This location is a cute little shake in a parking lot. Plenty of parking around. I was in town for a wedding and popped in for a latte to get through the day. I ordered the Lailani I believe. I had been working for a few hours and it got to the point that I really wanted a coffee. I didn't have time to stop and enjoy as I needed to get home. I've been to Piper's Cafe several times and it's one of my favorite coffees. While I was driving home, I noticed Piper's coffee stand conveniently located on TV highway. I live in Portland, but I happened to be on this side of town picking up an item for my house from Facebook marketplace. I always like to support a local coffee place versus a chain so I googled and found this nice drive-through coffee spot. The coffee and the bagel that she gave me were both so good. I had an iced Americano with hazelnut and a little bit of cream, and I hate when they put too much cream in my coffee, but she made it perfect. She gave me this like cheesy bagel with cream cheese, and the way that they cut it into little pieces. It was so good. I'm gonna be thinking about that bagel for a while. Such a convenient, cute, fairly priced coffee stand! Their drinks are so unique because of the natural flavors and ingredients that most shops don't bother using! I do appreciate the unique flavors of the drinks I had, but they did throw me off a little bit as I'm more used to sugary syrups from average coffee stands. What a gem of a coffee shop, hidden on the edge of TV Hwy and 185th it is worth the stop so pull in and get some. You can drive thru or get out and visit. Honestly, I can't believe I have never seen this place before. Thankfully Thorton Coffee Roasters who Piper gets her beans from had posted recently about her place. The drink selection is very nontraditional and very creative with attention paid to the good clean quality ingredients for your coffee drink vs those standard sugary syrups most places use. We watch out sugar intake and the options she has are hands down great. Check out her Instagram account "PipersPerks" for the Winter Menu, some cool drinks are listed that I will be visiting again to try it out. I Picked up a few drinks today a Maple Latte w/ Oat Milk and a couple of Dark Honey Mochas. Absolutely not disappointed at all, enjoyed it to the last drop. These drinks are wonderfully delicious and "yummy" per my wife and "like pancakes in a cup" per my son's girlfriend. Piper greeted me when I arrived, we had a nice conversation while she made my drinks. I learned she bought the cart when she was 19, over 8 years ago and has plans to open a brick-and-mortar next door in the mall so she can have a sit-down location too. The stand is very warm and inviting you just have to know it is there. If you are in the area, consider going here to support a local business, you will not be sorry you did. Working from home can get really claustrophobic at times, especially when you feel overworked and overwhelmed. Today was one of those days, so we went on a walking quest to find a coffee shop to take a much needed mental break. That's when we found Pipers Perks. It's nearby and has great reviews, so off we went! It is a small drive-thru coffee stand in the BIG LOTS parking lot. On the other side, there is a walk-up window and a small table for people like us this morning. Piper's Perks offers several alternative milk and sweetener options as well as CBD and other boosters for their drinks. We are boring, so we just ordered a cappuccino and a double Americano. Both were very good and they must use mellower roasts of coffee because both drinks were smooth. The solo Barista was very helpful, she offered my boyfriend a dryness/wetness option for his cappuccino, which doesn't always happen. She also offered me an extra shot for my Americano. Overall, we are happy we found Piper's Perk and we will return whenever we need a coffee break! read more

Their hours are all over the place. Google says they open at 7am, their IG says 8am, their FB says 7:30am, Yelp says 6am. But the universe wanted me to have great coffee, & omg... that is exactly what I got. Ordered a 16oz lavender oat milk latte & a 12oz cardamom oat milk latte (hehe... my favorite). What a happy accident! My husband accidentally passed the coffee shop we were intending to go to, and stumbled upon this place instead. What a great find. Alex the barista was super sweet and friendly, and the Lavender Mocha was delicious. My only small gripe is the coffee could have been a little hotter. That I side everything was excellent. It is a place you could drive by dozens of times and never see. It is in the parking lot of Big Lots but it is just a tiny coffee stand, so if you aren't looking for it you can easily drive right by it. read more

I found this place two ways. The first was through Thornton's coffee (Pipers serves them) and the second through the Westside Coalition gift pack. I got two drinks, an Americano and a Latte with one pump Vanilla. The americano was great! Smooth, you could taste the coffee, and the bold flavors. My only critique would be how much vanilla was used, a little sweet for my taste. Loves the family/small business vibes coming from this place. For hot drinks I like a cardamom latte or a Piper's signature caramel-haze. For cold drinks, an iced honey latte is pretty yummy, or an iced americano (ask about their beans if you like your drinks super strong!). They also do ice blended drinks too; ask about their cacao blueberry smoothies with either cold-brew or espresso add-in! The location is open 8am-3pm everyday. Everyone I've encountered who works here is so pleasant and the drinks are higher quality and tasty. They use locally based Thornton coffee, Tanglewood, and Holy Kakow, for instance, which is fantastic. The reason it's hard to rate higher than this right now though is that so many times, we've come by during posted business hours and the place is closed--more often than not with no warning/update on social media, either. For a while, I was telling people about this spot but now I have to warn that it might not be open so don't go out of your way to stop in. I'm really rooting for Piper's Perks to succeed and grow (if that's what they want), but it's hard to patronize a business you can't count on being open. read more
