The bakery is still great. I was a little sad that they were out of the bostock but that's what I get for coming at 12 on Saturday I guess. I did get a sticky bun which I've never ordered before and it was pretty good. The gal who was working the counter was really nice and it's a cool ambience inside. Parking is always pretty easy.

As my wife was taking care of some errand with her mom at the bank, she said I should explore, and I stumbled upon As Kneaded Bakery. I had seen that my friend, Lee D, had visited it before, so I decided to check them out. A nice tiny bakery. There was a small line around 9AM. Their display case was filled with their baked goodies. I wanted to try them all but settled on a couple of things. Ginger Molasses Cookie (4/5) - so soft, chewy, and flavorful. This was pretty good. I'd get this again. Cream & Currant Scone (4/5) - A bit on the dry side as expected but once it was toasted up, and added some butter, my wife said, it was pretty good! My wife loves scones. The service was sweet and welcoming. They really were efficient and moved the line along so the wait was minimal. No place to sit, so it was a grab and go place. Support your local business.

So happy As Kneaded Bakery has been thriving in my neighborhood and they are here to stay. They have expanded there hours and love the added a display case and counter inside. This visit we had the raisin snail, cardamom swirl for breakfast and a Honey Rye Porridge sourdough bread for later. As expected the pastries were fresh, flaky and perfect with my morning coffee. The HRP loaf was soft and crunchy (we didn't wait much later) and perfect with butter and jam. Service was quick, efficient and friendly

3.5 stars rounded up. Quality/Quantity - My wife loves your focaccia bread. But neither one of us was wowed with today's Blackberry Thyme focaccia. Sorry. And it looked/felt smaller than usual...? BTW, we travel with an extra plastic bag because your breads are soaked in olive oil, maybe part of the reason it tastes so good as it stays moist. But our first experience almost ruined our car. Since my daughter is on vacation in LA, I did not buy her the usual cookies that she loves from here. Atmosphere - LOL. The first time we have been inside. Cool. See pictures. We have always had to buy our bakery items from your door. Thank you for being more welcoming. Today, for the first time, there was plenty of street parking. In the past, you used to be so busy that one of us had to double park while the other got in line. Has sales dropped? Anyways, nice to be able to have both of us come in, literally come inside for the first time. Open 6 days a week from 8am or 9am to 3pm; closed Tuesdays. Service - Good. Price - $11, expensive but that is the cost for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2016; we are still regular customers.

I came here looking for bagels. The place is near residential housing on a not so busy street on a Sunday morning. Inside you can see the work area with many ovens. There is a small display with sweet and savory pastries. The wait was short. I didn't find any bagels but they had many other bread and pastry options. So far I've had the sticky bun which tasted really good. Later I will eat my triple chocolate chip cookie and pain au chocolat.

One of my favorite bread bakeries in the SF Bay Area. Their loaves have nice color and good moisture in the crumb. My favorites are the Honey Porridge and Sunflower loaves. I also appreciate they bake special things for cultural holidays. I've tried their pan de muerto for the Dias de Los Muertos holiday. I've also seen hamantaschen, honey cake, challah.

Excellent pastries - tried the almond croissant and the raspberry almond bostock. Very fresh and well made. They don't serve coffee, and don't have restrooms or seating inside. But there's a nice grassy area & benches outside that are perfect for inhaling those perfectly flaky treats.

When I passed by Roccabs at 1:40pm same day, the doors were open and patrons were inside eating lunch. I continued to call and no one was answering the phones. After I finished shopping at Sprouts, I returned to my car and decided to go to Roccabs in person. I was still calling and still no one answered. I pulled up in front of the deli before 2pm and there were still patrons dining "inside" of the deli. I got out of my car and headed inside only to meet one of the employees as she was leaving and she smiled and said, "Im sorry we are closing now". I looked over at the two women who were sitting down and eating their lunch, as I was turned away. There were no hours posted on the door, and everyone behind the counter was literally standing around talking. I probably will not return based on the service. Not answering the phones, but your doors are open and you are serving patrons who were white and turning away people of color coming through the door, during normal business hours according to Google and no signs on the door indicating special hours today. All while turning away POC patrons on MLK day. Nope!!! Do better Roccab. You could have taken the time to post special hours and since you were in fact open, you could have answered the phones to let customers know you had special hours today or that you were Not open to the public. These are simple things to do. And it looks really awkward telling someone you are not open, when you have other people dining inside your establishment.

Foods not great, but the real issue is the parking meters outside throughout the entire lot. Why…read moreare these here? Is it private property and these tickets are just empty threats? With most lots like this you can't be compelled to pay the tickets - only when the city issues tickets are they enforceable. The plaza is privately owned, and everything is leased out. So does San Leandro own it? Does the plaza owner think these meters are good for our city? I think the plaza owner will be happy to know that I am on the case and I've never lost a war in my life. I lose fights often, strategically, but never the grand scheme battles. Issues that affect my fellow citizens (like this) are a marathon, and I sprint through them. I promise these meters will be removed. If they refuse, I will demand an appropriate sacrifice from the plaza ownership. If the city somehow owns this plaza and installed these meters - Is San Leandro in need of our quarters that badly, and if so, why don't these even accept quarters? Only allowing electronic pay is certainly a decision. They probably expect us all to be robots in a few years and want to get their infrastructure ready to squeeze the oil out of us when that day comes. I used to get tickets in parking lots in Walnut Creek and would just tear them up. It never came back to haunt me. If I kept parking in those same lots I suppose they could eventually tow the car but I wouldn't give them the opportunity. I still like lowkey small businesses like this one, no frills or decorations, just show up for food. As far as sandwiches go I don't think this is my preference but they come across as very nice and consistent. Other people like this place, it seems. I don't like cold stack sandwiches unless some attention goes into the accents so I'm not the target audience here. The lady at the front was very friendly but this isn't really a sit down service place, they just give you the food.

I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

We were in the area and it has been years since we ate at the original one, probably since they first opened. We were greeted and seated right away. Our order was taken in a timely manner. We ordered the Oxtail pho, banh mi xiu mai, bot chien, and an avocado smoothie. Our food came out pretty quick minus the bot chien which the server said usually takes awhile. Oxtail pho was as good as we remember. Oxtail was fall off the bone, actually, all the meats in the pho were very tender, which we love. Banh mi xiu mai was all right. I felt like something was missing, but I can't figure out what it is.
