I met a friend here for lunch today . We have heard about this eatery and decided to try it out . We like to support local businesses . I had the chicken caprese sandwich and my friend had the chicken salad on croissant . They were both amazing . The caprese sandwich was so tasty and the chicken was nice and juicy . The honey balsamic added just the right amount of sweetness. The chicken salad was flavorful with grapes and nuts it all worked well together . The only complain was the croissant was hard to bite . Overall the food was delicious. Our server was nice and attentive and kept our drinks full. We will definitely be back and I hope to get back for dinner one evening . Wow... big surprise! My first time here.. heard through the grapevine this place was great and very affordable for the quality of dining. They did not disappoint. Had such a great experience at PB&J Bistro today! I ordered the BLT with a side salad topped with goat cheese and their citrus dressing, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. The dressing had just the right balance and really made the salad stand out. My sister got the chicken salad sandwich with fruit, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Something like a five for not only the most wonderfully personable service and experience but for just how how much local pride they have in farm to table. PB&J was recommended by my cousin who lives nearby and does them often enough and also suggested we make dinner reservations which I thought was funny but turned out to be useful. We got to pick our table, all of the nicer more private booths were booked up. And on the day, sadly, our table neighbor was a bit of a baudy baffoon and we could completely unfortunately overhear everything he was carrying on about as if he were there to impress me very specifically. Was awkward and funny and entertaining and offputting all at the same time. I found the food for all the energy and effort and pedigree to be somewhat pedestrian with a whole lot of unnecessary greens but that's just me bothered by a bad experience. I did enjoy the crazy dessert cookies the next day for lunch. Should also say, my burger was cooked exactly to order (devoid of any carryover) which is somehow in a multitude of recent culinary experiences a very difficult thing to do. Burger was Great. We came to your restaurant tonight for my wife's birthday and it was the worst food we have ever had. She had the pork chop with mashed potatoes, I had the ribeye steak. Hers came out in a bowl and looked like soup, mine came out and looked and tasted like charcoal. The waitress came by and said that my wife's pork chop just had a lot of as jus and that if we wanted next time to ask for it less soupy. The cook came out and I say cook because he couldn't have been a chef. He apologized to a group of kids for something to do with all the hamburgers they ordered, talked to some girls he knew, but didn't even give us a second look. That is 160.00 I won't get back. I wish we would have gone sooner!!!! If you haven't been here yet, you are truly missing out!! After trying it for the first time a few weeks ago...we were so impressed we just made dinner reservations for the 4th time!! Between what we order and sharing bites with friends we have tried just about every entrée on the menu. There is nothing that we have tried that we haven't LOVED!!! My husband has the filet mignon, he said it was better than steak he had paid 3 times as much for!!! He can't have gluten, the staff went out of their way to give him options and make suggestions on gluten free items. If you haven't a chance to go here, do NOT miss out! Went with 3 others and one had burger, 2 of us had the sweet potato gnocchi & 1 had scallops in pompadoro sauce over pasta. All the dishes were quite good, but other than the burger didn't come with any side. They were extra. Very disappointed in their wine. They only offered 1 type chardonnay & 1 cab. They offered more beers as they seem to be teamed up with 3rd Planet. The prices were reasonable but not inexpensive by any means. Probably a better lunch place, had more offerings. Service was good & quick. Personally I probably would not go back unless they had more wine offerings & maybe brought out some bread while you waited for the meal. read more

