Wow, so new ownership took over several months ago and everything great and charming is gone. No more handwritten menu on the wall - which gave it a very local, small business feel. Cheap printed ads are taped up everywhere for CBD and some kind of tropical supplement now. The staff is nice, but I haven't seen more than one person working there in a while. The space is very cozy, though seating is limited with only three small tables and one large one. When I visited, it was not crowded, so I was able to grab a spot and use the power outlets to work on my computer. The food was great, especially the grilled sandwich, which I highly recommend. They also offer signature drinks that were really good, along with a wide selection of other options. If you are in a hurry, the drive-through is very convenient. There is plenty of parking available, which makes visiting easy. The only note I would add is that the AC made the space feel a bit too cold. This is one of my favorite quick and easy coffee spots! The menu is huge and the monthly specials help keep it fun. Going inside is a calm seating area with lots of books on the walls and the plants have little name tags! The staff are always super nice and answer any questions. I usually go through the drive thru and the service is equally nice. The drive thru menu can be hard to understand but only because they keep adding new things and expanding! However, saw on Yelp that they may have changed their biscuits, wanted to give it a try still. I normally wait for a month to give a review, but this really is frustrating. From service to food. Note: I have been here since they opened (I'm literary neighbor, walking distance to get here) -- I witness the change of management, staff and server over the last 10 years. There were ups and downs, this is the worst. Got in, there was a customer in front of me, lady#1 took the order - 3-4 minutes probably. Then when it was my turn, she ask for a minute, I said "that's ok". While waiting for my turn, 3 things I already noticed: 1) The girl making drinks can't figure out how to make what ever that redbull/fruit mix (she's probably new, and that's ok, we learn things as we go). But here's the not acceptable thing -- she was giggling and laughing and had to tell the customer that she hasn't made that drink. Like mocking herself or the situation she's in. 2) Lady #2 came from outside after delivering a food (or drink probably), walked inside tried to fix her fitted sleeveless shirt fingers under arm area (trying to pull the sleeveless shirt up probably) with bare fingers -- that sounds ok, right? Here's the next thing: the Lady #1 who got the customers order infront of me asked the Lady#2 for the breakfast sandwich "PDX with only bacon on it". Lady #2 went to the kitchen took baked/cooked 3 bacon strips from a baking pan bare hands, and put it on another corner (where she made the sandwich). I put my head down and trying to control myself to not saying anything and just move on with my business. 3) The girl employee was busted for something, she probably didn't know what to do or probably they realize she had been making mistakes. Though I feel bad for the girl, I wanted to tell her "calm down, there's only one more car in the drive through, Lady#1 is making order for the current drive through customer, Lady#2 is making the order that was infront of me. Take my order instead of standing there". I wish I had said it, but I don't want her to get in trouble more. So she took my order, I said "small cappuccino and a Jill, I'd like the cappuccino in a mug please since I'm gonna sit here and eat." She asked if I wanted Jill on a muffin, biscuit or crossaint (? I really don't remember the 3rd thing she said). To which I responded "a biscuit please, thank you!" I paid and left the counter. She started grabbing a cup and writing cappuccino, I stop her and reminded her gently "a mug please, I'm sitting and eating here". She responded by saying "oh sorry, I forgot" and returned the cup and trying to find a mug at the back. She then just asked Lady#2 to make cappuccino in a mug. The girl who took my order shouted "Jill please" (towards the kitchen, Lady#1 was there) before taking the next customer order. Lady #1 asked "on a muffin?", the girl responded "ahh yes, a muffin". I heard it and told her "a biscuit please". She then again said "oh sorry sorry", and told Lady#2 biscuit. While the cappuccino is good (hence the 2 star) just look at the Jill breakfast sandwich, it's also not the same taste like before, no more of that caramelized onion and egg is over cooked. The biscuit bread falls crumbling while I eat. I won't be making my regular rounds here for a while, I'll wait for it to get better again. read more

