    Matcha Macha Latte

Great coffee! I got a matcha Macha Latte with lavender. They knew what questions to ask when ordering and were very quick. Drink could've been hotter though.

The biggest downside is the lack of outdoor seating, 1 small table for 2. However, there are many upsides to this camper themed cafe. Now that I think of it, there are many pros and cons. The cashier and the signage are welcoming. They seem to be community minded. The camping theme and decor is on point but then there is randomly a display wall of album covers. Wide variety of drink options. Many INDOOR seating options. The coffee is good but my latte wasn't particularly hot and though I asked for my husband's espresso to be made after my latte, so he doesn't finish his little espresso before I get mine, it wasn't. There is drive-thru and one can order and they'll bring your drink to you. Adequate parking in the lot. No place is perfect but this place is pretty darn good.

Super cute interior, great options for food and drink, amazing service! I ended up getting a Camper in the Woods latte (spiced brown sugar, vanilla, lots of deliciousness). The cold brew with mocha flavor was also good (I'm just not a cold brew person). They serve Sunergos coffee too. Definitely check them out if you can!

I was meeting some folks over in New Albany and to avoid traversing the bridges at rush hour, I decided to go over the river early and find somewhere to sip some coffee and read a book and work on my bullet journal. I asked my fellow elite Javier O for a recommendation and he point me in the direction of Kolkin. He did not steer me wrong! Kolkin is a charming little coffee shop in a strip mall sort of set up. Not much to look at from the outside, but cozy and welcoming inside. While I was there, I felt a little old and a little odd. Just that, by virtue of the time I was there, there were also a lot of students and IUS folks there. It was very busy and I had to sit right next to the door. And it also seemed like every single person knew every single other person in there by name...except me. So I felt a little out of place. But also...that didn't matter. My intention was to drink a coffee drink and sit by myself and do coffee shop things. Mission accomplished! I got the salted caramel latte. And y'all...it was so damn good! It wasn't cheap, but it was so good I almost went up to get a second one after I finished mine! But I am watching my waist and my wallet and that would have just been too much! The staff was super friendly as well, and the space and restroom were clean. I would gladly come back here for a cup of joe if I found myself on the Indiana side of the river!

I had a meeting in the New Albany area earlier this week, and afterward I thought it would be great to check out a new (to me) coffee shop in this area of town. So I was excited to see Kolkin Coffee come up on my Yelp search! I had been meaning to check it out for awhile, ever since seeing other great reviews of it. And I can say that reality matched my expectations. This is a comfy coffee spot, with a bit of an adventurous vibe. Kayaks hang on one wall, and there is an inspirational quote with a pic of a kayak on another wall. (Methinks the owner likes kayaks.) Kolkin serves Sunergos Coffee -- points for staying local -- so the coffee was as good and consistent as other Sunergos cups I've gotten. I also got an everything bagel and cream cheese to munch on. There's a toaster by the creamer and other drink add-ons, so you can toast your bagels to your preference. This coffee spot offers a variety of seating options. I opted for the comfy leather couch in the back. There are also long, plastic folding tables to spread out on and some two-tops. This also seems like a spot where you could get some serious work done. Most of the people in the shop when I was there were deep into their books or laptops. Kolkin provides its wifi password at the register -- another plus. And the wifi seemed fast and reliable. This is definitely a solid coffee option, especially if you are in search of a place to spend a few hours working or reading.

Kolkin has become my go-to weekend coffee shop when we need an early morning jump start. It is local, convenient and the flavor of the product is excellent! The shop is set in a strip mall, but the inside would make you think it is an old home. Rustic, with a fire in the corner, and kayaks hanging on the walls. Fireside seating on a couple of couches is available, but mostly it is pub-style and 4 chairs around regular tables. If you don't feel like coming in, there's a drive-thru as well. They serve and sell Sunergos beans and offer equipment for home brewing as well. Pricing is pretty standard for quality coffee, though wait times have seemed a little long. The menu is straightforward with daily specials and a nice variety. Overall, an excellent choice!

Awesome accent wall in the bathroom!

Freaking awesome place! Southern Indiana never ceases to amaze me! I came here on a Wednesday afternoon around 4 and it was sparse. The baristas were extremely personable and chill. They seem to have regulars here, which I love observing. The menu is pretty simple with not a ton of specialty drinks, but I'm not about that anyway. They did have some matcha drink options which I thought was interesting. I'd totally go back and try those though. I ordered a standard iced coffee with almond milk which is usually my go-to in measuring whether a coffee shop is worth my time and money. It was stronger than expected, but not weak. It's not as intense as other iced coffees I've had, but I liked it. They had a camping theme going on throughout the whole place, from a kayak hanging on the wall, wood tables with lanterns on the table, and even a cool accent wall in the bathroom made with wooden boards. Talk about awesome, my dude!!

I cannot say enough good things about this family owned coffee shop. The owner and his family really want to know their customers. They make you feel welcomed and enjoy chatting with you. They serve sunergos coffee as well. My husband and I have stopped by on Sunday's for their study hall. They have music nights, Mommy and Me coffee/tea,wine tasting, Coffee University, and even offer kayaking trips. They don't mind my unusual requests. It's an absolute pleasure to stop by here. And if you go thru the drive thru bring your dog and order a pup cup for your pooch.

    Tis the season

Our family loves Kolkin since it's opening! The owners are amazing and community oriented! I love their coffee selection, loose leaf teas and delicious pastries! The coffee shop's ambiance is cozy, clean and brings your love of outdoors. The kayaks on the wall brings a character to it. Kolkin is the place to be!

The coffee here truly delivers. They have lots of offer. Now the matcha that they offer is not sugar free and they have no choices for it. It's a premade mix. But sometimes it doesn't bother me. Heading in, the ordering is straightforward as well with an easy to use menu board outlining their signature flavors, a pastry/grazing case to the right and order pick up to the left. Service is quick and friendly. The transaction easy. I was a little disappointed that my coffees weren't marked with what was in them, only my name and how many there were (two facts that probably help the baristas, but I already know both of those things and telling me which is mine and which is my partner's would be better use of sharpie ink). The coffee also wasn't very hot. It was warm, easy to drink and flavorful, but would have been tough if I'd had a long drive. There are plenty of outlets in the gray-painted interior of the building to charge your devices. There's also outdoor seating, but the view and traffic noise can't be all that desirable. Overall, I'm pretty happy.
