First time here and what a great find! This specific Lionheart location is nestled into a small shopping center. There's a bar, gym and Thai food spot nearby. When we first walked in the worker at the cash register was super friendly and very helpful because it was our first time. Had the blackberry lavender latte. It was very tasty and smooth. I would have given this place five stars, but they don't have any menus at all, not even a menu board on the wall. To see what they have you need to type in their long web address, navigate through some menus and then scroll on your phone. Usually when I visit a coffee shop, it's in the morning when I am tired and I go there to have the coffee wake me up. The last thing I want to do when I am first waking up is try to figure out how to access and navigate a website, just to order coffee. There is a reason why nearly all coffee shops have menus on the wall. Not having a menu seems to be a really bad idea. As my car got poked and prodded at BMW of Tigard I found this cutesy coffee shop to drink and eat and I guess work. Pulled up in the swanky loaner car and walked in to see Colleen and Zoey just bright eyed and smiles for days. As I told them my woes of my poor car I then explained this swanky car in which we had laughs and a brief tour lol. They got me. It was like instant friends! We went to Lionheart coffee on a Saturday morning so it was a decently busy time to be there. The line wasn't that long and the guy who took our order was super nice. It may be a personal pet peeve but this is yet another place that refuses to label their baked goods so you have to wait and ask what everything is before ordering, you can't make any decisions while in line. Even though it was decently busy we were able to get a table right away which I always appreciate. I got a muffin and a chai tea latte and both were fine but nothing amazing. I would even consider the tea a bit bland. One thing that I found annoying was that I ordered before my friend and they brought his drink over to our table directly and then called mine at the other end of the bar. I have no idea why the inconsistency but I wasn't really a fan. It had that nice semi busy but not overcrowded coffee shop feel and there was even a super cute dog there at one point. Overall, it won't hurt you to go here, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. read more

This is the kind of place I would describe as a mix of cute and Hipster - in short a very Portland Vibe. I was in the area and decided to get a caffeine fix. Parking is easy as this is located in a strip mall. The coffee shop is neat and clean with plenty of seating. This is also a good spot for studying or working as the seats are comfortable and there is plenty of natural light, however I did find it a little noisy or perhaps it was just a busy day . The display case had very little variety in terms of treats/baked goods but I picked a double chocolate chip along with my cappuccino . I didn't care much for the taste of the cold brew with the chocolate the used in my cold brew. I was hear visiting for a cousins wedding and my brother wanted some coffee. We are avoiding those more common places to go and wanted the more "Ma and Pa" sort of thing. We eventually found this place and gave it a try. The drink I got was recommended by our barista. It was an Iced Rose Vanilla Latte and it was delicious. I tasted the hint of rose and the flavors of vanilla helped add more sweetness to the drink. It was smooth and tasty and I throughly enjoyed my drink. Our barista was also cool and fun to talk to. Excellent coffee! I'm not going to lie, I have developed a bit of a chip on my shoulder about coffee in Beaverton, having had a lot of mediocre to bad experiences over the years. I live in inner NE PDX and am pretty spoiled for great coffee options in my own neighborhood. But with an active preteen child, I spend a LOT of time chauffeuring to extracurricular activities in Beaverton these days. Today I tried a no frills oatmilk latte at Lionheart on Scholls Ferry, and...wow. One of the best I've had. Power outlets available to the tables against the wall. The only issue i ran into was getting to wifi to connect to my devices (laptop and phone) so ended up using my own hotspot. I usually like my baristas on the meaner side, but only if that comes with good coffee, which is not the case here. I really love the rotating beans they have in bags, was especially excited when they had push pull. But the regular blend they use for their espresso here is pretty gross and the last time I went in it was particularly disgusting with leftover grinds floating in my latte. What compels me to leave this review is that I've given this place multiple chances and have never walked away feeling like I actually got a good drink. Most importantly, the last barista to serve me was pretty dismissive, rude when I tried to compliment her and just had the most awful vibe I've encountered in a long time, then proceeded to pull the worst shot I've had this year. I'd be willing to settle for bad coffee that's close to me if the service was good. Bummer read more

I'm not a coffee snob by any means and have been known to drive thru "Mickey D's" in an emergency but when you want to sit down with a REAL COFFEE CUP and savor the flavor of your brew, Lionheart fits that bill. I also tried a bagel with butter & cream cheese and it was OK. The Baristas, however, are friendly and knowledgeable and are happy to answer any and all of your coffee questions. Came here during their birthday celebration and spent the entire afternoon there. I was blown away by their coffee, staff, and the special guest donuts from artemisia bakery. I had my go to beverage: Cortado with oat milk and it we delectable & rich. You could thoroughly taste the subtle notes of the praline, cream, and chocolate that really shined through. The oat milk balanced it really well. I finished it in a heart beat and realized I needed to get a 2nd drink that I wouldn't guzzle down. I got an americano which was delightful, but I'd still recommend the Cortado hands down, especially if you're a black coffee drinker like moi. Parking was very simple since it's located in a lot, with plenty of tables and plugs to get work done. The lighting is also quite ambient so you can't get that dose of sunshine even while you're indoors. read more

I visited Portland a few weeks ago and everyone told me to try this place- they labeled it as the best coffee shop in town. Of course, as a cold brew lover, I had to try it. Needless to say, they were not wrong. This mocha cold brew was so smooth, not too sweet and with the right amount of chocolate. The baristas were lovely, and made sure every cup of coffee was perfect. I loved how clean the shop was, and how there were lots of art pieces displayed. I ordered the same thing every morning during my time in Portland and I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town. read more

There was nothing wrong with the coffee I got, but I found the lack of a menu annoying because you have no idea how much anything is going to cost unless you ask, and who wants to ask about the prices of the 3 different sizes (I already had to ask what the sizes were when they asked what size I wanted), or any of the add ones? Plus, there's no way to know if they have any specialty drinks I might want to try. I assume they don't have any because I'm not sure how anyone would know about them. I think it's pretentious to not have a menu, it seems like something that would happen on Portlandia. It then took 11 minutes for me to get my drink. I'm glad it was a nice day, as I was asked to wait outside, but it wasn't that busy. I do t know why it took so long. Staff was very cheerful and friendly, but the coffee wasn't good enough for me to come back with the slow service and lack of menu. read more
