Loved stopping by to see the bookstore and grab a coffee. It's been on my bucket list and I understand why folks come to hang out alone or with others. They offer a back patio as well. We loved the pop tart pastry, which is from Wiltshire Pantry. They have a limited food menu alongside their coffee and cocktail options. I purchased a vanilla lavender iced latte. The large was $10.50 and sadly the cup size didn't even come close to justifying the cost. I'll opt for a simpler coffee next visit. Seating can go quickly on a busy day. At times folks had to browse the books before finding a spot to settle in. The decor is cute; however, I wouldn't describe it as comfortable, especially the couches. The temp inside was uncomfortably cold today too and we decided to cut our stay short to visit another space and continue conversation. Street parking is easy to find. Love the early to late hours. Service was quick and attentive.

I have heard and read about Nook and Nowhere. It now occupies the former Trouble Bar (A bar I truly miss) . I believe it's the same owners who turned this into a Coffee/Bar/Bookshop. I came here with my friend for Books And Brews for LFPL (IYKYK). We both ordered a mocha latte my friend got hot and I got iced. The ambience from what other reviews say is delightful. A few tables and sofas to sit on. There is no seating at the bar like there was when it was Trouble Bar. We both enjoyed our drinks and looked at some of the books they had. We are not big book readers but, the selection was rather interesting. I think this place is 21 and up, I'm not sure. We didn't see any kids let alone children's books so if you have kids, may want to check first. We actually liked this place and anticipate a return. We may come back for the cocktails that we didn't try this visit. We loved the mocha lattes though.

Came for Indie Bookstore Day and had a wonderful time. they have a small, curated selection of books as well as coffee and drinks. Not too much seating inside but what did did have looked very cozy

Cute coffee shop/bookstore! I've been following them on IG for a while, so I made a point to stop in when I was in Louisville visiting friends. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I was glad to see some non coffee options on the menu. My caramel apple cider was delicious. There's a great variety of books to choose from as well as very cute merchandise. The seating area appeared very cozy. I saw people working on laptops, families and others who were simply enjoying their coffee. Unfortunately there was no seating available on the day I stopped in so I took my drink to go. Hopefully on my next visit, I'll be able to sit and stay a while.

This place is *perfect* on weekday nights, around 730 pm or so, because it is quiet. Well, it was raining the night I went, so that might have contributed. It was the perfect space to work on a monologue and sip on a delicious sugar-free latte. They do have some exotic flavors; blueberry latte? Nutella latte? I haven't tried these. Their selection of books is not huge, but they have 8-10 tables and a few couches, a coat rack which is appreciated, and some very sweet bookends, foxes, owls, etc. I think they have some very cool events too...

Dropped by for a quick pick me up beverage. This place is a coffee spot, book store (?), and bar all under one roof. If I were in the area for longer or lived here, this is definitely one of the spots I would love to hang out at. Just a really cool space and they offer everything that I like lol. But since I was trying to get over jet lag and just coming through, I got my iced Blueberry Almond Latte and that was it for this visit. If I find myself in the area in the future, I'm hoping to come here again.

This is one of the coziest cutest spots for coffee, tea, cocktails, wine, and a small selection of books. I've had the hot cider and amazing wine here. They have a lounge type set up inside which is great for working or reading. They also do popup events like build your own bouquet, wine tasting, and crafts. Limited food options and street parking only.

Nook & Nowhere is such a delight! I was so sad to see Trouble Bar go, but a cafe/bar/bookstore with a flair for socially progressive and thought provoking books? Yes please! I first attended its opening some months ago hosted specifically for book clubs (genius idea!) and then again last week with my book club for our monthly meeting. We were able to get a table on the patio, and considering we arrived when the wine was on sale, everyone in our group seemed very happy. There's a bar where you can order coffee, wine or cocktails, which is a nice touch. And the inside includes several nice seating areas for big and small groups as well as some tables and shelves of expertly curated books. This isn't so much a bookstore to go to to find the latest best seller, but more to peruse and let your eyes do the selecting. It's fun to come away with a book you didn't know you wanted until you found it. Please support Nook & Nowhere so Louisville can keep such special spaces!

