My son and I are trying different donut shops around Baton Rouge and we stopped here last weekend. This place will be added to our stops! Everything was delicious. They also sell burgers! I got the DCB burger and it was freaking amazing. They cook to order so it was fresh and hot. It was a decent sized burger as well. It could've been seasoned better but im not complaining. Baton Rouge has some wonderful donut places. This is definitely a decent choice. It has the BEST cinnamon twist I've ever had, the rest of the donuts were decent, but not my favorite. For starters I love that this location is right outside of my neighborhood. It's so easy to just pack the kids and go down the road. Customer service is 10/10. They are always very sweet and very quick as well. I come here almost every weekend and the place is very clean and I've never had any issues. If I'm by myself I always get a breakfast sandwich. The biscuits and the croissants are great. The bacon croissant is my absolutely favorite The kids LOVE the donuts from this place. We get regular, chocolate, sprinkles and donut holes. What a great idea! Donuts and Hamburgers. Who would go to a coffee shop for donuts? After today, I would and will go back again. The most elegant Donut shop we have ever been to. love the fact they have rooms where you can gather for a meeting or lunch. The owners are very nice and cordial. Had jazz music playing, felt like we were fine dining. The owner took time to explain menu items that we had questions about. We ordered the DC&B Special! Wow what a treat. One of the best hamburgers we have eaten. Juicy cooked to perfection and all the trimmings. Fries ame out in a little basket and were amazing. A lady sitting next to us told the owner, "my granddaughter wanted donuts, my grandson wanted a hamburger so we came here." This is a gem waiting to be found. Breakfast was good, and now I'm anxious to try lunch here, especially the Korean corn dogs (and burgers of course)! Our family stopped in to taste some donuts (and I'll admit, compare them to Mary Lee as is our typical Sunday morning pre-church fave), and I was quite impressed! DC&B shouldn't be compared to Mary Lee though as for one thing, and no offense to Mary Lee, there's no ambiance for eating at Mary Lee. DC&B transformed a bank into a sweet dining spot with at least two private dining rooms that I saw. One lady was in there having her breakfast and appeared to be remote working, which I thought was brilliant really. Anyway...huge menu to choose from besides all the goodies on display, such as breakfast burritos and donuts galore. We tried the chocolate donut holes, a pinecone donut, fruity pebbles donut, blueberry cake donut, and a bacon, egg, & cheese kolachi. All super yummy. I've also tried the breakfast burritos at work events and been impressed. I prefer protein for breakfast, so I love all the options here. Overall, I'm very impressed and hopeful for DC&B to stick around for many years to come. This place needs more attention! The service is good and the food is delicious. My favorite menu items are the Maple Bacon Egg & Cheese croissant, the boudin donut, and the old fashioned donut. I ordered the cheeseburger. I asked for extra American cheese. They must have used the smallest piece of cheese in all of Louisiana because I had to look hard to find it. It appeared to be cheddar and not American cheese. So, big disappointment there! If you want a nice cheesy American cheese burger then look to another restaurant because you will not find it here. Mmmmm, it has potential. Not much English spoken here so finding out what is on their many different burgers - is a challenge. Don't bother to ask "how it is dressed" because that is met with a blank stare. Also, beware the menu because there is a misprint showing the double burger to be 7.99 and it's not. The menu printing error didn't seem to faze them. IMO, they are desperately in need of a good English Speaker to answer customer questions and relay concerns. The burger was pretty good. It had to be remade as it was dressed completely wrong. Once corrected it was good. Also, they close at 1PM which is dumb considering a LOT of people go to lunch at noon. I'd say 2PM would be adequate - 2:30 even better. Looks like there are 2 semi private rooms in which to eat. This is a former bank building. I wonder if a lunch meeting might be good here. Maybe a shade on those room windows? Not sure how that drive thru works, lol. Stuff the food in a tube and convey pneumatically? 7/26/24 Update Hours are still listed as closing at 1PM. Ridiculous for a Restaurant serving Lunch to Close at 1PM It's 12:15 and I'm getting away from my desk right now.
