LOVED this little place! Great ambiance, one of those cool little places that the locals go. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food did not disappoint! I had the country fried steak and my wife had the Mediterranean omelet and we were both very pleased. The portions are large and the prices are great for the quality of the food. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Moving up here from Manteca February 2024, I've always wanted to try this place and I finally did!! My boyfriend took me here for breakfast and as you can see from the pictures, the food was delicious!! I love the atmosphere inside. Employees friendly and always smiling and asking if everything is alright. Portions were huge!! We will definitely come back!! I rate it a 5

The food is good and the portions are decent. The ambiance and look of the place is cozy and inviting. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they only sell drip coffee; no lattes, cappuccino, etc.

1st time back in while, came in with my daughter for breakfast on a Saturday mid morning place was packed as always, but we got a table right away. Our waitress came over pretty fast with ice water and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. I got the corn beef hash with over easy eggs and hash-brown. The corn beef hash was good, egg were prefect and hash-brown was crispy on both sides. My daughter got a waffle with strawberries and bananas with a side of avocado. She loved it!!!

We visited on a Saturday and found parking right away along the street. It was busy/lively when we visited and got seated right away. We got our drinks (water and coffee) as soon as we were seated. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Krabby Cake Benedict which was really good and full of flavor; definitely recommend! My fiancé ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and he said it was good!

I've lived in the area for some time now and so sad I only recently stopped in. Staff was very welcoming and attentive- we were seating right away and the coffee refills were flowing. Always appreciate that. I loved their huveos a la mexicana. It was flavorful, and spicy, but not overly spicy. And the person I came with, really enjoyed their hash. Will definitely come back.

I came here for a team lunch and just loved my experience. I couldn't stop looking at the decor, the old photos and camera just captivated my attention. I ordered the BLT and it was delicious, great temperature and texture. My only feedback is they couldn't cooked the bacon a bit longer. The fries were crispy and flavorful. The service was excellent. I just had a great time and will return.

what a nice little café to stop by on our road trip. Very welcoming atmosphere a lot of seating and we got our food. Pretty fast in the service was good. The café is decorated with a lot of antiques which helped with passing time waiting for the food to get there. A lot of history in this café.

I've been craving this place since the last time I posted on Yelp when I went here so I wanted to go there & this time try the French toast. We went today also because I thought they weren't going to be open tomorrow for Labor Day and after speaking to the owner we could have came here tomorrow for my mom's birthday but it's okay. We did have to go on a waitlist when we came but we didn't even wait that long it was like maybe less then 3 minutes til they sat us down. It didn't take long for our food since I already knew what to get. Food was delicious like always & the servers were very sweet. My mom & I enjoyed the food & love coming here & talking to the owner who's very sweet & caring

Sometimes, I don't get enough sleep. And it shows. We had to drop off a vehicle at the local Honda dealership for warranty work. Then we headed for breakfast. Our first choice had no nearby parking, so we headed for our second choice. Pelton Cafe is staffed by friendly people. The food is good and service is usually pretty quick. We ordered and got coffee as soon as we sat down. The menu has standard breakfast items plus some Mexican flavors. My usual go-to is either Chicken Fried Steak or Huevos Rancheros. Today, for whatever reason, I also felt like a Waffle Combination with Eggs and Bacon. It took a minute for the server to come take our order and when it was my turn, I completely spazzed. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with Country Gravy. That comes with Two Eggs, which I got Over Easy and then a choice of Hash Browns or Grits. For bread, I asked for a Biscuit with more Gravy. That's already a decent sized breakfast but my mouth kept running and I also ordered some Bacon that I most definitely did not need. She got Breakfast #3 which had Two Pancakes, Three Eggs Over Easy and Four Link Sausages, Small Glass of Juice and included Coffee. Not to worry. We are eating professionals. We enjoyed our meals. There were no leftovers or any food wasted.

Ask the Community - Pelton Cafe

Will it be open on Christmas?

I know my answer is not helpful but I don't know if they are or not. I know that there were a lot of businesses in Hayward closed for XMAS. Best to call them a few weeks before to confirm to be sure.

We saw a street parking as soon as we turn, and just parked even though it was 1000 ft away. The drink/cocktail list is vast, but we are not much of a cocktail drinker and not usually drink during lunch, but I saw Matcha Sharka being ordered a lot and the other seemingly popular drink was this lavender drink. If you are a cocktail drinker during lunch, do check them out. We ordered 4 shareable items: * Savoy Donuts - 5 stars - fluffy and yummy, not greasy at all * Focaccia w/ Meyer Lemon and Garlic Confit - 4.5 stars - wonderful texture, did not taste the garlic much but the lemon was really good add. * Grilled Beef and Pork Chipolata - 4 stars - I think the star was the dressing. The meat itself was just okay. * Rice Vermicelli Bowl - 4.5 stars - not sure why it is called a bowl when it was served more in a plate. This is the fusion take on the Vietnamese dish with different dressing. We selected the Galangal Pork, which I did not like as much compared to the usual Vietnamese ones with Lemon Grass. There is a choice to select Lemongrass chicken instead, so you might want to try that. The pork tasted "porky" despite it was thinly cut. I was hoping to try dessert, but we were full so we did not do that. Next time. The restaurant is nicely set, and you can select indoor or outdoor seating. We did make a reservation, but when we arrived there were plenty of tables available. Service was fine, we did not get the "is this your first time" greeting as I heard other tables got. But it was our first time.

This spot is a little hidden, but once you go inside, it is its own little oasis. Small and intimate, you know the dishes are made fresh. Place is spacious, lively, dimly lit with music playing at a level you can have a conversation. Table ordered a steak sandwich with salad, cheese sandwich with tomato soup and a five-spice pork ragu over polenta. We all enjoyed our dishes. Food is 3.5-4/5 stars and would like to see a bit more to keep it interesting but know their kitchen setup is limited. No wine with this visit. Dessert: Orange brownie was simple with orange zest and the Hawaiian bread pudding was different and flavorful. Good to see the place bustling and look forward to future rotating pop up events. Got a chance to talk to the owner, Stacey as I recognized her from the Eats by E event the week prior. My bad, didn't know she was the owner of Cordial Cellar & Lounge but all good as she was super welcoming, friendly and was very accommodating when asked if we could pay for our own dishes separately. At the end of the evening perused the Olive & Finn Boutique and quickly welcomed by Jackie who was explaining items like the handmade jewelry and some hand stitched clothing. Such cute items and will visit another time. Recommend Cordial Cellar & Lounge for a date night, special group outing or relax and listen to some music. At the same time, it's the driver behind why reservations are so hard to get. Hard but not impossible if you just make sure to set an alarm for when they are released. The Taiwanese style sausage on steamed brioche was both my partner and my favorite dish of the night. The bun is so good. In general, I liked the smaller bites the most - egg custard tart, uni tofu, pretzel croissant! The bay leaf ice cream at the end was also a highlight. Also don't miss out on their house made chili crisp that you can buy. It's somehow not that spicy while still having all the flavor. It's my favorite thing to top noodles with right now.
