The Coffee Lodge is an upscale coffee lunch and pastry shop in downtown Plymouth. I stopped by for a smoothie, but there were no sugar-free smoothies so I opted for a savory scone. There were a number of pastry options that are made in house or at their sister location. The clerks are friendly and helpful. The dining room is comfy with tables suitable for working. The roasted tomato and cheese scone was delicious and filling. It was served warm on a real plate. They sell fresh breads (reasonably priced), pastries, oils, locally roasted coffee and other coffee related items. The bread looked really good and I was kicking myself for not picking up a loaf. Parking is tight around the building, but available during my visit. I definitely stop back by and try a lunch sandwich. read more

Terrible service, I have lived in Plymouth for 6 years. I tried this place once several years ago. The service and food were not good at all. So I decided to give it a second chance. I went in and waited in line. When it was my turn a gentleman walked in behind me. He stood very close, breathing heavily. The owner completely ignored me and took his order. I have never been completely disrespected like that by a business owner. I walked out and will never give this business another chance. If you cant show a paying customer the respect they deserve. You don't deserve to be in business at all. There are many options for way better coffee and donuts in Plymouth. But if bad service is your thing, this place is for you. Infact, it will probably be your favorite because their service is by far among the worse anywhere. read more

I wanted to like this local owned " Ma and Pa" spot. The salad was boring and disappointing. It did have fresh regular lettuce on it. The service was fairly quick. I only waited about 5 minutes for my salad and drink. The ambiance is okay. Nothing stood out to me there. Cute little coffee shop in Plymouth proper. They don't have much competition beyond a Starbucks inside of Martin's (a Marbucks, if you will), and I'm not sure that even counts as competition. Cozy inside with an excellent selection of bakery items from Fingerhut Bakery. Coffee was good (just brewed coffee; nothing fancy). The baristas were incredibly friendly and kind. Glad we found this little respite in town -- it will be perfect when we're visiting the in-laws and need a break! read more

I've come here a couple of times throughout the time they've been open. Granted, I know the owners cause they're my husband's family who owns it. So, that being said and being as unbiased as possible, it's a really great coffee shop in Plymouth. I like that they sell other's baked items and promote other local business such as South Bend Chocolate Factory. The prices seem right for this area. There is ample space to chill with friends or get work done. It wasn't noisy at all, so that's helpful when working. I've only had beverages and a baked item, but the other food options seem simple but good based on description. My wife and I had the Coffee Lodge cater our wedding reception. They did a fantastic job. They were extremely professional and very reasonable with their rate. Everyone loved the coffee so much so that we had a continuous line through our cocktail hour. Arielle even stayed late to make sure that everyone had their fill of coffee. Not sure why I have waited so long to post a review. ABSOLUTLEY adore this place. Besides their fine drinks I'm not sure too many people are aware of their unique menu. Just to give a little Insite; today I had a rather impressive concoction which consisted of Turkey sausage, egg white, American cheese, avocado and tomato on Naan Bread. We went there around 11:30am on a Saturday. There was ONE person in line in front of us and like 4 girls behind the counter. NO ONE greeted us or the person in front of us, no one bothered to help us. The girls were too busy behind the counter giggling. The one person in front of us ended up leaving after almost 10 min of being ignored. We continued to wait as a line grew behind us. Then a girl FINALLY comes to help and starts chatting with the people that came in last in the line and then offers to help them. After a minute they told her we were first but we had already been completely ignored for over 10 minutes. The girls was like "oh, were you next?" She was so busy hanging out and giggling she didn't even notice people were there waiting so long. We just said "forget it, no" and walked out. This was our first and LAST visit. Ridiculous! And the other 3 girls behind the counter never did seem to accomplish anything in that whole time. There is not a single coffee on their menu that should take more than a minute or two to make. I'm at Coffee Lodge at least once a week. It's a great place to meet up with friends an run into good people. They do great with getting flavors in frequently. Today I had a roasted chestnut and gingerbread latte. YUM!! I appreciate that the coffee isn't acidic like many chain coffee shops. I recently mentioned in passing that I really like the coffee better than other places. The owner was behind the counter at the time and said that the roaster they get beans from modeled their roaster machine (made by an Amish man) after a 100 year old roasting machine. I thought that was cool! They also have a coffee cart that can be rented for catering events. My sister rented it once for her graduation party. It was a huge hit. read more

Seems like a lot of locals have rated this place. I have been away for awhile and am visiting for the blueberry festival. In terms of customer service I would say that it is very poor. Requested the biscuits and gravy and it was available until 11am it was 1059 and the girl just kind of laughed and said that breakfast no longer served. Also I said I wanted a coffee and was asked if I would like the refill kind or regular. I asked what the difference was and again the girl kind of laughed since I didn't know the difference. I would recommend to stick to opies downtown or Starbucks because you won't get comped an attitude with your order. Also a lot of older folks. After the Dutch Maid bakery in town closed and became a Mexican grocery, we were crushed. Well, the Coffee Lodge opened and became a welcome addition to that side of town. The decor and atmosphere make it a great place to hang out. Not to mention the fast Wi-Fi. They have a good food menu as well. I am quite picky about my donuts and think the Coffee Lodge has the best pastries in Plymouth. The staff is friendly and are very patient while you decide. The only downfall would be parking is cramped. I hope one day they could build on and make more seating and parking. It seems to a popular hangout with the high schoolers which I found out one day around around 3:30pm. read more