I never want this place to go away. It is completely gorgeous inside with lots of pink accents. Soooo girlie, and I love it. It's a bookstore meets bar meets coffee shop. A perfect smattering of all the necessities. On this occasion, I got a cortado, and while it wasn't quite hot enough, it was only $3 so I dealt with it. The cocktail menu is tantalizing, and the espresso martini is on my list to try next visit. The interior seating area is so classy and chill, you could spend hours writing, reading or working. I wish there were some gluten-free food options but maybe in the future. I'm excited to sit out on the patio in cooler months, as it's very cozy and pretty out there. My only other request would be more small coffee tables near the pink couch -- there was nowhere to put my coffee so I rested it on the couch itself, which was a dicey endeavor.

The iced vanilla latte with almond milk I got was so good I forgot to take a picture! What an awesome spot to grab and drink and a book. It's hard to capture the environment into words, you must experience it for yourself. The furniture, lighting, staff, and menu provide everything you need to relax or crush some deadlines. They have wine nights and a beautiful patio that would pair nice with a glass. Every inch of this place just felt safe, local shops like this just matter. Try Nook and Nowhere for your next caffeine crusade.

Met a friend for cocktails this afternoon at Nook and Nowhere, formerly Trouble Bar. It's been converted into a bookstore/coffee and cocktail bar. Street parking is available on Shelby Street in front of the building. When we arrived it was a cozy environment. It's a smaller indoor space, with a few small tables, and couch seating area - as well as a table and shelf of books for sale. The menu is affixed to the wall and includes coffee drinks, wines and cocktails - it's a smaller menu and they were out of the prosecco when we were there. We opted for cocktails and I tried the margarita for $9. You order at the counter and then pickup your drinks when your name is called, like a coffee shop. They also have a few small items for snacks. The drinks were ready quickly and tasted very good - we also have the bread & butter for $5. It included 4 pieces of bread. There is also a small patio area in the back of the building I enjoyed the drinks - but had a quiet library type vibe so more of a niche place. I didn't get a chance to check out the books but there was a good amount to look through.

My friend and I had never been before the rebrand when they were called Trouble Bar. But when we heard they opened we had to stop by. Easy to find parallel parking. I found a spot almost right in front. Not always the case though as Perso is right across the street. It's a bookstore but they also have alcohol and coffee. Quite a number of folks came in just to browse at the book selection. My friend and I both sipped on wine. It's a nice vibe. Not loud. A couple of people were sitting and chatting while a few others were reading books. It's very chill in here and they played a good selection of R&B. I'd come back!

Love this books shop/coffee shop/bar in the Shelby Park neighborhood! I've visited a couple times and it's been great to see the book selection grow. This trip, I snagged the last lavender earl grey croissant and and matcha latter. Both were delicious! While seating is sparse, (this place gets busy!) I got a prime seat on a couch and spent a cozy hour reading! Nook & Nowhere is a wonderful addition to Louisville's local book store community! I can't wait to return for date night drinks and reading!

I walked in around 5:15pm on a monday night, with plans for a friend to join me around 5:30. The sign at the host station said to wait to be seated. So I waited. And waited. and waited... Folks walked in after me, waited for a bit and then sat themselves at the bar. But I did not want to sit at the bar, we wanted to sit at a table. The server seemed to be willfully ignoring me and avoiding my attempts at eye contact. The bartender was taking care of everyone at the bar as well as making drinks for the rest of the patrons too, he saw me eventually and was looking around for the server or (nonexistent?) host to help me out. The bartender ultimately told me that I could just seat myself wherever I wanted, so I did. There were maybe 3 table seated at this point, it was not that busy. Then it took yet another chunk of time (6 pages read in my book I never leave home without) before I got water and menus. I was frustrated but was looking forward to seeing my friend and was ready to make the most of it. All that said, I like the vibe of the space. The dark, cozy vibes. We came because we wanted cocktails and something to nosh on. And eventually we got that. We shared a flatebread and an Asian-inspired hushpuppy sort of situation. They were pretty tasty and nice to have with our cocktails. The cocktail list is longer than expected and with a lot of intriguing sounding offerings. The two I had were very tasty and delicious! I would maybe come back again and sit at the bar so a solo visit if I had a stretch of time and no rush. My overall memory of the visit is still about the over-long wait/being ignored for such a long time after entering.
