I was craving an ice tea and looked on Yelp for the nearest Boba Shop. Fantastea House on Murray popped up. It's a cute shop with many various varieties of Boba to try. I played safe and had a White Peach Green Tea off their Popular Board Menu. I was the only one in there because they had just opened and my tea came out in no time. It was good, but way too sweet for me. I ended up diluting it down with almost an entire 12 oz of bottled water that I had in the car. I guess I don't go to these shops often and was surprised that it was $7, now realizing that is the going rate for these teas. Best boba in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area (and I've tried almost all of them). I've come here 3-5 times by now and have loved it every time. Quick service and open much later than other boba shops. Variety of seating which allows for people to hang out or even work here. We love their taro and classic milk tea. 50% sugar and 50% ice is our go-to order. It's not too sweet. I'm someone who's not picky with my taro, but this one had a bit of a starchy taste that made me not want to finish it. I was really impressed at this tea house. Parking was easy and there were plenty of spaces available. The two guys who were working when I went were super cool and friendly. I got the jasmine tea with sea salt cream 50% sweet. They nailed it. The tea felt fresh and was not overly sweet. The cream mixed in with the tea made it even better. When we came there was only another group there. Our drinks came out super quick. There is also plenty of seating around the tea house. Definitely in my top 5 boba spots in PDX. Enough of a variety between hot, cold, milk teas, etc. Mango Green Tea is really good here. It doesn't taste strongly artificial like other places. Drinks come out pretty quick and there always seems to be a short line. There's some seating to sit and chat, but I hardly see anyone do that. They look fancy, However the teas were overly sweet. They did not mention any ability of reducing that sweetness. I would say if you decide to go here then do reduce your sweetness by atleast 25-50% to enjoy the boba tea. The 7$ single tea with single topping is expensive compared to average 5$ teas in the neighborhood. My daughter loves boba so we added this nearby establishment to our list of bobas shops to try. The location is convenient to our home, parking is ample as it is located in a strip mall off Murray Blvd and they even have late hours making it nice late night option (a rarity since COVID). I loved the variety of drink options. They have milk teas, lemonades, and slushes with so many tempting flavors. Additionally you can choose from jellies or boba(the round brown sugar tapioca). My daughter chose a strawberry coconut with rainbow jellies. It was a bit too sweet for me but there were other options to choose from and she loved it. When you move into an area, an absolute must to find, besides your local grocery and Chevron gas station would have to be a Boba Tea place. It didn't take long until I found my favorite Boba place. So far I've been here 3 times already and there's one phrase that best decribes Fantastea and that is "consistently delicious". I found the courage and went with Pina Cola today. Both options are easily marked in red/yellow marking on their menu. This one is a hit as well!! So far none of their teas have that artificial, chemical taste that tries too hard to mimic the real thing. The crystal boba that I just finished up in my drink has a nice, firm and chewy texture. It's not slimy or undercooked. Just right. When I asked for less sugar, the sweetness is perfect every time the crew makes it. It's easy to place your order and the menu is laid out on the table for you to make your selections. Paying for your drink is simple either by tap, swipe or cash. Their drinks plus the toppings put you over $7 but it's worth it. They also have a stamp card that gives you a free drink after 10 purchases. When my kids and I go it's 4 drinks every trip. The folks working there are very friendly and they bring your drinks out to you because of COVID. They have straws outside for you to take. If you're coming down SW Murray from Beaverton you can turn into the parking lot but if you're coming from the opposite direction like what I do, you need to take Davis Rd and circle around back. A fairly new bubble tea place has opened up in the Beaverton area. The options here are quite numerous along with the toppings making it hard to narrow it down. We ordered a handful of drinks. I had the yogurt butterfly pea flower tea. The presentation was aesthetically pleasing, however the drink was quite sweet, even when asked for the least amount of sweet possible. Our other drinks were also pretty sweet. I'm not sure if their tea base is set at a certain sweetness level? They are still in their soft opening phase, maybe they will make some adjustments later on. The customer service was definitely great and super friendly. The employee, Ronald I think, was super knowledgeable about all the drinks and tried explaining to us the flavor and tastes of certain toppings. Stopped by to order the regular milk tea and taro milk teas. These flavors are by far the best in class compared to other boba tea spots in Beaverton. The popcorn chicken is exceptional. Perfect tender juicy bites with a crunch layer seasoned for maximum taste. The pieces aren't tiny either, there's a good mix between small and large pieces of fried chicken.
