Concha Dreams is at the front of Dirty Bird Lounge where Tailfeather Kitchen is at in the afternoon. In its 2nd month, they have a steady flow of patrons. small seating area is unchanged thru the years. Same decor. Same seats. Same counter for eats & drinks. Street parking nearby. Ordered at counter after entering. Latte & Concha ready in minutes. Small menu of traditional conchas & filled ones. Drinks are traditional coffee & some Mex. Varietals. Sips: Mexican mocha latte (6.50) hot -pretty sweet with Abuelita chocolate. Stayed with regular milk. Addictive. Either lst time or haven't had it for awhile. 4.5 stars Bites: Vanilla Concha (4.50) -biggest ever seen. Very fresh. Crunchy top texture. Slightly sweet. melt in mouth quality. Maybe a breakfast or ham & cheese one next time. 5 stars. 4.5 stars: Worthy! Quantity: reasonable Quantity: Excellent!

This concha spot is a dream! So cute, small, and locally owned I love supporting places like this. I had to try the churro concha and wow... so good! Soft, sweet, and full of flavor. The coffee was amazing too great taste and the perfect pairing. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a little gem!

I got to try the coffee shop that's inside the Dirty Bird in Hayward. I have to say so glad that I did because their cafe de Olla latte was soooooo good! Their conchas look really great. They aren't vegan or gluten free. They're only open Tuesday through Saturday so just keep an eye out for that. Plenty of parking on B Street or behind the building. For their breakfast conchas you are able to substitute the concha for their in house made croissant which was cool. Looking forward to trying their other coffees.

Order: Oat milk Mexican mocha made with Abuelita chocolate. Visit: Tuesday 01/20/26 Overall, the drink was good. I would definitely go back to try some of the other drinks and the conchas. The conchas looked very lovely, but I wasn't in the mood for one at the time. I wasn't sure if there were different cup sizes available, as I wasn't asked which size I wanted and didn't see size options posted. The service was great. The two women who assisted me were extremely welcoming and friendly. As a small suggestion, it would be nice if the establishment opened right at 8:00 AM as stated in the business hours, so customers don't have to wait while employees finish setting up. I personally didn't mind since my order was made quickly, but I know some people may be in a rush to get to work, school etc. The ambiance is cute. The café is located inside Dirty Bird and is gated off. They offer tables for seating, and there was plenty of parking available at 8:00 AM on a Tuesday. Overall, I enjoyed this place and will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.

Churro Concha, Tres Leches Matcha (hot)

The churro concha I ate was so yummy, I want to come back and try a different flavor next time - there is a unique variety available, I highly recommend coming by because they had ube and matcha when I came, I've never seen those before. I liked the Tres Leches Matcha, the matcha flavor was tasty but the tres leches wasn't as strong as I personally prefer but still delicious nonetheless. The only employees were awesome and very kind. They had lovely attitudes and were extremely patient with every customer. I wish there was more seating, I saw some people having to stand at the bar while waiting for chairs to free up. I also wish there were napkin dispensers more readily accessible but I think how they've arranged the space is really cute.

Yum! First time trying this sweet and savory breakfast sandwich. It was delicious! Would recommend! Tried both vanilla and strawberry flavor and both were delicious. It looks like they make the bread, so another plus!!

Located inside the Dirty Bird Lounge on B Street, music playing definitely brings a vibe! The service is friendly and fast! The cold Mex Mocha latte is 10/10. Absolutely delicious! The chocolate is rich and smooth, the espresso is robust, and everything blends together perfectly. It tastes indulgent without being overwhelming--definitely a go-to mocha latte! I also ordered a mini concha for my daughter and she tore it up! I will definitely make this a regular stop for coffee and snacks!

Concha Dreams in Hayward makes some really good conchas. The flavors are fresh and the texture is soft with a nice crunch on top. If you go, definitely try their breakfast concha. It is a fun mix of their sweet concha with a savory filling in the middle, and it works surprisingly well. It is one of those things you try once and immediately want again. This spot is a great addition to the area.

I went in for a pick me up coffee and I've never tried this place but heard a lot about it. Service was very nice and fast! The concha is actually really good and was so fluffy, I'd definitely come back just to buy conchas to go. The coffee was also just what I was looking for. Just sweet enough and had a good taste!

I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

Not only are the pastries some of the prettiest that I've seen but they're actually quite tasty (and not too sweet either)! Comes in a nice branded box too. Before I rattle off my reviews of the pastries that I tried I'll say that the pastries here, although laminated, have no crisp and are strictly the soft and chewy type (think Costco croissants). I prefer some crisp, but I wouldn't hesitate on returning here to try more things. - French tart: amaaazing egg custard filling. It's so milky it's almost flan-like! - Brownie fruit tart: omg prob one of my fave brownie textures; not fudgy-dry and not too-cake-like either. Nailed the custard filling as well. I'd say my fave pastry in the bunch. - Passion fruit ganache danish: deliciously tart passion fruit filling! - Sweet cheese bowtie: funny enough the sweet cheese reminds me a lot of Cheez Whiz haha (nostalgic for me) but silkier and lighter in taste. The sweet cheese is only in the center of the bowtie. - Ham & cheese: flavorful ham but could've had a little bit more of it. The cheese part tastes similar to the cheese filling in the sweet cheese bowtie. - Ube moon: mad props for ube jam actually being used here instead of just ube extract like at most bakeries that offer ube treats. I will say though that the ube filling is a bit too dense; maybe the ube jam could've been mixed with some custard to make the filling lighter. Only a couple of customers in line when I visited on a Sunday early afternoon and the display case was still more-than-half full. Though the bakery is pretty small, it was perfectly cozy with plenty outdoor seating available. There are a couple tables outside, and a bar-style seating area outside. Plus, a lot of parking spaces are available! The pastries are displayed beautifully under the warm lights of the shelf. Totally cute! Most importantly.. Instagram worthy! I got two original croissants, an orange creme brulee, and a strawberry crescent croissant. The original croissants were perfectly crunchy, and not too airy that there isn't anything inside the shell. Pretty dense in you ask me, and I love it that way! The orange creme brulee was really pretty. Caught my eye in the crowd! Though I thought that the croissant-style bread on the outside of the pastry was not crispy enough, the creme brulee definitely had a rich orange-y aroma. The strawberry crescent was my absolute favorite. I love how the hard, dense outside contrasted with the creamy center. The strawberry cream in the center isn't too sweet in my opinion! The shape wasn't just creative, it was also so fun to eat! You'll be seeing me again!
