    My strawberry tart latte
    Megan K.

I was super overheating and came across this sign while I was walking and decided to stop on in to try a latte. The staff were super nice and suggested I try the strawberry tart latte, and it was just what I needed to cool down.

Nice cute spot for those who like a laidback atmosphere to enjoy a good coffee or matcha! Service was quick and efficient. You could tell the drinks were made with care.

Pretty good coffee here! I liked the espresso, it was strong and there are plenty of syrup options, which I always appreciate. Little bit of seating inside.

Located near the Louisville Slugger Museum and the Holiday Inn Express, this was an easy 1 block walk from where we stayed. I got my usual hot latte to go which was good. Not a lot of seating in here. I liked the exposed brick and coffee sacks as art on the walls. Staff was nice.

Service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant but the coffee was lukewarm unfortunately. The good news is that they are now open on Sunday un3 pm. It's convenient to all the West Main Street attractions so that's a plus. I will try another time.

What a welcoming and cozy coffee shop downtown. I was staying at a hotel around the corner and wanted a cup of joe before heading home. After a quick search on Yelp, I was walking into Blackbeard. They were definitely in the middle of their morning rush as folks were in line, waiting for drinks, and every table was taken, either by someone working away on a computer or chatting with friends. I opted to go with a latte with soy milk. It was delicious, but I did have to wait extra long because my drink was made incorrectly. Stuff happens, I totally get it. They were also really cool about it and honestly, I didn't mind sticking around to enjoy the vibes before I left. Few little things... There is street parking out front that requires payment, they definitely have wifi, they also had some baked goods, and they had chill music playing. Hopefully that helps set the stage for you. Overall, I had a solid experience.

Delicious strong espresso- iced vanilla latte. Quiet little cafe to work. Great customer service!

Great lattes. Great baristas. Friendly. Food was good but lacked sufficient gluten free options for substantial breakfast items. I ordered my breakfast sandwich without bread. Thankfully they didn't charge me for a full sandwich, which was so kind of them.

Witches Brew is a place to find all sorts of magical things, but it is also just a divine (in every sense of the word) place to sit and have a hot beverage and a pastry. It's worth a visit to this coffee shop just to see the decor. It's purple everywhere, with mood lighting, mirrors, gothic tchotchkes, creepy dolls, skulls and other fun and slightly ominous curio. There are cool things in every corner, and even though I had intended on getting my coffee to go, I decided to sit for a while because coffee sometimes just tastes better when you're surrounded by cobwebs and broomsticks. I got an Americano, which is usually my go-to if I don't know how strong the house drip will be. The Americano was nice and smooth. I didn't have to wait long at all for my coffee. I visited on a weekday during the morning, and there were two people ahead of me, but the line went fast and my coffee came out quickly.

The coffee itself was pretty standard, nothing particularly standout, but the atmosphere is really what makes this place special. If you enjoy spooky or Halloween-style vibes, you'll probably love it here. They also offer free Wi-Fi, so it could be a good spot for studying or getting some work done. Personally, I found the ambiance a bit too spooky for focusing, especially at night. I am just not a big fan of that kind of setting (haha). Overall, it was a good experience and definitely memorable in its own way. I can see why people would really enjoy it, so I'm giving it 5 stars! And server was very nice.
