One of the problems of being a traveling Yelper is that places sometimes get judged based on very little. I want to give benefit of the doubt and leeway where possible. At the same time, sometimes a product just disappoints. I stopped in and ordered a Cortado. The service was friendly, and the coffee came out quick. While not the kind of inviting that would bring the Michelin guide in, it is a good space to spend some time with a friend or two, or to get some work done. The issue I had is that the cortado more closely resembled a latte than a true cortado. Call me a purist if you will, but when the coffee notes are muted to this degree, we have left cortado territory. Final verdict: I appreciate Coffee Crossing's vibe and reasonable prices. I don't find myself in the area very often, but should I find myself around again, I wouldn't at all be opposed to giving them another shot. read more

They are a classic coffee shop that hits you with the coffee smell right as you walk through the door. They have a good banana and strawberry smoothie but it has a little fake after taste. Their cheese Danish is very rich and flavorful. The bagels were kind of thin when toasted and I didn't like that you had to put the cream cheese on yourself. The WiFi was easy to find. Truly, it is ill-advised for me to even think about drinking coffee after 1 p.m. But it was 4-ish in the afternoon and I was dragging, and I was cold, and I still had to cross a bridge into another state by foot. (That's a review for another day.) And so. Hot coffee it was. Coffee Crossing is conveniently located in downtown Jeffersonville. Convenient, if you happen to be in downtown Jeffersonville. I was! It was steps away from a thrift store I happened to be visiting. This is a cute little coffee shop with a cozy feel. It has a few tables, a couple of leather seats, and lots of coffee drinks and baked goods. I got a black coffee, plus two hot chocolates with whipped cream for my children. They needed a little pick-me-up, too. I considered getting one of the delicious-looking goodies in the display case -- there were spinach and tomato quiches, cheese danish, blueberry muffins, cranberry scones and lots more. They were pretty busy when we visited, so we had to wait five or so minutes for our drinks to be ready, but that was fine. The people behind the counter were friendly and kind. In terms of parking: You'll want to park in back of the coffee shop, or across the street, or elsewhere. Coffee Crossing sits on Spring Street, and there isn't any parking immediately in front of the shop. read more

After visiting the Howard Steamboat Museum I decided to get a hot coffee at The Coffee Crossing in downtown Jeffersonville. Fortunately there was a convenient parking spot nearby. The quiche was basically a baked omelet and the cheese danish was very bland and not texturally satisfying. The seasonal drinks were good though, and I would go back for those. read more

We were out and about for an early morning walk across the Big Four Bridge and this was a stop around our midway point. We paused here for drinks -- mocha latte, coffee, iced tea, Boylen soda -- and muffins, quiche, egg sandwich. It was all well executed, including the already packaged items and the made-to-order selections. We entered the space to place our orders and were met with the wonderful aroma of predominately coffee. I want to preface this review by saying I am a manager of a cafe in Milwaukee, I have been in the coffee industry since a teenager and I have been to dozens of cafes all over the Midwest. A very nice addition to the Coffee Crossing family. Located across the street from the News and Tribune building, it is in the heart of downtown Jeffersonville. A big difference for this location is booze! The have beer on tap and cocktails. They have some pastries and grab and go sandwiches. Open and very clean. Friendly service.
