So on a Thursday night, around 9pm, I went to grab a sandwich and check their hours. It's true, they stay open until 1AM, except on Sunday. I asked them why, and they said to support the nightshift workers in that complex and anyone else who works at night. That's really cool, because not everyone works a 9-to-5 job. When I was there, I ordered a Large Pastrami Reuben, on Sourdough, made Togo's Style. The sandwich I got was loaded with meat. Nothing skimpy. And it was spicy! Very good customer service! Togo's is usually my go-to for a solid sandwich, but today's experience was a little underwhelming. I stick to my usual favorites--ham and cheese, pastrami, or hot roast beef--because they're reliably good. Today, I went with the daily special, a ham and Swiss, but swapped out the Swiss for American cheese, expecting the usual Togo's quality. Instead, the sandwich felt more like something from Subway. The amount of ham was disappointing--normally, Togo's loads up their sandwiches enough to make it worth the extra cost. But if all I'm getting is veggies and bread, what's the point, esp since I'm spending more? See picture. Brings me to this location. It's been in the HomeDepot parking lot forever and used to be trash. Something happened since my years of bypassing it because I went in a few months back and had a sandwich made perfectly. FFWD to today, this is now my 5-6th time here, same kid making my sandwich, fast, efficient, and stuffs these bad boys full. I have gone to different togos around the area before they usually have a tablet to order but not this one. The store aesthetic was a bit dark and messy. The floor had lots food crumbs. We ordered 3 sandwiches. My sister went first to order then I ordered the Italian sandwich. I wanted to add pickles and onions and they forgot my lettuce. I got this sandwich before and it usually comes with lettuce. Then when my other sister started to order the last sandwich the worker was slamming things around and looked very annoyed. She also forgot the lettuce in her sandwich. Lastly she also moved the trash can 2x while making our order and didn't change her gloves. Dude The iceberg lettuce was discolored reddish pink on a salad i bought today. Although generally safe to eat, the discoloration is signs of old lettuce or improper storage. Throw it out and get a new bag. Wont be getting salads here again, you lost it, my business. read more

Togo's changed the dry salami to genoa salami and its terrible, nothing like before. Togos used to have one of the best salami sandwiches, one of my favorites. I hate to give this place a one star, but I was severely disappointed in my cheesesteak sandwich. On about my fifth bite, there were two long pieces of what seemed to be mesh wiring in my sandwich. After showing one of the workers and telling her that I found it in my sandwich , I was met with just an apology as she threw it away. I hope that they went through the rest of the meats to make sure it wasn't contaminated. Unfortunately I won't be coming to this location for awhile. The other side is you could get bad service. Togo's on Davis St in San Leandro has a 3-17 record of making us happy when we go there. 3 wins, 17 losses. It has been more trouble than it has been worth. I'm afraid we are done with this location. I HAVE to give you a star, but only one. There is another location in San Leandro that I need to try. There was a short line and multiple people working behind the counter (which is kind of high lol well compared to Subway). Anyway, I went with a 6" Salami & Provolone on parmesan cheese bread. Since we were in San Leandro taking care of business, we noticed the TOGO signage upon exiting 880 (Nimitz Freeway - Davis Street West). It felt like a Laurel and Hardy movie when I got here, sadly it only got worse. I went to one side of the counter, told to go to the other side, as I was walking there I was told to go back to where I was. I asked what kind of bread they had, I asked for the parmigiana cheese bread and then told they didn't have that. I was fine with sourdough. It took quite a while to slice it and put cheese on it and toast it, over 3 minutes. Then the staff person tried in vain to drain the grease from there last bit of pulled pork and if course pulled the produce on top. I asked to have the sauce actually on the meat, the way it was shown and so another wait to find some sauce, change gloves, move the produce, put the sauce on the meat and put it back together with the produce. Mistakenly going the ordeal was almost over it was another 3-4 minute consult to ring up my order. Finally I had a sandwich, a bag of chips and a cup to fill with tea. Yes, dear reader, it's not over yet. The ice tea was rancid, the sandwich dripping with grease and nasty to taste. There was trash on the floor and the tables were not clean. Friendly staff, but UNDERSTAFFED. Slow as heck service. I couldn't possibly see someone running over here to grab a "quick" lunch on their lunch break when it takes 10 or more minutes for one single person to get their sandwich. Which is crazy because sandwich shops should typically be a quick grab-n-go type of business. The staff wasn't moving like sloths, but certainly with no sense of urgency. I stood there at 8pm in line for 20 min because 2 pple in line ahead of me. That's crazy! The food is good, but beware of the potential lag time. I do also wish they offered more toppings (mushrooms, sprouts, etc). Also, they forgot the au jus that was supposed to come with husband's Triple Dip sandwich. He was hella disappointed when we got home and realized that it was too late. Maybe it's just me, but the counter is too high for me to watch them making the food (unlike Subway where everything is eye level), so I wouldn't be able to tell if the employee was getting the order correct until I'm already home and ready to eat. I did see other customers stepping up on the ledge and bending over the counter to catch a glimpse of their order being made; I followed suit but still couldn't see much lol. Haven't been here in such a long time sine I don't work I the area often, but decided I had a craving for it. I only waited about 3 min, and they we apologetic for the wait. I ordered the Asian chicken salad wrap with a side of the broccoli cheddar soup. The wrap was ok, tasty and the dressing had a good flavor. The soup was eh. I should've skipped that and gotten chips or a cookie instead. The area is pretty busy and has indoor and outdoor seating. It can seem kinda sketchy...I don't think I'd come here at night.