I had passed by this place for years, but a friend from Hillsboro picked it out as a meeting place. It's tiny and ADORABLE. I went back today, and I had the latte of my dreams with sugar-free brown sugar (ha!) cinnamon syrup with Longbottom coffee. I have to have sugar-free these days, and they have one of the widest selections available and listed on a menu for review. There are only a few seats, and today I got the cushy armchair in the corner. I had to use the restroom today, and there are two roomy and clean ones in a hallway through a door. We came here for some quick breakfast and coffee. Everything was served quickly. They forgot my oatmeal but was very apologetic about it. I think the coffee was decent, however the biscuit sandwich was the bomb! It was fluffy, soft and delicious! I'd recommend their biscuit sandwich and will come back if I crave some! read more

I live in the neighborhood and have been to the Coffee Station many times over the years. I won't go again. The last few times I've gone, the coffee has been nearly undrinkable. My last drink had to be fixed at home. I ordered an iced Americano with cream and got a hot coffee with no cream and no space for it. It tasted like the sour brewed coffee you would get at Black Bear or Elmers. The time before that, I ordered the same thing and got the weakest coffee I've ever tasted. It truly tasted like they reused grounds from the last pull. The cost was more than Black Rock, Human Bean, or Starbucks. Never again. read more

Tucked inside a grocery plaza I was dreading coming in Saturday morning around 10:30 because as I pulled in spots were already filling up, but the coffee shop had only about 2 customers already served. No wait which was great but after I ordered the rush started! From Yelp, I got the pdx sandwich and you can substitute the bread for a bagel or English muffin as well. With the yelp check in I got a $1 discount and the sandwich came out as soon as I sat down. With 3 employees the system of communication and speed worked great. The employee who was taking orders had an efficient system of getting all the food items first then the other would do the drinks. *update* Gave a 4 star rating but as I was leaving the employee who took my order asked how the sandwich was and was very courteous. It's the little things that stay with you. Bumping this to 5 For the sandwich itself, the egg was very thin and could not taste the garlic aioli. The bottom biscuit was sturdy to keep everything intact while the top one was breaking apart (in a good way) for the flakes! It does seem like prices went up a little bit but the drink prices seem spot on or cheaper than other coffee stores. This place is really close to where I live, so I stopped in today for a latte. I have some go-to places, but didn't feel like driving around. I ordered a small oat milk latte. I'm sad to report, it was seriously underwhelming. I wish it weren't so hard for find great coffee in close proximity to where I live. The "small" drink looked to probably be 12 oz. It was extremely milky and no espresso flavor. It also had a weird aftertaste. I didn't finish it. 10/10 would have rather gotten a latte at Starbucks, and I don't even like Sbux that much. This is probably the kind of place where people go to drink coffee-based drinks who don't actually like the taste of coffee. read more

This used to be our go to spot where we would get breakfast every weekend and share with friends and family when they visited. After being let down too many times we had to let this place go. I love Coffee Station but am annoyed to the point of bothering to write a review about a change to their rewards system. Previously, however many drinks you ordered stamps you got. Now, it's digital and there is a $10 minimum to receive any points at all. Points are then given according to amount spent, which I assume means food is now included. But when I come, and have been coming for years, I get A coffee which now apparently means nothing. It's the point of it that bothers me; it would feel better to have no reward program in place rather than essentially saying my purchase doesn't matter. Now, for a real review- I love Coffee Station! The "LGA" sandwich is awesome and I usually get "The Doodle", which is a house special latte with cinnamon and vanilla. I now get the "Honey Doodle" which is the same, but with honey, obv. The service and staff are always friendly in a not-over-the-top conversational way. The seating area (ambiance) is "smaller but cozy" with a good amount of plants around. read more

The shop still emanated the essence of those buttery delights though, and the super friendly lady at the counter advised fresh ones were being made, and the grill would be grilling till noon. My substitute, a berry scone, was big, moist, and subtly sweet, and while brought in by a local baker, rather than made in-house, the flavors and textures made it a winner. My dark mocha hit the spot as well, made just as ordered, with the barista showing her expertise by verbalizing a term for my temp preference that none of the other pros I've met over the last couple months could: "cold pour."
