I'm not usually a coffee drinker as it can get way too strong for me, but the white mochas are delish, not strong tasting but it sures does keep you awake! I absolutely love this place! It's a great stop before work for a quick bagel and coffee. The workers (probably owners as well) are quick to greet you and help you as soon as they can. Their bagels are fresh, and their coffee GOOD (and I'm kind of picky.) It's never busy, but I go very early, so I don't know if it gets packed. This place is not about the coffee even though it's called coffee time nor is it about the food, it's about getting the customer's order, taking the money and getting them out. It's definitely not about 'the customer is always right'. It's too bad with a name like coffee time the coffee and espresso is just bad, terrible. I love this place! Though not so much for the coffee. The regular coffee is good, but the lattes are hit-or-miss. I say this not because they're bad, but because they mostly taste just like the ones I make at home ;P When I come here, it's for the food. I LOVE the seared salmon sandwich and the "gourmet hot dogs." Also a fan of the sweet potato and avocado wrap as well. They're very creative with their stuff, and the deli itself is just adorable. The staff is great, never even a hint of attitude and it's like they truly appreciate you coming there. With friendly service, lattes prepared with care, and scrumptious bagel sandwiches, I'll be coming back for more. Just what I needed after dropping coworkers off at the Oakland Airport. It's close by, and the very reasonably priced. I had a ham, egg, and cheese croissant and it was delicious! It wasn't oily or soggy like most places. It was soft, flaky, and had that delicious buttery croissant flavor. The egg and ham were hot and fresh... Needed a quick bite with the wife and baby before heading to the Oakland Zoo, so searched yelp and came about this place super close to our house. This little coffee shop with sandwiches and bagels hit the spot!! I already made my own coffee so didn't try that, but based on other reviews seems their cappuccinos and coffees are real good and will give a review about that next time. This time I had the Pastrami Sandwich and my wife had the Ham and Cheese Wrap. Both had a good amount of freshly cut meat, and the bread was nicely toasted. The more impressive thing I thought was the veggies in these things - fresh spinach, cucumbers, lettuce, and tomatoes; found this surprising since it was a small cafe kind of out in an industrial area. For me the food and small style cafe with outside patio seating was excellent, as well as the friendly staff and service. Only drawback is it is located in a kind of rundown industrial area so kind of kills the scenary a bit if you want to sit down in the patio to enjoy your coffee or sandwich. But hey great sandwiches and coffee at a fairly cheap price is only possible if the rent is cheap for a small cafe like this. Will definitely come again!! read more

I went to this cool hole in the wall back to back days. Let it be said I like places like this. A run down hoot and holler, with folks lined up for the morning run. The first day, a sausage breakfast croissant. At just a mere $4.35, a true bargain and quite delicious as I drove to my next appointment. The perfect grab and run. Today I went with the breakfast burrito, which is so tiny I literally laughed when I unwrapped this thimble in my car. Same price and, seriously, do not buy this. Lol. I spoke to a young man while I was waiting for my order. A regular, he raved about their sandwiches and also their teriyaki plate. He suggested maybe 6 different sandwiches. They even wrap and tie a bow around their lunch sandwiches. Come here every morning when I'm in town and stock up. The ladies that run the place are quick and get you in and out. So I've been coming here for a while, I get a Turkey with Swiss and pesto on a roll. (owners you know who this is) And have been charged $6.50... and after looking at their menu while waiting for the umpteenth time, I started to wonder "how much is a basic build your own sandwich" as I only see 'Custom built' sandwiches. So I ask... Hey how much is a basic meat and cheese sandwich, why are these others that have bacon, avocado, cheese and all the veggies only $6.15?? The answer........ it's $6.00 for the meat & Cheese ..... ... AND .50c FOR THE ROLL!!!!!!!! really?? .50c for the roll, so the menu sandwiches are all +.50c?? so really that $6.15 sandwich that comes with Bacon, Avocado, Cheese and other stuff is actually $6.65 because the roll isn't factored in??? So rather than next time just order a #20 minus avocado/veggies and stuff, I can upgrade to Bacon AND save .35c? There will not be a next time, bold faced overcharging your customers and not being able to justify means LOST CUSTOMER. The meat is pretty plentiful, and someone suggested, "Maybe because it's plain they give you more meat" but I countered saying... then why wouldn't they say that instead of it's 6 for the meat/cheese and .50 for the bread??? so all in all, Coffee Time, you lost a customer... hopefully you will either CHARGE MORE for the items that have more premium add-on's or CHARGE LESS for those who get basic BYO sandwiches. read more

As a matter of fact I just came from there.... everytime i come here that song pops into my head from MC Hammer...harharhar aside from that when you call to order they know who you are as soon as you step into their place lol. The San Leandro grill is the BOMB! Ask them to put it on a sourdough roll. The other sandwiches are pretty money too! They are also always so pleasant and happy to have you in there!
