I love coming here. Very homemade style. Food can take long sometimes but it's made to fresh and it's always busy here. I don't think I've gotten anything that was bad. Love this place - been going here for years. Never had a bad meal. The food is cooked to order, the servers are attentive. There is nothing as good as a Coffee House Breakfast. Skip Awful Waffle across the way and come here for local flavor. Personal fav is the breakfast sandwich on a muffin and hashbrowns. Endless never empty coffee! Don't forget to ask for apple butter. So my family and I are in town to visiting family. My husband and I decided to stop in and get breakfast. We walked in and no said anything to us. Initially I thought they were super busy and I would give the waitresses enough time to get to us. They finished serving their customers and cashed them out. At one point, the waitress and I made eye contact and she said not a word. We walked out and went across the street to the Waffle House. We enjoyed our Waffle House Breakfast. I've been coming here for years when the management was a guy. Now the owners are ladies and they are always so happy, playful, funny and attentive. The food is great with a bit of island flavor. They have a dish called "loco moco" and is popular in Hawaii culture. You can request rice instead of fries. Lol. When they are busy there maybe a slight wait but they'll get to you I promise. It really feels like home. I recommend this place to people all the time and bring friends there when they visit. read more

I live just a couple blocks away from this spot. It's right across the street from Waffle house, so if youre looking for a delicious breakfast COME HERE INSTEAD! They have a cute homey atmosphere. If you come here during a crowded time, ie saturday or sunday morning, expect a slight wait for a table as there isnt too much available seating. My husband is all about the Big T omelette which is basically an omelette with everything in it, then smothered with white gravy. I like to get the steak and cheese omelette, but then ask to add mushrooms. And to add white gravy. And I substitute my toast for a biscuit cause then I can be a fatty and mix it all together and then I have an amazingly huge delicious fluffy omelette and biscuits and gravy all in one plate! The omelettes are HUGE. Prices are good. Hubby and I have never paid more than $20 for the both of us even with all my substitutions. The couple of downsides though are that they are cash only, and sometimes there can be a wait before you get your food. But the staff is sweet and friendly and the food is good and definitely worth any wait you may encounter. :) Give this place a try. read more

Great down home cooking by good local folks. They knew how to cook so when you order eggs over medium... that's how you get them. I typically only eat breakfast and save dinner for family time at home. But their breakfast are wonderful. Be sure to bring cash, because they don't take cards. Came here with a group of friends. Its has such a cute hometown diner atmosphere. I ordered eggs with bacon, home fries, and toast. Eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered. Everything was great. My friend ordered pancakes and they looked marvelous. Might as well come here instead of waffle house or IHOP. I am excited to bring my husband here now. After reading the amazing reviews we decided to check out this little spot. When we walked in we sat ourselves right away and got drinks and ordered food. It was slightly busy, but manageable. We ordered an omelette and a 3 egg breakfast, our food took an hour and a half to come out. My husbands "all the way" hash browns came out with nothing on them, and his 3 egg breakfast had 2 eggs. Not only that, the cook girl was screaming at her employees most of the time we were there, and the man behind the counter preparing food wasn't wearing gloves and touched his face multiple times then touched food without washing his hands. Not sure if the joint was just having a bad day, but I probably won't go back. read more

Very nice friendly place with delicious food. Nothing crazy just a nice family owned place where they get to know their customers and make you feel at home. I had the loco moco which was great. My wife's Reuben was delicious as well and my son devoured his waffle so I assume that was good to. All for around 20 bucks which really surprised us. Definitely coming here again. The staffs so friendly that the customers are even friendly to each other as well. Waitress was polite and attentive, never let our drinks stay empty. I recently ate there after seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews. However, I was disturbed at the lack of cleanliness and adherence to health codes. None of the cooks wear hairnets or gloves. Also, the prep cook at the toast/waffle/pancake area frequently ran his bare fingers through his sweaty, shaggy hair and then continued to touch food without washing or putting gloves on. At one point his apron fell on the ground, he continued to work and actually stepped on it a few times. It wasn't until his coworker told him to pick it up that they he did and put it back on. He continued to wipe his hands across the dirty apron that was on the floor and stepped on repeatedly by the individual. Not sure why people rave about this place but I highly encourage the management take a hard look at their employees behavior. read more

I have been to this place multiple times throughout my visits to Niceville, FL starting in 2009. This restaurant has had amazing food and genuine people since that day. The food here is comparable to a Waffle House (which is across the road). That isn't bad as long as you understand that going in on the deal. What's bad is the wait. It's absolutely ridiculous. The restaurant has limited seating, but that isn't what makes it slow. The kitchen staff moves like pond water, and the waitress mumbled under her breath like Mutley the dog from Laugh Olympics. From the time I ordered until I received my food (a waffle and two pieces of sausage) more than an hour had passed. More than an hour. There is no excuse for an hour wait anywhere on Earth. A man who came in 30 minutes after I did sat down, ordered, got his food, ate it, and left before my order started getting cooked. My suggestion to those who want to eat here is determine how much time you have, spend half of it walking on hot coals, and the other half looking for a McDonald's drive thru. You would be much happier in the end. If I could give this pit a lower score, I would. I would rather eat glass than experience this again. read more
