Cheese biscuit and chocolate croissant with 2 coffees
Marina Q.

Great place for a coffee in the morning or afternoon, to meet with friends or for a quick meeting. Lots of sizes of tables and different shapes and sizes of chairs... service is in the cashier, the team is very nice. We had a biscuit and a chocolate croissant. I love that the size of the pastries are very well served, and they're very flavorful too!!

I went to Insomnia Café and absolutely loved it! The coffee was really good -- I tried their drip coffee and also one with black coffee and a shot of foamed milk, and both were excellent. The flavors were rich and balanced, and you can tell they care about quality. The vibe of the café is amazing -- cozy, stylish, and relaxing. I really liked the furniture and the overall atmosphere; it's a great place to hang out or get some work done. The service was also wonderful -- friendly and attentive. Overall, 5/5! Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be coming back.

Headed over on a Friday morning and went straight up to the counter. The pastry options were lovely and I was so stoked to try the cheddar onion biscuit. They warmed it up and it was super moist. The gluten-free hand pie was savory and really tasty. They warmed that up too, which made it even better. I enjoyed the funky chairs!! Every single one was different, which was fun! Lots of people were working, but the noise level was totally manageable to get things done. Will be back!

Friendly and quick service when I stopped by to get an afternoon tea on a hot day. Super cute interior (just like the rest of the locations) and always appreciate taking a look at the community board to see what's happening in the area. I also love to see the continued support of local artists and I just had to buy this fun card because of how much I look forward to pumpkin season while I waited for my drink!

I was excited they were finally open so close to home. I met a friend here to go over some marketing strategies when I came up to order I was literally ignored for 5 minutes while the employee carried on a conversation to the side with her friends. This was my second order because I already had a muffin and Aztec mocha. I hope that the service gets better once they settle into the space. It's a great spot with lots of seating and a few seats outside to enjoy on a beautiful sunny day. The muffin I enjoyed was soft and squishy. Super fresh.

Iced chai with vanilla whipped cream

We love visiting this location! Friendly staff and lots of seating. I personally love their chai and my husband loves their iced white mocha!

Sausage & egg biscuit, hot cocoa, pumpkin scone, and latte.
Shelly G.

The sausage & egg biscuit is phenomenal with the warmth of the hot cocoa. I would definitely recommend this place to someone who wants good service, good breakfast, and who wants to work. The tables are perfectly crafted, and they play soft warm-hearting music that soothes your ears. If you order the hot cocoa, you get chocolate whipped cream instead of regular, which makes it so much better.

I love all Insomnia locations and I was so happy that this one opened up so close to me! Friendly and quick service, always delicious drinks and food!

The staff is always incredibly friendly and quick to take your order, which makes a morning stop so easy. Everything they make is handmade and delicious. I've tried both their sweet and savory options and haven't found a single fault; the savory scones and muffins are top-tier. I especially recommend the Maple Spiced Latte and the Raspberry Cream Cheese Danish (absolutely divine). I also have to give a special shoutout to the cinnamon rolls I picked up today. They were absolutely huge! Soft, perfectly spiced, and topped with plenty of frosting; they are a 10/10. It's also very reasonably priced for a small business, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. Whether you're stopping in for a quick treat or a coffee for the commute, this is definitely our new favorite local bakery!

This was my first time here. I am a VA client and frequent the clinic a block away from this…read morecoffee place. I have been looking for a decent breakfast/brunch place close by but so far no luck there. I am still recovering from renal failure so my mobility is severely limited. I travel mostly at the pleasure of the Veterans Transportation Service or Trimet Lyft. Today's Dr appointment finished up sooner than expected so I had some time to kill before the van returned to take me home. So I fired up my tablet and took a look on Yelp to see if there was anything of interest close by. Enter Insomnia Coffee. Lots of positive reviews. Right around the corner. So... off I go. I an a US Navy brownwater sailor. We drink coffee that tastes like coffee. No additives. None. Not even cream or (gasp) sugar. So when I told the barista [HA! The person who pours coffee into a cup] that i wanted a cup of coffee black I got this sort of deer in the headlights look. What? ...I'm sure she was thinking... no Madagascar cinnamon? no foaming goop? no stale crouton crumbs? no pumpkin pie spice? Ummmm seriously? People want their coffee to taste like pumpkin? Yikes. No Miss... just a cuppa Joe. Just like my first heart throb, Anna Mae Bullock....strong and black. And I have to say, insomnia delivered. Not a bad cup of coffee at all. Although I didn't really want to hang out there since it appeared that I had zero in common with anyone I saw there... hogging the comfortable looking chairs. So I had it in a paper cup, to go. Now I have a "thing" about drinking coffee from a large, ceramic mug.... I loathe tasting paper in my coffee and yes I can tell it's in a paper cup even blindfolded. but I digress. They did have a whole display area of decadent looking pastries and not the tiny, overpriced, bogus looking stuff you see at Starbucks. Not that i would ever go into a Starbucks even to use the rest room. They had several pies that made my mouth water and some gooey breakfast glazed things that would have seriously spiked my glucose. so I reluctantly passed. Perhaps next time :)

I'm mostly a latte girl but I still like the strong taste of coffee but I don't get that with their lattes. Imo, their coffee has a really bad aftertaste and isn't ground very well. Theres been a couple times where I have swallowed straight grounds. That isn't to say they don't have good stuff! I used to get their mango smoothie all the time. That and their pastries are my favorite. Plus it's always a nice place to relax and study. Esp on a nice day.

I stopped by Deadstock Coffee while visiting the area and immediately loved the concept. As someone who loves coffee but loves sneakers even more, this place felt right up my alley. The shop itself is decorated with basketball and sneaker culture, along with iconic sports moments that make the space feel unique without trying too hard. One thing that caught me off guard was that there wasn't a traditional menu posted. As a first-time visitor, I wasn't sure what coffee options, blends, or milk choices were available. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy, and the employee working was incredibly patient, friendly, and happy to walk me through everything. Customer service like that goes a long way. My drink was excellent, and the sneaker design printed on top of the coffee was such a cool touch. It's one of those little details that makes the experience memorable and fits perfectly with the brand. Whether you're a sneakerhead, a coffee lover, or both, Deadstock Coffee is worth checking out. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in the area.

I ordered a Luther Vandross (Lavender Latte), Breakfast burrito, and burger with fries since it was after 11am. The Lavender latte was really good, I asked for extra sweet and it was perfect. The breakfast burrito was also delicious. I added sausage, Guac, and mushrooms. It would've been a 10/10 if left off the mushrooms. The burger tasted precooked, not a lot of flavor, just ok. The fries were fresh and hot, and seasoned perfectly. Another good experience at this incredible sneaker-themed coffee shop not too far from Nike. Definitely go for the coffee, you'll love it.

It's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. Their lattes are just as impressive. I've tried both the ube coconut latte and the black sesame latte, each made with plant-based milk instead of regular milk. The ube coconut latte was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The black sesame latte, however, was the standout for me. It had a rich, nutty flavor and is hands-down my favorite of the two. I don't believe it's a regular menu item, so if you happen to see it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Loro is on the pricier side, which is why I don't visit as often as I'd like, but I genuinely think it's worth it. The quality of the food and drinks makes it feel like a special treat. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the parking. The café is tucked between apartments and other retail spaces, so street parking is your only option. I've had to circle the block several times before finding a spot, making it less convenient if you're driving. Parking aside, this is a charming neighborhood coffee shop that consistently serves flavorful food and thoughtfully crafted drinks. If you're looking to treat yourself to an exceptional breakfast sandwich and a beautifully made latte, Loro Coffee is well worth the visit.
