in Downtown PVD. My Top 3 Faves when it comes to Little City: 1) The seasonal flavors. Every season they come out with innovative new syrups for their coffee menu and it's always exciting to see what's coming next. 2) Dave! My coworkers and I were some of the first customers when they opened and Dave took the time to remember our names. I hadn't been in over a year (closer to 2 years) and Dave still remembered me when I came by. We've even bonded over a shared birthday. 3) My first "unofficial" date with my partner was inside LC. Cute little city coffee shop located in downtown Providence. Easy to remember name too. My coworkers and I walked to get some coffee and bites and were were greeted by a nice cashier. There were so many different options - signature flavors include brown sugar vanilla and coconut caramel. My coworkers and I tried one of each. The were so many unique pastry and breakfast options. We both ordered the everything focaccia bun filled with cream cheese. We got a couple of pastries too - the gluten free cannoli Bundt cake and the vegan cherry cake. When it came time to pick up our coffees the barista was pretty rude. He was frustrated by our questions which were pretty basic "what's what?!" We ordered four coffees and nothing was labeled. Felt like that was a typical question. There was no one behind us too. I would go back for the coffee and treats, but definitely not the customer service. read more

I wasn't a fan of my iced americano, it was quite bitter, and lots of grounds on the bottom. However, the pastries were some of the best I have ever had and was enough to redeem my lack luster coffee. I got the pumpkin pecan blondie to start and it was good I went back in to complement them and got a sweet potato casserole danish. The cutest hidden gem in downtown Providence! It's a small cafe that serves coffee, matchas, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. I got the iced coconut caramel latte and iced mint matcha. Both were absolutely delicious. Parking can be a pain especially in prime summer months. Mostly street parking or you can pay to park on a lot. I got lucky and found street parking right outside. The service is quick and friendly. The cafe is a good spot to work remote with about 5 tables inside if you get lucky. It's an open fresh and modern design. read more

We wandered over to Little City this morning g fir a coffee and breakfast. We had a pecan pie lattet and a caramel apple latte to drink. I was excited they offered macadamia milk! Both drinks were delicious and not too sweet. I got thr Brie and Herbs sandwich. It was delicious, but I definitely shiukd have added a sauce. My husband had the pulled mushroom sandwich. What a great little spot. It's a pleasant cafe with a nice little set up in there, really cool decor and the folks behind the counter were super nice, energetic, and giving all-round good energy. The house made English muffin egg sandwiches are simple, and absolutely hit the spot for what I was looking for on this day. My wife got the pulled mushroom sandwich and that actually stole the show. It was insanely tasty, I definitely recommend giving this spot a try. The best part is it's smack dab in the middle of downtown and the sandwiches were like, $7-9? Stopped by this morning for a quick breakfast and WOW! I am so so impressed with my food. I got a matcha latte (large, unsweetened, macadamia milk) and was so happy to have various alternative milk options. I could taste the matcha flavor and was pleasantly surprised that the caffeine didn't affect me negatively (as other matchas tend to). Also tried the apple, sage, cheddar scone which was DELICIOUS. I planned to save half for later but couldn't resist. The workers were also very patient and friendly despite it being so busy. A really cute place to grab breakfast, I highly recommend! read more