Dinner portions are very small for their very high prices. Pretty sure they want you to order an appetizer and a salad to fill up. We were a bit disappointed it was this way. The food was good though, just not enough and it was slow to come out of the kitchen. Will try again with a smaller party of people and maybe we could afford all the additions then to fill us up. Great service. Informed waitress. Able to describe menu items. Pork belly was good but the habanero mango sauce was too hot. Don't know what it is with restaurants these days that they think everything has to be super spicy. That's overwhelming to a lot of foods. My friend had the hamburger special and said it was really good. I had the ribeye steak which I ordered, medium, rare leaning towards the rare side. Steak was actually served medium well no pink at all. I did not send it back. I tasted it and it was flavorful and juicy so I went ahead and ate it but if I try that again, I will send it back the next time it was definitely overcooked. Steak was served with asparagus there was cooked perfectly and polenta, which was quite tasty. Thank you have a good night. The restaurant serves wine and beer, but does not have a liquor license apparently so they serve cocktails made with wine as the base. We didn't try those because it seemed like a waste of wine to mix it with a bunch of other stuff so we each had a couple of glasses of wine, which were OK.. i'm glad to have a new quality restaurant in Niceville and we will return and try something else read more

What a great restaurant! Jess (the 'J' of PB&J) greeted our party of six at the door and ushered us to the chef's table for an unforgettable dinner! We tried all three appetizers (they brought extra so we all could have a taste) and hands down the crab cakes were the overall favorite. Fo our main course we all tried different dishes. If you come here you will not be disappointed they have amazing lunch, the dinner is elegant, affordable, delicious. This has become a new lunchtime favorite of mine. I ate here first on my own and enjoyed it so much that I brought my coworker back as well. I had the Mediterranean style pita both times, which was tasty and met my vegetarian food preference. I also had the almond tea, which was good, but I probably wouldn't order it again as it was way too sweet. Many of the items are locally sourced, which I can appreciate. My coworker did have an issue where her chicken croissant sandwich had inedible tendon pieces left in it (choking hazard), which was disappointing. My husband decided to take me out for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We decided to try this new restaurant in town, PB&J's. I had heard about this restaurant on the Nextdoor App. I honestly wouldn't have known this was here if someone didn't post about it. I haven't seen anything about it anywhere else and don't usually drive up Partin Drive. I arrived expecting a fast-food type of restaurant. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find it is a sit-down restaurant with a classy ambiance. The dining area is small and was pretty full, but there were a couple of tables available when we arrived. I felt underdressed as I was wearing workout gear, but I got over it quickly. The owner, Jess ("the J of PB&J") =), was very pleasant and friendly and greeted us promptly upon arrival and seated us at a small table near the front. I was pleasantly surprised to see several vegetarian options on the menu as that is very hard to find on the east coast. They also do not have an age restriction on the kid's menu, which I love! Our waitress was sweet, friendly, and quirky. She made us feel right at home. She answered all of our questions on the menu. My husband ordered one of their special coffees and the BLT and requested to add grilled chicken to his sandwich, which they were happy to accommodate. I ordered the Quiero Queso (the grilled cheese) with a bag of potato chips. For chips they have Zapp's Louisiana Kettle Chips (either regular or BBQ flavor). Our food was cooked perfectly! Everything arrived as ordered and tasted wonderful! I couldn't finish all of my food, so I let my husband have the rest of my sandwich and he was amazed at how good a grilled cheese could taste. The garlic aioli and herb butter on the sandwiches really elevated the flavor. We both loved our meals and will definitely be back for more. I found myself craving that grilled cheese yesterday, but I didn't have a car. =( I highly recommend everyone check out and support this new restaurant! We were lucky to get a 530 reservation. Upon arrival, Jess, one of the owners, told me that had just opened and she has been turning folks away as they were full. We chatted about the decorations which I love..and how she was inspired. My daughter and I started with ricotta cheese spread with honey and crustini pieces. For dinner I had the braised short rib and my daughter ordered the pumpkin ravioli. Mine was very good. Flavorful and the right size portion. My daughter's dish? Outstanding, the ravioli, the pork belly. Perfect, I told the waitress that it almost hit every different taste bud and she said that's what the chef was going for, Some folks mentioned lack of seasoning ...I guess those dishes and their taste buds didn't work. One couple mentioned that and Jess gave them their choice of another dinner and offered them a drink. For dessert we ordered the blueberry crème brûlée. Again...delicious, My daughter said the meal was amazing. She and her sister come from a family of Italian cooks and hardly ever give a dish that review. Tonight it was easily earned. Absolutely delicious! Even though it is located in a food court, it was very clean and comfortable. Free refills on tea were brought without asking.