Little city is a cute cafe that I've been meaning to stop by, since it's fairly new! There's not a lot of seating inside, but we didn't have any problem finding a table during a weekday for lunch. I got a dirty chai latte, which was decent and could've been better with more of a chai flavor. I also got a mushroom breakfast sandwich, with sausage added, which was delicious (especially since I love mushrooms) and surprisingly filling enough. My friend got an iced caramel latte and another breakfast sandwich with tomatoes, which she also enjoyed. I forgot to check if there was wifi, but if so, it could be a cute place to do work! Had a coconut caramel latte that tasted nothing like coconut or caramel. Also had a zucchini muffin which tasted nothing like any zucchini muffin I've ever had and didn't like the random bits of fruit?? Inside. But my biggest critique is the attitude of the employees. I observed several people around me on laptops. I had also planned to sit, study, and do some work for a couple hours. When I went up to ask what the wifi password was, the employees all stared at me like I was crazy, then one guy proceeded to laugh and mockingly say "There's no wifi here." as if I was stupid for asking. I was visiting from out of town, it's 2025, and I saw people on laptops, why would I assume there was no wifi?? If he had responded with something like, "I'm sorry our cafe doesn't get wifi" then ok, but it was the judgemental look on his face like I was wrong for asking. Atmosphere: 4 Super cute little café! I love the wall shelving and the décor on it. Ordering was easy, but there isn't a ton of space between the counter and the door, so I can imagine it getting crowded if it gets busy. Seating is along the glass window which is aesthetically pleasing, and an interesting choice. When the sun shines through the windows, it does get hot on the backs. You also won't be sitting face to face with your coffee mate. Note that there doesn't seem to be a guest bathroom! Portion: 5 The size options of the coffee are standard, and the coffee was filled to the top of the cup. Portioning for the milk and flavored syrup seems a little off, and imbalanced. Flavors: 4 I ordered a latte with oat milk and the brown sugar vanilla syrup. I tasted a lot of the nuttiness of the milk, but not much of the coffee. The entire drink tasted sweet, but it didn't taste like brown sugar, and the vanilla flavor was nonexistent. For another $0.75, it felt like a waste of money. It was worth a try to go to the café, and it's really cute. However, the way the seats were set up, it's not really the kind of place you would go to hang out for long. I love me my coffee shops, and this new little spot "down city" is a nice addition. It's a bright and clean, if a bit stripped down, spot. Note: there is no - and will be no - indoor seating (beyond a long bench across from the area where the cash register and pick up window are. The city of PVD will not allow inside tables if a food establishment doesn't have a public restroom, the Little City doesn't have one. The phenomenal English muffin on my egg, cheese, & applewood bacon breakfast sando was house-made, as all the baked goods are. The cheese mix was tasty and that was an actual egg inside versus an egg-product like what's offered in others places. The sandwich was excellent (or I guess I should say eggs-cellent); not greasy, also not dry. The hot coffee was good. The daily grind is changed about once a month. This month, it's a milder blend of single origin. Two sandwiches, two beverages, price tag under $20? Yes please! read more

I happened upon this cute little coffee shop while in town. The pistachio scone is a must! All the pastries looked good and they're made fresh daily. I had a brown sugar vanilla cortado with macademia nut milk (milkademia). Loved that they had the milkademia option. The drink tasted good. The shop is a smaller shop that makes good use of the space with bar seating if you want to pop a squat. I would be happy to return here. read more

Visited providence for a retreat and stopped in for birthday coffee and breakfast for my husband. It was such a great experience- very clean and cute and the street it's on was such a fun vibe. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast sandwiches (I got the pulled mushroom, my husband got the bacon egg and cheese) were delicious. We also split the cinnamon roll with our 1 year old. The cinnamon roll itself was delicious, the frosting had a coffee flavor that wasn't our favorite but the texture etc was wonderful. At one point our one year old swiped her arm and knocked her glass bottle off the table and it shattered. The barista came and cleaned it up and was so kind and gracious (we felt so bad). Little City is a super cute coffee shop tucked just off the main streets of Providence's arts district. I've been to Bolt, the most well known coffee shop in the city, more than a few times, so I wanted to try something new, and Little City didn't disappoint! I ordered an oat milk latte with brown sugar vanilla syrup, which was warm, sweet, cozy, and exactly what I was looking for. If I were to order it again I'd probably get a little less syrup since I don't love my drinks to be super sweet, but it was a nice indulgent treat. I also ordered a sun dried tomato sandwich, which comes on on the of the house made English muffins. The sandwich was well balance and the muffin was so good, so definitely recommend a breakfast sandwich while you're here! The prices were also pretty reasonable. I wish there were cups for here, but that, the small amount of seating, and the lack of outlets suggests it's not the kind of place where people hang out for a long time. I stayed for about an hour and felt super welcome, though! Overall, it was a great coffee shop and I'm excited to come back the next time I'm in providence. read more
